A week in southern Maine. This rental was great. It was 20 minutes to the beach on a hot day. The rental is serene and quiet in the woods and provides a great contrast to the beach.
We had a very comfortable, relaxing, and peaceful time. Very well stocked with everything we needed. The grounds were beautiful/well taken care of. Large yard and patio off of kitchen was a plus for our 2 dogs to play in.
We highly recommend Mill Lane if you are looking for quiet after a day in York.
Will definitely stay here again on our next travels to Maine.
Thank you John & Janna for your wonderful hospitality!
I hesitate to share because I’d like to keep this gem all to myself. The space is warm cozy and beautifully appointed inside and out. Located in a serene little neighborhood a stones throw to the beaches and across a beautiful reservoir from Mt Agamenticus with all it’s beautiful nature trails. We simply could not have asked for more and look forward to returning one day soon. Thank you!
We loved our stay at John’s property. Even though the unit is part of the main house, it’s tucked away in the back, with its own entrance and views, so it was like it was a separate building. It was well appointed and decorated, and spotlessly clean.
The kitchen is small-ish, but had everything we needed. The living room is spacious and opens right up to the porch that has a fire table and comfy seating.
Great Lake (reservoir) views. Unfortunately there’s now water activities permitted on it, but great to look at.
We were able to bring our 2 dogs… and they loved it!
Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area.
Loved the well appointed space. Had a desk chair and folding table in the closet that we used as a desk. The variety of outdoor spaces is fantastic and are appropriate for a variety of weather. Nice grill as well. Shower is a little small but otherwise fine. Has Starlink Internet which is huge for speed and streaming. Had some issues with voice dropping on MS Teams but the cell coverage in the area (Verizon) is good enough to get a stable voice connection.
Very self sufficient and comfortable little house. We were unfamiliar with the washer/dryer combo, (very loud), and could only hold a couple of items at a time. Not a fan. Otherwise, some would just love the house, and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
I loved my stay on Mill Lane. It was incredibly quiet. It is off the beaten path. It was so nice after being in York for beach time to come back to the quiet and serenity of York Lane. The house very clean and comfortable. The bonus of a gas powered fire stove so I could warm up on cold days. Spent every evening reading on the front porch.
I was able to walk to the pond every day with the dogs so they could go for a swim. Took a hike up Mt. Agamenticus.
I will definitely work a future trip to Maine and stay again.
We loved our week long stay in the this house. The space is not large, but it had everything we needed. Great outdoor spaces, firepit with wood ready to go. The kitchen had enough for two of us to cook and eat, we enjoyed playing cards at the kitchen high top.
We were working remotely while there. The internet is great in the living room, decent in the bedroom, good on the front porch, but doesn't quiet reach the kitchen.
The owners were easy to communicate with, the house was easy to access, and the location was great for driving around Maine!
This place was super clean, cozy and comfortable. Had everything we would need fpr our stay. Owners are really nice and thoughtful (left a welcoming note and bottle of wine chilled and waiting for our arrival) This was the best vrbo place we ever stayed in. Look forward to renting from them again in the future.
The place was cozy and immaculate. The bdrm needs a little lighting update, the appliance brochures should be left on the kitchen table. The owner was very responsive in responding to our question.
