Quaint cabin in ideal setting for Mountain Town

The house was a very clean and accommodating house for six adults over three days. The property managers did an excellent job of dealing with any issues that came up during the stay. Highly recommend.

Digital Passcodes were inaccurate.

Great property, clean and lovely. Access to property was difficult. Called VRBO, waited on hold while standing in the cold. Tried to explain why the problem to the representative, but there was a language barrier. After about 15 minutes was directed to a lockbox to access a key.

Good location

The house is in a good location, quiet but close enough to town to walk to restaurants. It matched the photos and description. However some things need either repair or user information. We could not get the oven to work, meaning we had to throw away the frozen pizzas we had bought. And the water temperature in the annex shower was not hot enough. In general, the property was fine for a short stay by our party of two couples, bbut I cannot wholeheartedly recommend it.

Great!

It was a great stay with great location and amenities. The washer and dryers made our life easy. We really enjoyed our stay. Few suggestions: The master bedroom (separate unit) had different vibes than the other unit. Loved the ecopod. Property manager was responsive. The ants started showing up from the second day.

Best getaway

We had the most amazing time staying here. The cabin is so lovely and has so much life and character and history embedded in its bones. You can feel the energy running through this little cabin. If I go back to Idyllwild any time soon I would love to rsnt this cabin again. I felt so comfortable and at home here. Thank you fo such a lovely experience. It snowed during our stay and things couldn't have been anymore perfect.

Great family getaway

My wife, and 2 kids had a great time staying here. We got a bit of snow during our stay and the boys had a great time out on the deck playing with the fresh snow. The house had everything we needed, and my wife loved the vintage touches throughout the house. Super close to town, would have walked if it weren't for the snow.

Charming Vintage Cabin Retreat: A Cozy Stay Amidst Serenity

Our recent stay at the "Serene & cozy vintage 1950s cabin with fireplace" was a delightful escape into rustic charm. Nestled amidst serene surroundings, this vintage cabin provided the perfect backdrop for a cozy retreat. Accommodations were comfortable throughout our stay. Both the main house and the casita exuded a sense of cleanliness and care, ensuring a pleasant experience for all guests. While our experience was overwhelmingly positive, we did notice a few minor repairs that could enhance the overall experience. However, I'm pleased to note that these concerns have been shared with the attentive management staff, who I'm confident will address them promptly. In conclusion, our stay at this vintage cabin was a memorable and rejuvenating experience. From the serene ambiance to the cozy comforts, it offered everything we sought in a retreat. I look forward to returning and immersing myself once again in its timeless charm.

Cozy cabin

We love cabin style living . We stayed two nights and were out most of the time so we didn’t really use anything ! The water was boiling hot . Great for a shower . The bathtub situation was a little difficult with that huge plastic all around … There was no way of plugging up the bathtub so one could take a bath unfortunately … The bed was comfy and once we figured out how to turn on the heater the place was warm ..The decor fabulous , looking over the books from the fifties great fun ! The town of Idyllwild absolutely divine ! Everyone has a dog !! It’s incredible you see the most lovely dogs walking around town with their owners and we were lucky enough to meet Max the Mayor of the town !!! ( a Golden Retriever ) You just know a town can’t be bad if it has a dog for a Mayor ! All in all our trip was great and we would love to return one day !

Property had lots of flying bugs that somehow get into the cabin at night. Lots of spider webs. Bathroom door won’t close. Blankets stained and have holes (gross). No AC, so we often got sweaty indoors. Definitely would not recommend.

Loved this old school cabin.

This cabin is a 1950s authentic, rustic, quaint cabin. If you're looking for a place with a modern feel, this isn't it (except for the washer/dryer addition perhaps). If you're looking for a cabin that hasn't changed much in 60 years, that makes you sigh with nostalgia, this is the perfect place for you. Even has old school, keyed roller skates and a Chinese checker board as part of the decor. We would not change a thing about it. Everything works, I think. We never turned on the TV, so can't confirm it's working. The place was very clean. Only downsides were the Keurig coffee machine and the trundle bed. We were 3 older gals, staying 2 nights, and they only provided 4 Keurig coffee pods. Ugh. Plus, we really don't like the environmental impact of individual, plastic pods. Our generation and our parents' generation have done enough damage to the Earth. We brought our own coffee because the listing said it had a coffee pot. Next time, we'll confirm the type of coffee maker. The trundle bed was quite firm and almost unusable. The bedroom door handle kept coming off, too. But we actually thought that added to the charm of the cabin, so we didn't mind it at all. Please don't fix it! The Vacasa property manager needs more employees. We had some questions during our stay, including a time-sensitive question, and we didn't receive responses until more than a day later. Not a good look for the Property Manager. All in all, please keep this place as quaint as it is.
