Remodeled Mid-town Historical District Gem

Welcome to Stonewall Apartments #1! Located in the Evergreen Historic District, this apartment is a absolute gem! It has off street parking, large closets, refinished hardwood floors, high ceilings, granite counter top, updated bathroom and a separate dining room. Our home is located in Midtown and is close to Overton Square, Cooper-Young, Downtown and a short walk to parks, restaurants, grocery stores & more.

The space:
You have the entire apartment to yourself. Upon booking you'll receive a code for the smart lock for both the building and apartment doors. Water bottles are in the fridge.

Our cleaning crew uses their own locally made organic cleaning supplies. Complimentary sundries are provided in both the kitchen and bathroom.

Kitchen includes a coffee maker, microwave, pots, pans, utensils, and dishware. Towels are provided. The bedroom comes with hangers waiting to be used!

Other things to note -
Check-in smart lock entry: Upon arriving place hand over the smart lock to bring up the digital keypad. Enter your code given to you at the time of your reservation. The code is valid from your check-in time at 3 pm until your check-out time at 11 am. When inside the smart-lock can be locked/unlocked manually with a knob (similar to a deadbolt).

Stonewall Apartment #1 sleeps 2 with the queen size bed located in the bedroom. Clean sheets, duvet, and pillows are waiting for you!

The neighborhood was nice and quiet just a few negatives. Crumbs on the living room table also empty water bottle in the bed room, trash left in the garbage can.

Historic Neighborhood
This place is very centrally located. This is an old house so not many outlets. It is good for a short stay but not for a lengthy one. The bed is comfortable but there is not a chest or dresser to put clothes. There is a closet to hang clothes. It also has blackout curtains, which is nice since there are three windows. The kitchen has a variety sizes of pans but no pots. If you plan to cook, be sure to bring cooking utensils, spices, salt, and pepper because these are not provided. The bathroom is fine with the exception of the lighting. If you wear makeup, plan on bringing a lighted make-up mirror, otherwise it's like putting it on the dark. The security is good. A code is needed to get into the building and another code to get into the apartment. I had no prob

Rental was in bad part of town and part of a multi unit home with super thin walls. Trash left in kitchen and in fridge. One outlet per room. Unit heated by one gas furnace in the hallway. Host did responded to all my messages but only issued a partial refund claiming she couldn’t issue a full refund even tho vrbo staff said she could. Ended up having to fork out an unexpected 700$ for hotel to stay in instead.

Great Location and spanky clean!
Lovely place, that was perfect for a weekend visit to Memphis. Conveniently located, and easily accessible to many of the destinations for our trip. Perfect size for solo or couple travelers. My one critique would be lack of outlets. Understandable since it is an older property. We made it work since we were there for just two nights for leisure. But, I could see the lack of outlets being problematic for multiple travelers or business travelers (all the outlets are two prong, so you may need a adapter if your devices are 3 prong). But, other than that our stay was wonderful, the bed comfortable (love the sheets!), and the apartment has been meticulously clean and tidy. Will definitely rebook on our next trip to Memphis!

If you’re eating out for all your meals and just need a bed…
Not bad if you need an overnight alternative to a hotel. But it has poorly equipped amenities for an extended stay.

great place to lay your head
good neighborhood, off street parking, easy check in. it is an old building, so there are not many plugs which i did not prepare for, but i made it work. no in unit laundry, but you can bring quarters and do laundry in the common space outside all of the apartments. it was close to a lot of things i wanted to do/places i wanted to eat. i'm from memphis, so this was a good place to stay near where i used to live.
