Our Home was built in 2004, Vaulted ceilings and recently updated with interior paint, new carpet/tile throughout. Great size family room with 42" LCD TV/DVD and WiFi. Opens up to kitchen with all the conveniences of home(fully equipped kitchen). Kitchen nook with Bay window and table w/4 chairs. Island w/2 swivel bar stools. Formal dining area has Table & 6 chairs with a matching serving cart. Sitting area with two oversized chairs & ottoman for when you feel like curling up and reading a good book. Large master bedroom with King size bedroom set, has walk in closet, soaking tub, separate shower/toilet & double sinks. bath & bedroom linens. Ceiling fans in each Bedroom and all of our beds are comfortable. Covered patio w/patio table & 4 chairs, Gas Stainless Steel BBQ Grill. Spacious back yard. This is a 'No Smoking' zone home. Free access to 3 Community Pools, Jacuzzi Hot Tubs/Spas, Parks, Lighted Tennis & Basketball Courts, Sand Volleyball, Walking Paths, a free Play Pitch & Putt golf course. Also, this Community is surrounded by a Champion Golf Course with reasonable fees.

Comfortable Home for Working Vacation

The host supplied a beautiful, clean, spacious home in a quiet, easy to find neighborhood. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our needs. Kitchen was fully stocked with basic cooking and dining tools.Very grateful that we were able to take advantage of this home for our work-related stay. Would stay here again, and recommend to others.

Parents visit

My parents came to visit from Michigan. Upon booking this home, the hosts reached out to see if we had any questions and to ensure everyone was comfortable. They loved the home with its grassy backyard, and multiple rooms for visiting. We had a great visit with them. Excellent customer service and wonderful home! Would definitely stay again!!

Country Thunder 2021

Great location for this fun event! About 30 minutes from the concert venue. The house was great for what we needed. Didn’t get much of an opportunity to use the pools, but we went once. Make sure to go to San Tan Flat for a great meal, and live music. Such a fun place.

Home away from home!

This was our first experience of renting for more than a week and it was great. We stayed for 1 month and did so many interesting things in the surrounding area (hiking in regional parks, visiting a monastery and winery, and many more). We were within a mile of a large grocery store (Fry's) and Walmart was about 2 miles away with lots of businesses and restaurants in-between. The home is in a nice residential neighborhood (Johnson Ranch) and everyone we met was friendly. The weather was beautiful in January - we sat outside in the backyard patio everyday! We biked or walked to the numerous community parks with our grandson. We also went to the 2 community pools - they are heated and have hot tubs. The pools are about 3/4 mile in either direction from the house. There are also tennis and basketball courts and a golf course. The home was clean and loaded with many kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom accessories. We used the drip coffee maker every morning. They even have a coffee bean grinder. The appliances are older but everything was in working order. You can even park your car in the garage. The owners provided information for check-in and were very prompt in answering our questions. They also kindly accommodated an early check-in for us. I would definitely rent from Terry and Cindy again.

Comfortable & Homey

This vacation rental had all the amenities of home. The kitchen is very well equipped, and we cooked most of our meals there. Terry, the owner, is very quick to respond to questions and is helpful in becoming familiar with the area. Very nice location in the community. Close to pool, Pickleball, and golf. Grocery store is a few minutes away. Walmart is about five minutes up the road. Once you get to know the routes, everything is close by. Queen Creek has lots of stores and shopping. This is a wonderful rental that we would recommend to anyone. It would especially be suitable for families with children.

Great stay!!!

Our stay at Johnson Ranch was awesome. The home is nicely decorated for comfort and has everything a family needs while away from home. The kitchen allowed us to cook full meals and bake all our favorite Christmas tradition goodies. The two living areas were nice and allowed us to play games and have quiet time for reading and sipping coffee. This is a great place to stay when in Arizona. The owners were so easy to communicate with and made us feel like we'd known them for years. They were so helpful. Thanks and we will be back!!

Clean and spacious!

This is a wonderful place to rent! Terry, the owner, was great to work with. When we first arrived we had a few questions about the area and he was very gracious to answer them all. The house is much more spacious than some of our other rentals and very warm and inviting. We saw NO bugs anywhere in the whole month we were there. I only mention this because one review had discussed it. In fact the house was sparkling clean. Great time! Hope to go back next year...

Fun for Family!

We had a wonderful time in this house! It was so spacious that family from AK and CA could easily join us for R & R and touring the area. The 4 well appointed bedrooms and basically 2 living rooms let us spread out and give everyone their space...especially since some needed to sleep in and some are early risers. The beds and linens are very comfortable and we were impressed with the quality comforters and color schemes. The kitchen had tons of basic supplies, utensils, cookware and bakeware which made meals easy to prepare. We loved the pools that are part of the community where the house is located. They were very warm and very large. We also enjoyed the hot tub that is located right next to each of the pools. The parks in the area were a special joy for us. We loved the new Mansel Carter Oasis Park with its lake,fishing and new playground and had a couple of picnics at Desert Mountain Park. The latter is where we caught the Queen Creek Wash Trail which is an awesome paved bike trail. Although the San Tan Valey where the house is located is quite a distance from the main Phoenix area there is many shopping areas and restaurants close. We enjoyed the Queen Creek Olive Mill for some delicious breakfasts including yummy cinnamon rolls and many fast foods for a quick bite. For more shopping not too far away we liked the Queen Creek Marketplace, obviously in Queen Creek. Know that there is a ton of things in the Phoenix valley for children! For the 3 year old in our group we traveled some distance to the Phoenix Children’s Museum. It was WELL worth the trip! We also visited the Sea Life Aquarium at Arizona Mills in Tempe. Although small in comparison to large city aquariums it had an amazing number of sea creatures. Our 3 year old was most enthralled with the sea horses, shark and large turtle. I loved the 360 degree ocean tunnel. She also visited the LEGO Discovery Center next door but we found it was really more appropriate for ages 5 and up. Speaking of discovery on our last day we found a great park close to Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall. It is the McCormick Stillman Railroad Park. It includes a small train which you can ride ( 5 and under I would say), a beautiful Carousel, a large playground and a railroad museum. So in summary we found this house to be perfect for us! It was economical, in a quiet neighborhood with great pools and parks and yet allowed us to tour the Phoenix valley which we love.

Owner attitude towards renters poor.

Initially we found the house nice but on the third day two different scorpions emerged..one on a bed, one in the kitchen. The owner basically thought we were overreacting and that they were no big deal. We chose to go to a hotel at night (closest one 30 minutes away) and come back each morning to have meals and use the pool facilities down the street,do laundry, etc. We weren't comfortable sleeping there at night. Nor did we wish to have the house sprayed while we were there (no matter how "green" they say the spraying is). His attitude was very condescending. I think he finally figured out that he may get reviews like this one so after much negotiation he agreed to refund some of our hotel cost (but even then he needed to say that he wasn't required to). I am a VRBO owner and we always put the renter's well being and happiness at the top of the list...its just how you do things.

Perfect for our needs

We were a part of a larger group of retired Canadians down for a week of golf. The house was used primarily for sleeping and filled the bill. Beds were comfortable, house was clean and well equipped and Terry and Cindy were responsive if we had needed help. We would definitely look to rent the house again

We loved this spacious home. Very clean and comfortable. The house is decorated very nicely. We especially loved the patio. We ate most all our meals out there. The neighborhood was very quiet. We wish we would've done this years ago! Great property and hosts!

This was our first foray into the vacation home rental and it could not have been better! The house itself was in pristine condition, beautifully appointed and lacking in nothing for creature comforts. Even little things like a coffee grinder and wine toppers. We had 4 adults and 4 children and it was enough space that we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Personally, I loved the front entry room and the oversize chair and ottoman. It was perfect for a little quiet time of reading and coffee drinking. Terry was more than a gracious host! Very accommodating, even providing some insider recommendations for dinner. He was very quick to respond to questions and lovely to talk to on the phone. They also have rental properties in Oregon. Since we were looking at heading there in 2018, those properties will be top of our list.

We purchased this home in 2009 to share with family, friends & others. We needed a warm place to come in from the Colorado snow or the Oregon rains. We Love Golfing, Fishing, Playing board games, relaxing by the Pool and meeting folks from all over the world.

Small growing community that has a lot to offer. You can fly on Allegiant Airlines for reasonable rates straight to Mesa Gateway. Johnson Ranch Community plans many events and activities where you can have fun and meet your neighbors. Allot of Sunshine and Spring Training Baseball! 15 professional teams are here during the months of March and April!

Nice Golf Courses within minutes, Pathway Parks for walking and riding bikes, 3 Community Pools & Spas.
