Our stay was incredible. The location couldn’t have been better and the house was absolutely perfect for my husband and I, and our dog. We would 100% stay here again in the future for a visit to Carolina Beach!
Great house! Location is central to CB goings-on and is so close to the beach itself. One bed is kind of hard, but other than that the accommodations are sufficient and beachy. Cute back deck and yard. Communication with the owners and manager of the property was easy with a quick response time. And they are just generally good people (met them outside of the rental experience). Nice for a stand-alone house that's affordable with no one walking over your head!
I lived in CB for many years, so I know the area, and this is within walking distance to food, entertainment, etc. while still being somewhat private. House was well taken care of.
Great little beach house for a small family or a few friends. Great hosts and they made sure everything was in great condition. Will have to make it a destination for next year
We were in town for a family wedding. We enjoyed having space to be together between events. The location was close to the boardwalk and the beach, so we could get our walks in. The cottage was clean, and the mattresses were very comfortable. Great experience
Location is close to everything you want to visit on CB. Bars, restaurants, the boardwalk, all of it. It is a very simple set up in the house but all you need if you plan to spend as much time outside as possible.
My husband, dog (Mia) and I moved out from AZ and needed somewhere to stay while looking to purchase a home. We were thrilled we were able to stay at Seadar Cottage............amazing location; we walk everywhere...to the beach, restaurants (pet friendly), stores, around the lake, just everywhere. It's in a quiet area, everything you would need in the cottage, and comfortable beds! Since we bought a house 5 minutes from here we won't be needing to stay here again, but for anyone who wants a terrific place to stay, we will happily tell them about it! The hosts were so attentive and helpful as well. Renee, Andy, & Mia Clark
From the checkin to checkout, a wonderful stay. We loved the updated look with a Mid-Centruy vibe. The beds were comfy. We had everything we needed in the kitchen. The fenced in yard was a plus for our dog. And the location can't be beat. We could walk to everything. The property manager was a delight to work with. Thank you for a wonderful trip. We'll be back.
Our stay at Seadar was better than we could have hoped for. The house is in a great location for walking to the beach, the boardwalk, and local restaurants. We appreciated the cleanliness of the cottage as well as the amenities. There were beach chairs, laundry, an outdoor shower to wash off our sandy feet, as well as kitchen appliances and fans in every bedroom. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking. We felt comfortable walking to/from area restaurants at night. Loved it!⛱
You’ll be hard pressed to find a beach house cuter or cleaner than this one! We loved the layout, the simplicity, the old floors and tasteful aesthetic. Our family of six (with four kids ages 10-16) felt like it was plenty roomy for us for four nights. Loved having the laundry room and outdoor shower to help keep clean from the beach. Really short walk to the beach and boardwalk. Nice, quiet neighborhood and an all around relaxing stay in an adorable house. One note: check in info comes the morning of, not several days before like Vrbo suggests. This gave me a little panic because I hadn’t received check in info and wasn’t hearing back about it, but once I called the manager we got that sorted out. (This info is listed on a Google doc you’ll submit, but I had no recollection of reading it when I booked.) Anyway, just don’t worry, everything will he taken care of, but the communication is very relaxed. The sweet memories our purple beach house will stay with us for years to come! Thank you!
This was our 4th CB vacay & first time at this rental - we very much will want to return to this adorable MCM cottage on our next visit to the area! Tastefully decorated MCM with a modern twist - we liked that there isn’t any kitschy clutter, but still maintains personality. The beds/furnishings are comfortable & the enclosed backyard was appropriate for our 2 small dogs. The outdoor shower & foot washing station is a huge plus (no spiders!). We enjoyed learning of this bungalow’s history from the owner & this cottage has a great vibe. Close enough to walk to everything CB has to offer, but set in a quiet area (able to sleep/nap comfortably). The keyless entry is fantastic - no keys to keep track of! Can’t say enough positive things - hopefully, it’ll continue to be a place that remains in our budget (clean, popular places in ideal locations rarely do these days, unfortunately). We appreciated your hospitality, thank you for sharing your cottage with us!
We stayed here for two nights (we booked it for three), but plans changed and we had to leave a day early. Communication with the host/manager was thorough from start to end.
The cottage is nice but could use some improvements. The location is fabulous and a quick walk to the boardwalk, restaurants, etc. The small fenced-in area for our little dog was perfect.
Cons: Cleanliness. The cottage was not the cleanest in multiple areas. There was a lot of black hair all over the shower on the inside. Dried yellow spots on the top of the toilet lid (pee). Hair on the pillows on the beds, nightstands, sheets, freezer, and couch. I do know this is a pet-friendly condo, however, it is uncomfortable to have pet hair from an unknown animal where you are supposed to sleep. The other part of the cleanliness is bugs. There were a lot of small bugs all throughout the condo. I took pictures and they appeared daily. Small gnat-like bugs flying and hanging out on the ceilings. Then there were bugs such as roly-poly crawling everywhere. They were on the backsplash of the kitchen, fridge, curtains in the bunkbed room, closet of the middle room...the bugs went on everywhere. We woke up to new bugs every day. Given the amount of the cleaning fee, the cottage should be clean. Zevo is highly recommended.
The other area that is notable is how uncomfortable the furniture was. The bed closest to the door is where we slept and we woke up in pain daily.
Keep this in mind if you choose to stay here.
Sweetest little beach cottage in the best location
The Seadar had everything we needed for our beach getaway. We were comfortable and in the perfect spot to walk to anything we wanted while at Carolina beach and just a short drive from anything we wanted to do in Wilmington. Definitely a good choice, glad I found it.
The property is an older model but the furnishings were up to date. We liked the backyard fence and green area for our dog..
It was nice to have televisions in the bedrooms. The beach and ice cream shop are not far away.
This very nicely updated beach cottage still provides some original charm! It is a quaint and cozy home to enjoy all of what Carolina Beach has to offer. We spent most of of days on the beach at Fort Fisher with many other friends staying in the area, but the beach is still walking distance from the home. We had the convenience to walk to restaurants and bars in the evening and enjoyed watching fireworks from the Fat Pelican with cold beers in hand! Look forward to staying again!!
House was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed. Excellent location, 3 blocks to beach and other attractions. Far enough off main street to be quiet. We would definitely stay again.
