Location, location, location!

Our family loved this home! It was perfect for our long weekend to explore the area and do some hiking at Grandfather Mountain. There were too many local restaurants in Banner Elk to try them all, but we enjoyed all three places we went to. The home is small, but the views are HUGE! And the natural light, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows made it feel like we had more than enough room. We didn’t cook in the home, but it seemed well-stocked with anything we could’ve needed. The hosts were quick to respond when I requested dining and hiking recommendations, and when we ran into a WiFi snag the first night (our mistake, not the hosts’), they sent a message with assistance within minutes. We will definitely stay at this home again the next time we’re in the area. 100% recommend!

Such a great place!

We had the best time and absolutely loved this precious house. It’s right in the middle of banner elk and so close to multiple restaurants, also right in between beech mountain and sugar mountain. Kyle and Ashley were so helpful with recommendations and always responded so quickly. We for sure want to come back! Couldn’t have asked for a better host!

Lovely stay at The Blue Elk

5 stars, hands down! This rental is a gem, with its perfect location and a clean airy atmosphere It was perfect for our family of 3. The Blue Elk would also be perfect for two couples traveling together as well, as it has 2 master bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The owners were great, and so responsive. We loved The Blue Elk for its location. We were able to visit town within a minute drive and get to Sugar and Beech mountain in 10 minutes or less as it’s right in the middle of both.The house itself is perfectly decorated, clean and functional with all kitchen/bathroom needs available. We can’t wait to visit again!

Blue Elk with a VIEW!

Cute house in private setting with a great view downtown Banner Elk as well as Sugar and Grandfather Mountains. Well appointed, super comfortable upper floor of an octagonal house on the side of a mountain. Loved our two night stay there!

Peaceful treetop view

We were super happy with our stay. Spent a week with my wife, brother, and sister in law. The place had everything we needed. We spent most our time exploring but it was nice to come back and chill out with the cool evenings and mornings looking out the windows over the trees. Each morning we had deer or wild turkeys walking through the yard. The hosts communicated well and were responsive.

One of our favorite vacation rentals ever -- stunning views from the wraparound deck, comfortable seating and beds, very clean, and all amenities included. The doe and twin fawns hanging out by the parking area were an added bonus. Our hosts were very responsive, we highly recommend this home.

A perfect getaway in downtown Banner Elk. The views were amazing and just a quick (although steep) walk to downtown. Nicely remodeled and comfortable with everything you need. We'd stay again!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying at this Vrbo in Banner Elk over the 4th of July! The property was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly situated for all our adventures. The proximity to various hiking trails allowed us to explore the stunning natural surroundings every day. We particularly enjoyed the hikes with breathtaking views and serene forest paths. The highlight of our trip was watching the 4th of July fireworks from the top of Sugar Mountain. It was a truly special and unforgettable experience, with the panoramic views and vibrant fireworks display creating magical memories for my partner and I. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The host was incredibly accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and adventure-filled vacation in Banner Elk! Thank you for an unforgettable stay

I cannot recommend this place enough! Everything was perfect. The location was amazing and so was the view! You can sit out on the porch and listen to live music coming from downtown and relax by looking at the gorgeous Mountain View. Our kids also loved it! We made friends with a couple of deer and a sweet little kitty while we were there. It was the perfect distance from everything like food, shopping and attractions. Such a peaceful getaway!
