Spectacular ocean front views! You can't get any closer to the beach than this classic ocean front Cannon Beach home. Absolutely the best location in Cannon Beach. Enjoy the rustic charm of this classic home located on the beach in mid town just steps to many of the great Cannon Beach restaurants, shops, and pubs. Short walk to Haystack Rock and downtown Cannon Beach. Original Knotty Pine and Cedar throughout the home. Recent upgrades include refinished hardwood and new tile flooring, new Pottery Barn furniture, new kitchen and bathroom quartz counter tops, new stainless steel appliances with double oven, new windows, new heaters and electrical, and new siding. Generous space with 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Ocean front and beach front views from most of the rooms in the house. Enjoy storm watching and sunny days while sitting in front of a crackling fire in the river rock fireplace or in the ocean front sun room. Well equipped kitchen with all the amenities you will need. Huge patio overlooking the beach and ocean for enjoying the spectacular views, relaxing in the sun, barbecues , or people watching. Please note that the master bathroom has a bathtub only with a shower wand for rinsing off and does not have a full stand up shower. It's a little rough around the edges but you won't find a more charming, comfortable, and spacious family home anywhere in Cannon Beach. It is perfectly located. My dad is 88 and walking on the beach is no longer an option for him, but to be able to sit in the sunroom that overlooks the beach was perfect for him. It's a warm and cozy home with plenty of space for a large family. The kitchen was well stocked; just bring your food.Would be a great location if you had littles as well. The access to the beach being straight out the door

Beautiful Romantic stay. House is more likely booked by families , but we wanted to have direct beach access and views. Enjoyed the fireplace and easy walk to town.

Location and view is fantastic … does need quite of bit of updating if even just little things like new small throw rugs for bathrooms and fireplace and an overall deep cleaning. Layout is a bit funky but creates enough separation of rooms and bathrooms for multiple families to share.

Beautiful spot....that's about all I can say.
Beachfront property! Too bad that the windows were so filthy that you couldn't see out...really. The place was very dirty. The place was very large and cut up into many spaces with light switches that were turning on lights in odd places. Too bad..it has alot of potential.

We have friends in Cannon Beach and have been there many times. Our oldest daughter got engaged in front of Haystack. It is their second anniversary so we decided to splurge and rent on the beach. Loved having Haystack right outside the window. The property could use a little TLC but we enjoyed the property. The property manager was very responsive to our needs.

We stayed here for the Sandcastle Contest and family gathering. The kind of place that makes you want load up and move to Oregon (No auto-correct, not Oregano). Great location, decently appointed, pretty clean. Yes, I'd stay here again.

Great family venue— especially for younger children’s access to beach and sandy front yard. Older home, with well-kept home with cozy touches. Views of ocean are wonderful from dining room, master bedroom and a sitting area. We walked to Pelican Brewery and Wayfarer Restaurant for really good food.

You can't get any closer to haystack rock from this home. Was great to sit and stare from the sunroom and back patio. The house is showing some age and the cleaning crew could do a better job (dust and dog fur on the floor in places, someone else's socks left). House is walkable to everything in CB

Great Location
If you want to stay on the beach, you can’t beat this location. Many beachfront locations have dunes in front of them or you have to walk down a bunch of stairs, but at Haystack House you step off the porch onto the sand. It’s right by pelican brewing and an easy 10 minute walk into town. Be warned, it’s not super private. It’s right on a beach access trail so people are walking by all the time. That was t an issue for us, but might be for some people.

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased this wonderful 1940's ocean front home from the original owner in the late 1960's and has now been passed down to the second generation. We purchased it because of of the spectacular location, the incredible views, the generous space needed for a large family, and the unique charm of the house. It is truly a real "Beach House" and not a "poseur" like many of the homes that are now built in Cannon Beach. It will soon be passed down to the the third generation and we hope that it will continue to remain in our family for many years to come.
