We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. Gary is a great host and very good with communication. The house was clean. We enjoyed the peace and quiet of the location. We were able to travel short distances to the things we want to do while we were in the area.
A great vacation home conveniently located near Sleeping Bear lakeshore. Gary was a wonderful host and good communicator. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening bonfires and the spectacular stargazing.
Gary was very helpful and kind. Im not much for computers so we communicated through text and a phone call. He had the place ready for us earlier than check in and let us know in advance. Very quit, peacful setting, not that the photos are'nt good but the cottage looks even better in person. Nothing was broken or in poor condition, we enjoyed our stay. Thanks Gary!
We loved this house. It had space for us and our family, and all the amenities we could need for cooking our own meals with a well stocked kitchen. Gary is a fantastic host. He is very attentive and communicative. We couldn't have asked for anything more!
The house was very comfortable and well kept. Fantastic location. Just a short hop, skip, and a jump to some of the best beaches in the world. The walking trails on site are super, too. We could not have asked for more!
We had an amazing stay at this property, Everything you need and more. it is in a great location with lots to do. The owners do a great job keeping the property neat and clean with well stocked extras. We are looking forward to our next visit.
This property was very clean and well stocked. It was a cozy place with a nice yard. It was close to everything we wanted to do, including Sleeping Bear Dunes and Crystal Lake. I would stay here again.
This house was perfect for enjoying Sleeping Bear lakeshore and surrounding area. We had all the activities close by and had the wooded, private property. We enjoyed biking, hiking, a Lake Michigan beach, and shopping small towns.
This is a darling house. It has all the amenities needed for a great stay. It’s super close to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Our family had a great time at the park, then come back to a wonderful place where they could spread out and rest from all the climbing. I would stay again in a heartbeat. Additionally, Gary the owner was very helpful and responsive. Excellent stay!
Perfect spot to stay near empire and all the great places to explore. The place was comfortable with everything we needed. We made use of the travel guides and maps provided. Gary promptly answered all my questions.
We loved everything about this house. The location is excellent for either the dunes or Traverse City and everything in between. The house itself felt new and clean. This is one of our favorite places we've stayed in! Gary is a fantastic host.
We really enjoyed our stay. The home had everything we needed and was conveniently located to the Sleeping Bear sand dunes. We especially enjoyed the peaceful mornings!
We used this secluded home as our home base to explore the towns of Empire, Glen Arbor and Frankfort. Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park is only a 10 min drive. Gorgeous part of the USA!
The home was perfect for us (2 adults, 1 12yo child).
The beds slept fantastic!
Kitchen had all we needed.
Enjoyed coffee on the deck listening to the birds and watching the squirrels search for treats.
We enjoyed the board game selection.
Loved the on-site hike through the woods.
Had AC avail but didn’t even use it. We opened the windows and enjoyed the cooler breezes that we aren’t used to bc we live in the hot & humid south.
The only recommendation I can think of that would be a nice addition/bonus is adding a cooler, 2 beach chairs and a beach umbrella for tenants use.
We drove this trip and were able to bring ours with us. However the next visit we will likely fly and won’t be able to bring them so having those items avail would be great for visitors who plan to spend time on the beautiful beaches!
Thanks, Gary, for allowing us to use your home!
Loved this house for our family of six. The interior is all updated with new woodwork and flooring. Beds were comfortable. The outside is the perfect setting for evening campfires. Gary was so helpful. Would stay here again.
We came to visit the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. We brought bikes with us and enjoyed several wonderful days. The cabin is spacious, well-maintained and very comfortable for a family of 4. It is attractive and quiet, a bit off the beaten path but central to the three main park areas. It has a lovely hike on the property.
Property was well cared for. The owner was very responsive and helpful. It was the annual fishing trip for my sons and me. This place was perfect for our needs, very clean, and in a beautiful area.
House was very clean and well-maintained, and contained everything needed for an enjoyable stay. Property manager was also very responsive. There is a beautiful trail through the woods on the property in back of the house. Centrally located in an area which allows for day trips to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, attractions in the Leelanau Peninsula, etc. Would definitely select this house again when in the area and also recommend it to others!

Enjoyed our stay at this house. It is very clean and in a beautiful location. We will definitely stay again.
We found that this property had everything we needed and was conveniently located to enjoy the Sleeping Bear park area. My wife and daughter were completely satisfied with the accommodations. We did some hiking the first day on the owners large property and enjoyed the woods without driving anywhere. Overall, we had a great time in the area and want to return next year.
