We wish we could have stayed longer! A perfect camp with beautiful views. Loved enjoying the sunrise with coffee outside with the loons and mallards. Lake was easily accessible and plenty of water fun amenities! Shopping and groceries/food close by! Discovered Jamo's Pizza and it's amazing. Absolutely loved it! Ty Kahla for being such a wonderful host!!
Amazing home with perfect location right on the lake! Close to town, but so peaceful, quiet and relaxing! To wake up to sunrise every morning with coffee and your favorite book was just what we needed. Not to mention the incredible views (from inside and out), fishing from own dock, swimming and great fire pit which we cooked dinner on.
The train was an added plus for us because my husband is a railfan! It only comes through once/twice a day. We felt right at home. Comfortable, clean and everything we needed.
Thank you to the host and can’t wait to come back!
Nice, clean lodging. Accurate online description. Just five minutes from town and right on the lake. A beautiful getaway. My partner, his son and their friends had a great time and caught everything from Togue to Brook Trout. Would definitely stay here again!
The Railway Camp is the perfect property on Moosehead Lake. The view was absolutely incredible!! The home was very comfortable, clean, and had all we needed for a short stay. Kahla was very responsive before, during and after our stay. This is a 5-star camp! We hope to enjoy another visit to this property.
This house had all we were looking for. Quiet and right on the lake. To sit in the chairs in the morning and enjoy the sun on the lake, the feed the ducks.. to enjoy out time on the lake. It was great.
We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was so relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the lake views. The furniture and beds were both very comfortable at this property. The location was great, being just a few minutes out of town, and being close to many hiking trails. We did a moose tour while in town, and also hiked at Mount Kineo.
Great location, right at the lake. Fully equipped kitchen, gas grill for outdoor cooking, fire pit, kayak, paddle board. Next to train tracks but no problem with noise, once per day only. Would recommend the place for sure. Visit Koladjo and Rockwood/ ferry to Mount Kineo park.
What a beautiful location!! Your house was clean from top to bottom, had everything we needed and more for the weekend. We loved sitting out on the dock and watching the boats and seaplanes pass by during the day, and sitting by the campfire and listening to the peepers and loon in the evening. Very close to town, but in such a peaceful location! The train went through twice a day, but was no disruption to us at all. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We would love to book in the future!
We booked a last minute snowmobiling trip with a couple friends and this was a great house for it! We left directly from the house on sleds and hit the trails. The host was so helpful and quickly responded to every message I had. I would highly recommend staying here. The house was clean and cozy. It is close to the train tracks, the train only went by once a day for a few minutes and was neat to watch.
It was great, the place was beautiful, right by the lake was beautiful.
We really enjoyed ourselves and would love to stay again. The only thing is the train that went by at 11 to 12 pm was extremely loud and shook the whole place but we were only there one night unfortunately and didn't get to stay a long time because we were vendors at the fly buy craft fair at the Fly in, but we did have a wonderful time and Kahla provided everything. It was great!
Awesome cottage, excellent location, all the amenities of home and then some!
Cottage was very clean, comfy bed, fireplace, communication very prompt, location AAA+, All the amenities of home including water, snacks, area information booklet, trust me Kahla left out NOTHING! THANK YOU SO MUCH! We will be back (-;
Our stay at this location was one of our best! We played cornhole, sat by the beautiful lake, cooked our dinner on the open fire and sat at the kitchen table and caught up on old times. The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was prepared for our every need.
Thank You for a wonderful place to stay.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 4 nights and 5 days, and we wish we could have stayed longer! This spot was absolutely beautiful and accommodating. A kayak and paddle board along with life jackets were available for use and definitely came in handy! We used the fire pit 1 night and made s’mores while we star gazed, it was beautiful. The train came by once or twice a day and was very cool to watch. Only once did it come by at 1:00 am so I would just be aware if you have any light sleepers/children/animals who don’t like loud noises. We enjoyed watching it though! 10/10 for us, and we will definitely be back next year!
We had a great stay here in July 2022. It is directly on the water at Harfords Point. The water access was easy to get in and out whether we were swimming or kayak/paddleboarding. The fire-it was great and we were happy to find a picnic table next to it. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and just relaxing. We thought the train was cool and it didn't bother us. The camp was clean and comfortable. We found most of the kitchen gadgets and whatnot that we would expect at a camp rental. It is close to town which was nice for pizza night at the Farm @ Moosehead! I recommend this camp and we would stay here again.
