Cabin was cute, but property was right along side a busy road, lots of noise from big trucks. The funton was uncomfortable and hard to sit on for long. Then we went to bed. Good lord, the beds were very hard, and extremely uncomfortable, we ended up on the futon but no sleep because it was awful too. So we decided to stay in a comfort in in Beckley the second night so we could rest comfortably. I will say that we are in our 50s with arthritis, maybe younger people cuold stand the beds.
The cabin was very clean and had a great location . We only stayed one night while touring hawks nest. Close to everything. I would recommend bringing your own bed pillows but I’m picky with a pillow. Otherwise the cabin has everything you need.
The cabin was located right off the main road of the local area. The cabin is on a lot with 2 other cabins. The cabin was a little too small for me, but my wife loved it. There were a few things that were broken, but the manager was attentive when made aware. There was a family of deer that we saw every morning and other than the cars going by, it was quiet and peaceful.
Perfect place to sleep for a couple or small family. Close to sites and activities in the area. Overall a very clean, safe, and comfortable place to stay in a beautiful part of West Virginia.

Fine if you just need a place to sleep
I wouldn't recommend this place to someone who wants to cook meals. It's fine for only sleeping there. The kitchen is very small and is missing many essentials. There were no brillo pads, not enough kitchen towels, the sink is uncomfortable to use, in a weird location, and only one basin holds water, there is very little counter space, a very small uncomfortable table, no potato peeler, no pot holders, no sugar or coffee creamer, and low quality dishes and knives. The living room couch has no pillows, the living room has no lamp, the AC unit in the loft is loud, dated, and doesn't work well, the porch light was too dim to see by, the pillows were very flat. The bathroom shower head is very short. There is a detachable shower head which helps. I don't recommend for tall people because the ceiling is very short. The cabin is also next to a busy road that was pretty loud during the day. We did enjoy the porch swing, easy check in, and the leather futon.

1st Off Makenzie was great to work with, always quick to respond to questions. Cabin was clean and it is on route 60. A little hard to spot while going down the road. Try to get there before it’s dark and unpack hard to see from car to cabin door. Definitely would stay again, good location.
We really enjoyed staying at Peaceful Pines . Everything was great as it was on our last trip. We liked watching the momma deer and her triplets and the turkey. We're planning next year's trip . See ya next summer.
My family and I adore this cozy cabin. The description and picture are true to form. It was exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed campfires in the evenings and the convenience of Hawk's Nest State Park (just a stone's throw away) and New River Gorge National Park (a short drive). If we visit this area in the future we will be sure to stay here again.
We were so thrilled with our space. We were close to everything and still so wonderfully away from everything. The cabin was CLEAN! Not even a spider web. The host communicates very well. Check in and out is flawless and we were so very happy to have found this place. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful visit!
A nice little cabin just a short distance away from beautiful views at Hawk’s nest state park and nearby New River. Was a quiet place to get away for the weekend and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Fantastic place if you’re looking to get away with the family for nature activity. Very friendly old town.
As late arrivals we had a hard time finding the entrance as well as the cabin because it’s was COMPLETELY DARK. There are no signs or lights at the turn off, no lights on at the cabin such as a porch light. But the cabin was clean and stocked.
Property was clean and well kept. Drive to the New River Gorge NP was short. Many great attractions were very accessable including Babcock and Hawks Nest State Parks. One suggestion would be to decouple the living room fan and light. It would be wonderful to be able to turn off fan and the light still on.
Just my husband and me. Adorable house. Met all our needs. Close to a town that was having a festival with fireworks. Also very close to curvy roads, waterfalls along the road. A 2 mile old train track path along the water with many waterfalls. Close to lake where we went kayaking. It was one win after another.
One little space heater for whole cabin. Other forms of heat did not work. If microwave used while space heater plugged in it tripped breaker. Cabin itself was clean, rustic. Road traffic can be heard in cabin. If you live in the city that will not bother you.
Very clean property, everything was perfect. All appliances worked fine and place was very tidy. Really enjoyed our stay and our host was very responsive with our every request.
Property is in a good location, everything is exactly as advertised. A few things to consider is that the shower is quite small, and there is not a dining table for food/board games so bring a folding table if necessary. Otherwise a nice spot.
