Situated at 3,200 feet in a charming mountain town, this home offers a private retreat with spectacular views. Soak in the scenery while you kick back on the spacious, partially covered deck directly off the living area. Breathe in the fresh mountain air while you sizzle recipes on the gas grill and dine alfresco at the four-person table. After you eat, stretch out in the screened patio's hammock with a good book or cozy up by the firepit and swap stories as the stars come out.

After a day of hiking or skiing nearby trails, put your feet up in the main living area and bask in the glow of the stone fireplace. Prepare family-style meals in the well-equipped kitchen, then gather at the four-person dining table. In the evenings, settle into the additional living area with the family dogs and stream a movie on the smart TV. Front-wheel drive is required to access this home.

Peaceful cabin
Lovely cabin in a rural location. Fantastic views and very peaceful. Lovely gas fires kept us toasty warm. Lots of kitchen equipment and the house was beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Beautiful Location
This house and the location were great. We will definitely come back to this house. But be warned, the driveway is steep and tough to get up after it rains. 4 wheel drive would be the safest bet.

Staying for the view
This location is so beautiful. The view from the deck is unparalleled. Great base camp to set up at for exploring the area (Blue Ridge Parkway, Smokey Mountain National Park etc.) The thing you have to understand is this property is a serious compromise. If you need everything to be shiny and new and perfect, this is not your place. If you have never been camping, this is not your place. On the other hand, if you can handle sheets that make burlap feel like Egyptian cotton and decor that is kooky and a bit weird this place may be for you. It certainly could have been better cleaned/kept. But we didn't hear a car/person/airplane for 6 straight days. I loved every minute of our time here. Just bring your own sheets.

extremely quiet
The house is surrounded by mountains with very few houses or people in site. The views and forest odors were wonderful. The house is well cared for but visitors could use a page of written instructions including how & which remote operate the TV, What needs to be done to close the house when leaving, Be sure to bring ALL codiments you might use including salt & pepper( we left some for the next guests) It's a very relaxing place to stay.

Beautiful View
We stayed here for a few days, but I wish we stated longer! The view was amazing and the porch had many spaces to sit and relax. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking in. Lots of windows overlooking the mountains. It also felt pretty secluded (couldn't see the neighbors), which was nice. It was still pretty close to town and to WCU (we came up for family weekend). There were a number of bored games and puzzles that we didn't end up using but would be great for a rainy day. I would be careful staying here if you have young kids because the heater has exposed flames (very easy to touch). It wasn't hard to keep our baby away from it, and you can shut the door to the one living room, but if you have toddlers or slightly older kids who like exploring, keep an eye on them. They also have space heaters to use, but we didn't end up needing them.

The View and at home on Cloud 9
The view was spectacular from this home. We felt like we were on top of cloud 9 for the 6 days we spent at this home. Every day the view was a different scenery. You got a different view from Heavens Top. The home was cozy and a laid back homestyle comfort. The fireplace was a bonus! The side screened porch with the hammock was a great hideaway for a afternoon nap. The Peaceful Mtn View was everything we were looking for, as it lived up to it's name. The home itself had everything you needed.

I heard banjos…
A great place to stay if you want to get away from the hustle. Take it slow when entering the property to get used to the driveway, but after a few trips, it gets easy. The view is awesome, but it’s a south facing view so there’s not much in way if sunrises/sunsets. But a great view of the Smokies! This place would be amazing in the fall! Hopefully they upgrade the beds soon. Otherwise, It’s a really cool rustic home on the side of a mountain, with a well equipped kitchen.

Great stay; poor communication
What a wonderful home and many, many thanks to the property owners who choose to share it. Beautiful location, beautiful view, private, very roomy, lots of windows and screened doors to constant fresh air. 15 min from Sylva & Dillsboro. It was wonderful. Communications with Vacasa were horrid.
