About this property

Sifno's little cheerful house

Beneath terraced hills descending to one of the most beautiful bays of the Cycladic islands, this traditional stone cottage has a unique view of the Aegean Sea and some of its islands. The small cottage is very spacious, fully equipped, and has 2 shaded verandas to dine and relax. The small house is dominated by a large main area, which features a dining area, a sitting area (which gives enough sleep for a further 3 people) and a small (but fine) kitchen. A wooden staircase leads to the separate and romantic double bedroom, which is, as well as the whole house - air-conditioned. From the window there are, as otherwise all around, wonderful views of the sea and the green hills.
OR - ALTERNATIVELY - at our other house on the opposite side of our garden - 2 separate bedrooms - at the daily rate of 120 € !! PLEASE ASK !!

Logement sympa, très bien placé

Nous avons passé un séjour de deux semaines plaisant dans cette location. La maison est bien située dans l'île de Sifnos, proche des plages, des restaurants, des commerces (avec un véhicule) et des randonnées. La maison est un peu rustique mais très sympa à vivre. C'est une maison tranquille entourée d'un beau jardin avec une jolie vue sur la nature et la mer.

Ein tolles Häuschen

Wir haben 1 Woche hier verbracht und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das traditionelle Haus ist entzückend, noch schöner als die Fotos. Es ist großzügig, bei schlechtem Wetter können sich 2 Leute auch sehr gut drinnen aufhalten. Das Schlafzimmer oben ist sehr hübsch, allerdings Grossgewachsene müssen den Kopf einziehen, die Matratze ist sehr groß und fest. An den Fenstern und Türen sind Mückennetze, die Küche ist mit allem Notwendigen ausgestattet, auch Zucker, Gewürze u.ä. Die zwei Terrassen bieten bei jeder Windrichtung genug Platz. Alles war supersauber. Die Lage ist sehr verkehrsgünstig, man ist schnell in Apollonia und schnell an unserem Lieblingsstrand Chrissopigi. Allerdings hört man auch die Autos. Der Blick ist wirklich phantastisch. Im Untergeschoss waren erst noch Leute, danach waren wir ganz allein. Es gibt Klimaanlagen (haben wir nicht gebraucht) und bei Bedarf eine Waschmaschine. Das wlan ist etwas schwach, aber der mobil-Empfang ist gut. Die Kommunikation mit Judith war schnell und sehr freundlich, vielen Dank für den schönen Aufenthalt!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour!C’est exactement ce que nous cherchions avec 3 enfants...!

Une chouette maison avec un extérieur fermé lorsque le plus petit fait la sieste! Terrasse avec vue Magnifique! Enfin, Judith, notre hôte très attentive et bienveillante pour que tout se passe au mieux! A refaire Sans problème!

Perfect place

The house of Judith and Israel is located in an amazing place on the hills of Sifnos. The terrace has one of the best views of the whole island, looking at the Chrisopigi Monastery, a stunning byzantine complex built on a rock and sorrounded by the sea. The house, the garden and the surroundings are great, and the location is perfect to visit the island. Unforgettable experience!

Cozy greek cottage in the hills over looking the sea.

A sweet greek cottage with a great view of the sea. Very cozy and serene which gave a sense of traditional Greek island life. Landscaping was beautiful with flowers, fruit trees, vegetables and herbs all blended on the terraced property. Our host Judith was a joy and made us feel very welcome. Would absolutely return to this house on this wonderful island.

une semaine très relaxante et contemplative dans une jolie maison perchée à flanc de colline

Judith nous a accueillis très chaleureusement comme si nous étions des amis en visite, et son mari Israël nous a fait visiter la maison. C’est une très jolie maison traditionnelle construite sur deux niveaux et entourée d’un jardin très fleuri. Il y a même un petit potager avec des herbes aromatiques et un citronnier. Quel plaisir d’étendre le linge sous le bougainvillier ! L’atout de la maison est assurément la vue hypnotisante sur la mer et les cultures en terrasses des collines alentour. A tel point que nous avions parfois du mal à nous persuader d’aller explorer Sifnos. Tout est fait pour se reposer : matelas ferme de bonne qualité et sofas à l’intérieur, bancs en pierre et transats dur la terrasse. Le matin nous étions réveillés par le chant des oiseaux et quelques bêlements de chèvres, ce qui est très dépaysant. En mai, il n’y a pas de moustiques, le soleil tape déjà fort et inonde la partie découverte de la terrasse jusqu’en début d’après-midi avec toujours une petite brise. Divin ! Nous avons choisi cette maison pour être à l’écart de la petite station balnéaire de Platys Gialos tout en étant à 10 mn en voiture de la mer (Faros) et des commerces d’Apollonia et Artemonas. C’était assurément un très bon choix.

Superbe séjour à Sifnos

La maison est typique, très agréable et spacieuse. La terrasse offre une vue incroyable sur les alentours et surtout la mer en contre-bas et les îles environnantes. Sifnos est une île superbe pour les randonnées, la mer et la gastronomie. Nous avons été très bien accueillis (Judith avait tout bien préparé). A recommander les yeux fermés !
