Gold Hill and Rogue River are historic gold rush towns along the Rogue River. Enjoy rugged Oregon scenery along the old highway.
Enjoy Del Rio Vineyards, Rogue River Rafting excursions and an abundance of hiking trails.
Guests have full property to themselves. The nearest neighbor is about 100 Ft away. The side yard is gated and the whole place feels quiet, private, and secluded. There is plenty of parking in the paved driveway.
You will have the entire cottage to your self.
This is an older home and only a few things have been remodeled. It is a great budget stay to sleep a large family and is very spacious. There is a mini split system for heating and air but it doesn't always reach the bedrooms well. Fans and heaters are provided for additional comfort.
The Pacific Northwest has seasonal Box Elder bugs. They like the maple trees and are very hard to prevent. They are completely harmless but can be annoying in the outside areas. We have pest control come often and trim the trees where we can. It is just part part of being in nature near the river.
Car is needed for transportation.

Nice views and well fitted and stocked with everything we needed. We booked this for a short stop over on our way up I5 but it’s such a nice cottage and there appears to so many fun things to explore in the area, I’d like to come back and spend more time here. There was a little trouble getting access since we never received the email with the door code but management responded quickly to my message so it really wasn’t an issue.
Enjoy our stay a little disappointed there was dog poop everywhere in the yard someone left behind, the patio and porch we had to clean. and then we went to cook with the grill and it was really dirty so we cleaned that we pulled plates tfrom the cupboard and they were full of water, and my husband got water all over them enjoyed our stay but a little disappointed
Great house overlooking the river with private area. Very comfortable furniture and parking directly in front of the entry door. We really liked the big kitchen counter table to gather around with family.
The place was outstanding...only complaint would be the mattress on the hideaway bed /couch. It was terrible but other than that I would deffinately stay there again. Great location!!!
Unit was super clean and I loved the deck overlooking the Rogue. We were a little confused at checkin (Went to the neighbors looking for the correct house), but the neighbor was super helpful.
Very convienient location.
My 3 teenage children along with my husband and I stayed one night as a stop over so we could visit Crater Lake National Park. This is a cute little property with enough room for all of us. We did not utilize the kitchen at all as we basically just slept there, showered and left for the park, but the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the view from the back deck overlooking the river was beautiful! Two things that you should know is that the shower is a little low on the wall and makes it a bit of a task to shower for a tall or older person. Also, this property is rural and not within walking distance to any stores or restaurants. We were more than able to work with those two issues. I would recommend this property wholeheartedly.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Internet did not work
Hard to find and it is in an RV campground. Property lies adjacent to a very busy road so road noise at night. NO WORKING INTERNET. Beds were not comfortable and the configuration is hard for adults.
Very well equipped house in a beautiful spot on the Rogue
My husband, 14-year old daughter and our small dog stayed here for a few nights to explore the area. We liked the central location between Grants Pass and Ashland, but it is not near many services, restaurants, etc. if that is what you are looking for.
Pluses: right on the river, although you can't get down to the river as there's a drop off; lovely deck and fenced outdoor area for the dog; very private and away from other houses which we liked with parking right in front; very comfortable house with good beds, well equipped kitchen with big island, smart TV, washer/dryer, and very cute decor. They did a good job with the renovation.
There were a couple minuses in case these things are important to you. The house is very close to the highway so you can hear the freeway noise when you are sitting outside. A/C is a mini split in the living room which is great, but neither bedroom has A/C and the cool air didn't flow too well into these rooms. The bedroom with the queen bed has a small window which didn't provide much of a breeze at night but having it open helped. The back bedroom on the river with the two twin beds got pretty hot, and although it has a large window, unfortunately, there was no screen. A window screen would make this bedroom so much better to get breezes from the river at night.
The host was also very responsive through the app which is always appreciated. Overall, this house was a great value and we'd stay here again!
