Nestled along the shoreline of Howe Sound, only 25 minutes from downtown Vancouver and 1 hour from Whistler, is the picturesque seaside village of Lions Bay.

Since 2010, our guests from around the world return year after year and this can be your home away from home. Away from the bustling city, yet close enough to enjoy it’s amenities, you’ll experience a West Coast lifestyle where eagles, orca whales, sea lions and dolphins calls home.

Beyond the doors of your private entrance located on the lower level of a new semi-waterfront luxury home, is a 1000 square foot ocean-view guest suite. With two luxurious queen bedrooms and a pullout single bed our suite can accommodate up to 4 guests in privacy and comfort.

With a fully equipped granite galley kitchen, top of the line stainless steel appliances, home theater, luxury bath, in-suite washer/dryer and an electric fireplace, this 4 star accommodation is the perfect location to celebrate special occasions, vacation getaways, long term executive stays or fashion and wedding photo-shoots. Our sunset gazebo is where some guests have chosen to make surprise proposals and even wedding vows.

On your private 200 square foot deck, gaze at the 180 degree ocean view as you sip your morning coffee or lounge with a good book. At Lions Bay Beach and Marina you can launch a boat, ocean-kayak, swim or work on your tan.

You can play 18 holes at the spectacular Furry Creek Golf and Country Club, ride the Sea to Sky gondola up the famous Squamish Chief, Shannon Falls or ski at Cypress Mountain, all 20 minutes away.

For world class skiing, Whistler, home to the 2010 Olympics is only an hour away. At nearby Horseshoe Bay, you can join a fishing charter, an Eco-ocean tour or rent a boat to discover local islands at your pace and bring your catch home to grill on the deck. Eateries are plentiful with a dozen restaurants and bars between quaint gift shops.

Lions Bay has many hiking trails for the novice to experts who come to climb the famous 'Lions' a pair of 2000 foot high twin peaks overlooking Howe Sound giving Lion's Bay it's namesake.

In the evening, fire up the barbecue, uncork a bottle of wine and dine al-fresco on your private deck as cruise ships sail by. Amazing

This was the perfect place to stay outside of the city, but close enough to it, that we could easily travel in for the day. The home is just beautiful, inside and out. And the view of the ocean is amazing from the rooms and from the hot tub. Liz is hands down the best host we’ve ever had. An amazing lady who went out of her way to make sure we were happy with all aspects of our stay. Thank you Liz. God bless.

Magnificent view and fabulous accomodation!

Hubby and I stayed at Liz's suite and thoroughly enjoyed a nice, quiet weekend away. The listing is just as described and very beautiful. Waking up to the breataking view was such a great way to start the day. Liz was a very warm and welcoming host and was patient with my VRBO app/communication challenges. Would love to stay again and would thoroughly recommend!

Can’t wait to return!

My husband and I had an incredible stay. The location is perfection, whether you want adventures in Squamish or relaxation with a beautiful view. The house is stocked with all the amenities, anything and everything you would need for a stay. And Liz is far and away the BEST host we have ever met! We are already planning another trip to Lion’s Bay in the fall!

Unique and beautiful

We stay at VRBO rentals often and this is the best one we have encountered. Astoundingly beautiful view, private, comfortable, perfectly clean and well stocked. Sparkling clean hot tub. Fantastic TV/large video screen set up, teenagers loved it. Liz is extremely welcoming and helpful, thank you!

Stunning views from beautiful accommodation

Until you see the views from this property, it's impossible to visualise just how jaw dropping they are. Everything we needed was at the property, it was comfortable, very clean and Liz was a lovely host. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay, it's no surprise she has so many return visitors. To sum up: lovely accommodation, stunning views and a fab host.

Family summer vacation

Liz and John were very gracious hosts and made everything so easy. The rental was just as described and met our needs perfectly for our family of four. The views were spectacular every day and evening. The location was excellent - close to downtown Vancouver and even Whistler (car rental is a must). We will hopefully be back again!

Great View and Central Location

The property was very clean with great instructions. The photos do not do the view justice. Liz was a great host and very friendly. We loved the central location. An easy drive up to Squamish or into Vancouver. There was highway noise and lots of steps to get to the property. Neither of these things were dealbreakers for us. Highly recommend.

Amazing

Birthday celebration

The property is lovely and Liz was a wonderful host. The view never gets old!! The suite was very clean and had everything we needed. We found plenty of hikes/activities within striking distance. The BBQ worked well as did the hot tub! Highly recommend.

Amazing view

We had the best time at Liz & John’s place. The views are incredible and they went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable and comfortable. Everything was clean and incredibly organized. Liz even created a binder full of useful tourism information. We will be back!

Relaxing and comfortable

The pictures of this unit are very accurate. The view from this place is spectacular and the unit is very spacious, high end, with everything you need. The bed is comfy too! An equally valuable feature was the hospitality shown to us by Liz and Jon. We really appreciated their help in unloading and loading our bags plus their check-ins and attentiveness. We stayed at their place during a stressful time in our lives, as our own home was undergoing water damage repairs and we were navigating a brutal insurance claim. Liz and Jon were so supportive. They invited us for a drink on their deck, and listened intently as we told our story. They are warm, friendly, and kind. This combination of an amazing place, phenomenal view, and gracious hosts was very special, and we highly recommend staying at their place!

Lovely & well-equipped

We had an incredible experience. Liz was a phenomenal host, very attentive when needed. The property was very well-thought out and had everything you’d need plus some. The views couldn’t have been better. It was quiet, private and with our two littles, sound proof! We were able to put the kids to bed and enjoy the deck, gazebo and hot tub (she even had a baby monitor we were able to use!). The only thing that we weren’t expecting was how many stairs there were to navigate. The driveway is so steep it’s a bit rough getting kids up and down all the stairs so wanted to note. Liz helped with our luggage and such but the daily up and down would be tough for anyone with limited mobility. That said, we would definitely stay here again, great location. Thanks for a wonderful stay Liz!

Best stay ever!!

My boyfriend and I had the best time in Lions Bay and loved coming back to this place after a big day of hiking. The views are even better in person and the hot tub was such a treat to have. The location is close to everything you need - both city and mountains are less than 30 minutes away. Would absolutely recommend!!!!

Home away from home

The hosts were wonderful, warm and welcoming. They were very responsive before renting and were available during the rental. Every effort was made to make us feel at home and to know and explore our surroundings immediately. The home was immaculate and beautiful, the view was magnificent and everything was beyond comfortable. We hope to return!

Beautiful view and amazing hosts

My boyfriend and I stayed for a week here and had the most wonderful time. We enjoyed this house so much. Not only were the views AMAZING, but the host was also so great.
