Relax and unwind at this cozy chalet-style home, just 3 miles from both Higgins and Houghton Lakes!
Nestled in a peaceful wooded neighborhood, this spacious 2,100+ square foot home offers the perfect getaway for families and friends. With 3 bedrooms, a sleeping loft, and 3 full bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for up to 10 guests. Two separate living areas provide ample space to relax, and Smart TVs in both the living and family rooms allow you to stream your favorite shows.
The well-equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing meals, and the dining room comfortably seats 10, with extra chairs and table extensions available. Stay comfortable year-round with central air, forced heat, and an additional wall A/C unit upstairs. A washer and dryer are also available for your convenience.
Step outside to enjoy the hot tub (ideal for 5-6 guests), fire pit, front deck with seating, and a seasonal koi pond (covered in the Fall). The large driveway provides parking for up to 6 total vehicles or toy trailers depending on size (please note, no campers due to township regulations). A gas grill is also provided for outdoor meals.

My husband and I bought this property as our dream "up-north" getaway and we couldn't be happier with our decision. Higgins Lake is one of our favorite places in the world, so the location couldn't get much better! This area of Michigan has so much to offer in every season, and it's a breath of fresh air to step away from the normal stresses and obligations of home life. We enjoy every day at Great Oaks Cottage and believe that our guests will too!
