The hosts were really great about their communication. They had suggestions for us from things to do to what to do if you are experiencing altitude sickness. The property is wonderful and the home is lovely!
This place met all of our expectations! Excellently appointed, everything worked like it was supposed to, can't wait to come back! Jonathan and Kelly are very attentive, and responsive! Thank you so much for a 5 star experience!
Jonathan and Kelly have a beautiful A-frame cabin, with a rustic cabin style look. It was a perfect place for a weekend getaway with a wonderful Hot Tub to help relax! We highly recommend this to others looking for a nice place to stay that is not too far away from surrounding activities! This is an option going forward for an option to stay! Thank you for the awesome cabin!
We were very pleased with our stay. The house was very clean. The views in the area are breathtaking. You feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere but you are still close to town and centrally located to a lot of activities we planned to do. I would stay here every time we come back and visit Colorado!
Wife and I traveled from Texas and stayed here for 2 nights. Our stay here was wonderful and the property was so clean and maintained. The hosts were very kind and helpful during our stay. We accidentally locked ourselves out and they were very responsive to the situation so we were able to get back in within 10 minutes of the incident. Overall, we are definitely planning to stay here again in March next year and would love to experience this beautiful cabin during the snowy season. We rate this cabin and the hosts 5/5 stars but in reality they deserve 10!
Spent a couple nights here ahead of a wedding. Clean and well organized. Listing notes air conditioning but believe that's only for the upstairs bedrooms. Main floor did not seem to air-conditioned making it a little stuffy on some of the hot days during the middle of the day. By evening with some open windows it was fine. TV wasn't fully setup so we just skipped it and listened to the forest. At night, the correct turn is hard to find and road a little intimidating at dark and while it's on acreage, neighbors are rather close. All in all a good stay.
The property was very quiet and relaxing. Everything was clean and well cared for. We don't have any negatives to say about the property itself. However, VRBO and the Owners need to have a more understanding cancellation policy. I came down with COVID 3 days prior to scheduled arrival day, with Doctors note in hand, asking for a refund since I obviously should not have traveled. VRBO said the refund policy was subject to owners policy. I made contact with the owners, explaining my situation. They refused a refund and only offered to give partial refund if they were able to re-rent the property. I understand it's a loss for the owners should I cancel but its not like the reason was not warranted with a physician note. We went ahead and traveled as the owners left us no choice and even they encouraged me to travel since they disinfect after every stay. Other than that, the trip and property were great. Moving forward we will look at other properties and vacation websites that have more understanding policies in regards to illness and cancellations.
Beautiful cabin with amazing views and perfect location . A true gem!

What makes this property unique
Notes to take into account: --We are in a forest fire area, so fire bans may occasionally happen. The timing of this is out of our control. This may mean not being able to use certain fire features or our grill. We will try to let you know during your stay if there is high fire danger and what cannot be used. Live burns and fires outside are strictly not permitted. --The Timber A-Frame does have A/C in the two bedrooms upstairs. In regard to the bedroom downstairs, at this elevation you don't need AC! It stays much cooler at 9,000 ft and open windows at night keeps it comfortable. --Events are welcome! Please inquire for more details before booking.
