We spent several days here and it was wonderful. The property was beautiful and well maintained. Angel was very responsive and helpful! A great place for a getaway
Very clean, pretty, and fun place to stay. We enjoyed the movie theater, hot tub, wrap around porch, and cleanliness of this house! We were also happy it was not far from hiking, horseback riding, or zip lining! Highly recommend!!
Our family stays in cabins in Hocking Hills and other areas three to four times a year. We have never gone to the same one twice, because although they have been great, we want to see if there is a perfect cabin. We found our perfect cabin. Everything about this cabin was wonderful. The tvs had all we needed, the beds were very comfortable, the cabinets were well stocked, and there was plenty to do outside. The hot tub was perfect, and the cabin was so very clean. I am a neat freak borderline germaphobe and for the first time ever, I didn’t feel the need to wash all bedding before using it. We will definitely be back!
This house provided us the perfect place for our Hocking Hills getaway! Close to all areas of Hocking Hills State Park. The house is beautiful and true to photos. We had 6 adults and all slept comfortably. Our favorite part was the movie theater area in the game room! Would recommend this space to others!
This was a great place. All the reviews are very accurate owners are doing a fantastic job. Really close to Hocking Hills and easy hiking trails. Was a lot of fun highly recommend.
Everything was very clean and we had a wonderful experience only issue was the driveway was a little difficult to use and the -93 was a little close so it was sometimes noisy... but would definitely recommend it for a family
Only One Complaint that driveway I wasn’t expecting that I got stuck because it’s paved with Gravel rocks and it on a hill. Beautiful Cabins Clean I Really Enjoy My stay. Thanks for the experience
Loved all the spaces to hang out inside and outside! Theater room was awesome for the kids. Enjoyed the hot tub and the large deck and fire pit. Very clean and had all the necessities. Close to the trails we wanted to hike. As some stated a little traffic noise but just turned on some tunes and it was no big deal. I must have missed the fact that it is a charcoal not a gas grill. Just be sure to bring charcoal and a lighter.
Cabin is gorgeous and stocked with everything you need. Large deck area is amazing. Only downside is cabin is right on Rt 93 with some traffic noise which didn’t cause any real problems. Driveway is pretty steep and bumpy. Otherwise cabin is quite a find with plenty of comfy king beds.
The house looks just like the pictures besides the master bedroom has no doors and is open to the stairwell but covered with a curtain. Very nice place and well equipped! Only thing wrong was the downstairs shower didn’t get hot, just lukewarm. We had a great stay! Hot tub was a plus!
Property was clean and well stocked. All four bedrooms have king size beds with new memory foam mattresses and good linens. Plenty of towels, including towels for the hot tub.
Property has a good water filtration system, so no need to buy/bring bottled water. The water had no well water taste.
Washer/dryer were new. TVs all were app based so could log in with your own credentials (we used YouTube TV to watch the Buckeyes game).
Coffee maker was a duo drip/Kuereg machine (with a dozen pods already there). Machine has a reusable coffee filter so you don't need to bring any (there were also paper filters there). Fridge has a good ice maker and three ice trays, so you're covered for ice.
Driveway is difficult to get up w/o four wheel drive (i.e., impossible) so you may have to park at the bottom and haul your stuff up.
Overall we were very pleased with the property and would stay there again.
Good weekend cabin trip but with a series of unfortunate events.
Overall the stay at this cabin was a nice time. It was fairly clean other than the hot tub. The first night after getting out of the hot tub, the water was green in color, as someone who owns a hot tub who has had 5 people in it at once I have never had an issue with the water being dirty after being in it. The driveway is definitely a downside especially in the winter. My friends car got stuck at the bottom of the driveway and had to get someone to tow it out. The host did let me know that the driveway wasn’t great so I did appreciate the heads up, it was just a snowy weekend. The power also went out one night for 3 hours. That was quite inconvenient as the house got cold very quickly and we had no WiFi or data to reach out to anyone. The water also stopped working as well as the toilets, so as you can imagine that was not a great experience. Finally , the carbon monoxide detectors started going off one night stating that the carbon monoxide levels in the house were dangerously high. We even checked a second detector in the house and the number was displaying 85 which can lead to death. Luckily after calling the fire department there was no signs of carbon monoxide levels in the house but having these faulty detectors definitely ruined the night and had us waiting outside in the cold for over an hour while we waited for the police department. Slightly disappointed with all the things we had to deal with during this cabin trip.
Lovely large house, close to all the Hocking Hill attractions. We made good use of the hot tub at the end of the day. (Loved the large beach towels provided for hot tub.) Tables, both inside and out, with enough seating for the 8 of us. I would suggest owner replace one of the sofas in living room when they have the chance-it has seen better days. Large washer and dryer were great. Many games, toys for children very helpful.
A note of caution for elderly/handicapped. The stairs to the main floor are quite steep. My husband with knee problems limited how many times a day he tried to do it, but it does leave the ground floor with high spacious ceilings where we could send the children to play.
I would recommend for any large family gathering,.
Myself, my mother, best friend & her husband, their 6yo and my 3 & 4yo kids stayed here. They had a baby gate for the top of the stairs which came in handy. The cabin has a great relaxing, cozy feel, but is also pretty luxurious. The amenities were great, pretty much had everything you could need. It was incredibly clean and inviting throughout. Check in/check out was simple. The communication was great. They left me with no questions unanswered long before check in. It's in a great location, secluded enough that you don't hear neighbors but also pretty close to the main attractions of Hocking Hills. Collectively, I would rate this experience with 6 stars if I could. The only thing I would have done differently is book it for another night or 2. I will definitely be back. Definitely recommend this cabin/hosts. You won't be disappointed.
We had a lovely time at this cabin! Easy to get in with code. Beautiful deck with charcoal grill. Great place to connect with our older kids and their families! Not a far drive from Old Man’s Cave!
