About this property
3BR, 3.5 BA. Log Cabin
Your retreat begins on the long and winding road that leads to your log cabin on a private ridgetop with long views to Brown County State Park and the green valleys below. The entire ridgetop is your private domain to walk or bike the forest trail, watch birds soar, or deer graze. Walk the fields, bird watch, star gaze, share campfire stories, play volleyball, soccer, or just relax listening to the birds sing and the wind in the trees across the valley below.
From the long front east porch, you may enjoy spectacular sunrises in a variety of hues and colors, and sunsets provide beautiful shadows over the trees and valley below as the stars
emerge. Be sure to bring your binoculars and/or telescope (dark sky Bortle class 4 rating) there is much to see on land and in the sky from your ridgetop perch.
Your log home is like three cabins in one:
On the main level is a wraparound porch with rocking chairs, a deck with a Weber gas grill, patio table & chairs, and easy access to the fire pit. Inside is a fully equipped cook’s kitchen with three ovens, ample prep and storage space, and a long harvest table. The living area has a vaulted ceiling, comfortable seating, and a fireplace stove with beautiful Brown County stone. The master bedroom has a full bathroom with shower, Jacuzzi bathtub, and a double vanity. Views of the hills far away and valley below are visible from each room on this level.
On the upper level you will find an entertainment area equipped with game table, games, books, puzzles, and reading nook with balcony to the living area below. The bedroom on this level hosts a queen size bed, a queen size sleeper sofa, and beautiful views of the meadow to the north. A twin sofa bed and full bath are conveniently located on this level.
On the lower level you will find a cozy, comfortable bedroom with views, a full bath, and an entertainment area with OLED-TV, Nintendo Switch, DVD/Blu-ray, Apple TV, pool table, wet bar, comfortable love seats and a fireplace stove. French doors lead to a covered porch with comfortable gliders, and a hot tub where you will view the fields, valley, hills, and stars.
In addition to all the many features to explore in the village of Nashville, to the East of your cabin are 15 thousand acres of Brown County State Park with its’ lodge, horse trails, walking trails, and nationally acclaimed mountain biking trails. To the West explore 23 thousand acres of uncrowded Yellowwood State Forest with its’ trails, and a 133-acre lake. You may picnic, rent a rowboat, go fishing or launch your own boat. You can even go panning for gold!
Guests enjoy their stay at RIDGETOP RETREAT because there is so much to do and yet one of the most popular activities here is resting and relaxing and just thinking about all the things you could do – if you wanted to. No pressure, that’s prestige!
