The property is ideal for a single person, a couple, or a small family and includes everything you need for a perfect vacation. With ample room, a full sized bedroom loft, washer dryer, and all new amenities you will step into an amazing property and will not want to leave.

In addition, within minutes you can be wine tasting at many award-winning wineries. Restaurants and antique stores are close by, as well as other local produce and cheese stands.

Perfect as always

Been staying here for nearly 10 years. Clean house with everything you need for a peaceful stay. The view is unbeatable. We even saw an eagle. The beach is a treasure. My sister and I thank you again for a wonderful stay.

Great area

Very easy to find, great location easy to get to wineries, restaurants and Orient point ferry. Quiet residential neighborhood on an inlet. Nice beach right down the street. Comfortable beds, many household amenities.

Beautiful spot to relax

This is a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. More than enough room for us (2 couples), comfortable beds, large living room to relax in and you can't beat the yard and the views. Short walk to a lovely beach and close to lots of places to shop, eat & drink. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

Perfect Weekend Getaway

Needed a place to rent after the family summer home unfortunately was sold. Stumbled across this listing a booked immediately. Pindar’s property was the perfect spot. Quaint and quiet but offered all the amenities we needed. And had a bonus beautiful view. Easy check in/check out. House was clean with no issues. Would love to stay again and will be looking for availability next summer!

Sail Round Shelter Island Trip

Pindar’s home was clean and very comfortable. The view of the water from the backyard was magnificent. Communication with Pindar was prompt and helpful. The only question I have was the listing mentioned a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for guests in the house? We did, however, enjoy a nice Sunday afternoon at the winery listening to great music and enjoying a variety of wine, and purchased several bottles online and at the winery.

The property owner was able to communicate with me, but it was impossible for me to respond to the property owner. Nice place. Beautiful view. My wife is in a wheelchair and the space was very tight for maneuvering the wheelchair.

Great weekend gateway spot

We loved our stay. The house was clean and had everything we needed. It is located a few minutes from the sound. We wished we have driven there sometimes but the parking lot is only for residents with permits, so we walked. The property overlooks Goldsmith inlet. We saw a lot of wildlife including swans and a deer which walked right through the back yard. The owner left a bottle of wine which was very nice and allowed for early check in and late check out. We would love to come back.

Lovely stay

As it was our first trip to the area we loved everything about our stay at Pindar’s. He was so accommodating in every way and the home suited our needs perfectly. Situated on a lake with an occasional swan swimming by and a short walk to the beach on Long Island Sound the location was perfect. The house had every amenity we needed and we enjoyed sitting outside and enjoying the lake from the Adirondack chairs. The home is near the many area wineries and farm stands. Just a perfect place in a perfect location.

Perfect for a relaxing getaway

We loved staying at Pindar's charming cottage not only for the comfy accommodations, but also for the beautiful water views. So peaceful to watch the swans who make Goldsmith's Inlet their home. We were also treated one morning to a doe and her two fawns as they passed through the lovely backyard. It's very easy to lose track of time enjoying the quiet of the morning from the vantage point of the back deck with a cup of coffee in hand. We also enjoyed the complimentary bottle of Pindar's Autumn Gold out on the deck in the late afternoon. Quiet location that's still close to wineries, shops, and restaurants...plus the LI Sound/beach is just down the road.

Peaceful property

Gem of a property and fantastic owner. The place is just as pictured, with an even better back yard. The location is incredible. Close to great restaurants, wineries, and other great attractions of the North Fork. We usually go at least once a year and would definitely stay again!
