First of all, let me start by saying the grounds are gorgeous...lots of huge shade trees and beautiful tropical landscaping. The buildings, on the other hand, look like the Brady Bunch house! They were built in the early 70s so that's to be expected. A positive that comes with this era of architecture is that the spaces are quite large. The downside is the ceilings are all very low and there were NO ceiling fans, which are really a MUST HAVE in Florida. I am used to having a ceiling fan running top speed while I sleep so this made the nights tough. Another downside was there was a connecting door to the unit next door that is paper thin. I could hear the conversations of the people as if they were in the room with me! And a TV came on LOUDLY out of the blue from the next unit at 3am! That made for a rude awaking.
A couple other glitches made the stay not as smooth as we had hoped for. The keypad to the unit was not intuitive and we were not given instructions other than the code so we had to try and try to get it to finally unlock. We contacted the owner to ask about it, but never heard back from him. There were also dirty dishes in the sink when we checked in. I would also recommend keeping the curtains closed to allow the AC to cool the unit down before folks check in. All the curtains were open and it was quite stuffy when we checked in even though the AC was running full blast.
