This house is awesome, has all the accomodations you could ask for. Close to snow play areas, we also had snow around the house. Sofa in the living room is super comfortable! Lots of parking and also there is a carport! My kids loved the house, especially looking for it at night!
I was here for a few days, enjoying the seclusion and beauty of the foothills. The house is very well appointed, super clean, and they have thought of just about everything. It was very nice to arrive and find a few essentials waiting for me such as coffee, snacks, and even fresh eggs in the fridge! Great hosts and a great property! Oh yeah, Johnny was incredibly responsive any time I had an issue whether big or small.
Overall, excellent. We stayed 2 nights in winter. Roads were clear. A few other homes in sight but strong sense of privacy. Heating and cooking were good. Good tmobile data reception. Didnt try streaming. TV with DVD player and HDMI input. Driveway is between Bonnynook Rd intersection and american flag. Home is very clean and well equipped for your stay. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly. Top rating.
Amazing place it is. Amazing people(humans) at heart & at action.
if you are looking for a digital detox, this is the place.
Strongly recommend.
We had a good time with familily. 4 Adults - 3 kids
Some suggestions.
--------------------------
Picture of entrance view - will make it easy to identify once you enter the property.
Can have Wi-Fi/Internet - Not an option if anyone needs to connect to work as the Cell Phone reception at location doesn't help.
Can have an upgraded media player (not just a DVD player)
Beddings
- Beds can be Queen - not comfortable when you are 180 LBS - LOL.
- Additional mattresses & Pillows can help ad the couch is an amazing recliner and makes it uncomfortable to sleep.
Place was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay. Nice and calm place to stay.
We rented this property for a night for our two day trip to Lake Tahoe. It is little bit far from Lake Tahoe. But I would highly recommend this property for its locality, and cleanliness. It is little bit hard to find this property at night. Host was so supportive, she assisted us to find the property and check in process was very easy.
Our hosts were very responsive about sharing check in and check out details. The house is nice and cozy with 2 small decks for peaceful morning coffee!
It was nice driving around watching the train run through the mountains!
Would love to see more information on nearby trails where we can go for a walk or other things to do.
We only stayed one short night but it was a
comfortable stay. The cabin was rustic and cozy, but also spacious and had everything we needed for our stop over. Communication with the host was very easy and he was super helpful with check in. The kitchen had everything we needed but if you are in need of spices, oil or a specific cooking item, check in with the host.

Great adventure home-base
Ventured up to Tahoe for the holiday weekend and used this spot as a home-base for our daily trips to various crags near Truckee. Very cozy and a great place to come home to after a long day out. We had a hard time finding the place at night (the roads in that area are a little confusing) but our hosts John and Crystal were super helpful throughout the stay (and left us snacks!).
