Clean cottage that was great for a short ski trip to Ragged mountain with the family. Communication with Barb was excellent too. Might want to come back in the summer and explore the hiking and waterfalls! Just wished we knew the master shower was not going to be functional before booking, since we were bringing 2 teenagers, but it worked out for a short stay.
We LOVED our stay! The cabin was very accommodating and magical. We were surrounded by great, green pines while the snow blanketed the ground. Honestly, it was all one could ask for during a winter's weekend in New Hampshire. Thank you SO much!

The cabin is very quaint and quite spacious. Love the ambience of the Propane fireplace. The kitchen was well equipped. The host was immediately available when needed. Great little find.
Communication and check in was smooth, the owners even had someone come and shovel the snow from the entry after a night storm. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking and it's pretty clean. Gas stove gives a nice even heating and cozy vibe. We enjoyed a nice hike around the area without having to get in the car... It would be nice if there was a larger hot water tank to actually fill the tab with hot water (there was hardly enough hot water for half a tab). Bed is quite firm, a little too firm for one of us :)
I was graduating in Manchester and I was having trouble finding anyone to accommodate my family (the four dogs were the issue) but I could not leave them for that many days and decided to travel with them or not attend my commencement.
I reached out to Barbara and explained my situation and she was so receptive and I cannot explain how much I appreciated that. She allowed my traveling family of 3 plus 4 dogs to stay in her cabin. Check in was seamless and the cabin itself was spotless and it had everything you could need while away from home, down to a tray of ice in the freezer for your arrival. Everything was put together so thoughtfully. I don’t know when I’ll be traveling to NH again but I would absolutely stay in this cabin again!
Thank you for hosting us, Barbara!
First of all, Barbara was great at communicating with us and was accommodating as well. The Hideaway Cottage was just as pictured. It was very clean and tidy. It is a cottage so the furniture is comfortable but not newly updated. It was what we would expect when renting a cottage but also much neater and cleaner, which we were thrilled to find, especially for a place that does allow pets. The cottage was woodsy and quiet. We wish we had had more time to spend exploring hiking trails nearby and to enjoy the fire pit down by the stream. Such a pretty little place. It is also in good proximity to Little Sunapee Lake. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
We so enjoyed our five-night stay in Cottage A. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, just what we wanted for a relaxing getaway. Barb was very responsive to questions. Thank you for a fabulous vacation in a beautiful location!
We stayed here while attending a conference at Proctor Academy and absolutely loved the property. It's quiet, clean, cozy, and has everything you need. The host was very responsive and welcoming; she offered a great recommendation for nearby swimming with our dog. We would love to stay again in the future!
I loved this cottage. It was so clean and very cozy. I love the layout and how each bedroom has its own bathroom. I also loved the location and convenient self chech-in. We will definitely be going back.

Quaint cottage, everything you might need. Its quiet, well maintained, and spacious enough for 3 or 4 people. Very comfortable beds and a nice kitchen. Owner was very courteous and communicative. Have a great firepit down by a small waterfall, very peaceful. Had a great golf weekend with some friends. Would definitely recommend
Had to come up for a funeral but was very familiar with area as my mother in law was a long time New London resident. Stayed here with my 2 adult children and our pups and it was just perfect. Close to everything in town and close the wonderful walking areas. Very clean and roomy and the porches were awesome.
Awesome spot that was very tidy, cozy and homey! We were passing through town on our way to the White Mountains and the cabin was a great resting point. Beds were comfortable and the fireplace heated the living room well. The kitchen had everything to cook a full breakfast. Highly recommend this spot!
Just lovely buuut, the outside mainainance was lacking; paint peeling terribly, blue stucco broken and piled up at entrance exposing under the house, porches not swept, numerous cobwebs above on both porches and plant remnants (stuck to back patio fencing), bird droppings on back porch, window sills very dirty but everything else was lovely. Beds comfortable, bathrooms clean, kitchen stocked with utensils. Wish there was something besides dark roast coffee. Loved the area, LOVED the waterfall. Lovely place.
It was clean, quiet and a perfect setting. I have been going to the area for over 30 years and never been to the other side of little lake Sunapee. It is such a pretty area and so close to New London for food, shopping and surrounding lakes for swimming, boating and local sights.
