We came to this area for a family wedding near the property.
Loved the small town of Clayton and enjoyed a morning at Tullulah Falls. This vacation rental was the perfect size for our family. The view was beautiful this time of year.
We love the Dillard/Clayton area and have stayed here the past several years for our annual girls mountain trip. This was a great house that was easy to get to and convenient to many things. Only downside was the downstairs got extremely cold and some of the bedroom outlets were not working. We still had a great time!
The cabin is quiet, clean, and comfortable. The porch is nestled near the trees with a beautiful mountain view. It was an overall good experience for our large family. We did find that taking the longer road to the cabin worked better with our car.
House fit 11 adults and teens perfectly. Great, quiet location and wonderful hosts. Had an amazing weekend with family playing games, hiking and sitting around the fire. Wish we had one more day to enjoy. Definitely recommend this beautiful cabin.
My family and I spent Christmas at this awesome cabin. Everything was as described. The cabin was very clean and well organized. We really had a great family vacation. Thank you so much Andrew for taking the time to make sure the we had everything we need.
Our family of 8 met here from 3 different states and thoroughly enjoyed this home. Beautiful with plenty of room and comfy beds. It's location on the mountain felt very private and was close enough to town for last minute store runs. One road in, had a bit of a wash-out area so only the truck took that way, but the other road in was easy to drive. We had a great time and would definitely like to stay here again if we get to the Clayton area in the future. By the way-owner communication-excellent.
Our family stayed at the cabin for our son’s rehearsal dinner and wedding at Kingwood Golf Resort and Chatooga Belle Farms. The cabin is wonderful and cozy, like in the pictures. The neighborhood is picturesque with a nicely paved road. Depending on the route you take, some of the drive to the cabin may involve gravel roads that can be difficult for a low sitting vehicle, such as a sports car or low sitting sedan. The owner provides extensive direction and guidance to help you take the easiest route to the cabin.
We had a great 3-night stay in this mountain cabin. Owners were awesome, so accommodating and even gave us a great deal on an extra night when I asked if we could come a day early. The house was clean, beds were comfy and had a nice little view. 4 adults and 5 kids stayed here comfortably, the bunk bed downstairs had a trundle too so it actually sleeps 4 kids easily. I would definitely recommend coming up the longer way that is more paced, our friends got stuck coming up the gravel road that google maps told us to go (however, the owners did give us the alternate directions…stick with that!). Would highly recommend Mountain Grill nearby for lunch and don’t miss on the homemade cinnamon rolls! Also very close to white water rafting on the chatooga river…that was a blast.
Beautiful view of mt. from deck and 8 min. from downtown Clayton & Ingles. Interior was lovely and updated and the layout was great for entertaining. I had to contact Andrew about way too many ?/ issues and usually VRBO's have a notebook w/ helpful tips, instructions, recommendations etc. and are more than surface cleaned. Andrew was responsive though. 4th BR is behind wet bar spice rack in basement & was a cute kid room, but cold & drafty, so I put my adventuresome, outback hiking son there and thankfully he was a good sport. It took some time to figure out the panel switch for lights in other basement BR. Entire house is on one system, so upstairs had to be cranked up to the point of toasty to help downstairs. There were 3 small floor heaters that really didn't suffice. It would have been helpful to have comforters and blankets on all beds rather than the thin bedspreads. Christmas tree was a nice touch, but the outlet for lights was not secured to the wall. There was substantial dust on blinds, fans and large cobwebs all along one wall/ceiling going to top. Brother later told me there was mold in caulking in basement tub. Sent Andrew pics & he offered a cleaner to come out on Xmas Eve & I declined since my family had all arrived, and it was a deep cleaning issue. I was hoping the 250 cleaning fee would have ensured it was good to go. Nice, peaceful spot, but just needs some deep cleaning and small maintenance. *need dish towels and grease pan for grill
We enjoyed our week at this cabin! We had 6 kids aged 5-16 and 4 adults. We barely made it up the mountain with our minivan (not 4WD) but switched routes and took the one lane route to and from the cabin with no problems.
We were able to get a short run in (major incline) from the cabin one day we were there. The owner was very responsive to a few issues that came up for us.
We spent most of our time on the main level deck and in the living room but there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out! We made most of our meals at the cabin in the kitchen and there was plenty of utensils and bakeware.
The stairs leading to the basement doesn't have a door on it so you will need a baby gate for small children.
Andrew was awesome!!! He prepared us for everything and the communication was excellent once we arrived!! The cabin was sooo beautiful and cozy!! Not one negative ALL positive and amazing!! Definitely staying again!!!
