About this property
Holidays in the Künstlerhaus am Stadtgraben. On a Havel island, right on the water.
Holiday guests who have booked the Künstlerhaus am Stadtgraben will have a rare opportunity to live in an artist's studio during their vacation and to try themselves out as an artist, if desired. The old house from 1879 houses on 3 floors and over 300 m2 not only a holiday apartment but also an artist's workshop with all the necessary tools and an attic photo studio with a professional flash system. There is also something to read - over 1000 books are everywhere, at hand. Bicycles and an in-house Havel barge with an outboard await sporty guests.
Up to 6 people can drive on the Havel, via a bird reserve, to the Elbe. When the weather is fine, you can also grill or simply linger with a bottle of wine at the large wooden table, in the courtyard or in the garden, as in France or Italy. If you want to be alone, you will always find some corner in the house where you can read or think undisturbed. However, if you want to mingle with people, all you have to do is go out through the front door. The house is right in the old town, about 100 meters from the town hall and the market. It is a house with two faces. An elegant town house on the street side and a green house on the water side. In the house itself, guests will find a strange atmosphere that resembles Venice's morbid charisma and at the same time resembles old bourgeois houses in Germany. Everywhere, really everywhere there are works of art, hanging or lying, small art objects or strangely beautiful objects. A magical world, just an hour's train ride from Berlin, is waiting to be discovered and experienced.
