Patricia Could not have been a more gracious host. The house was absolutely beautiful and the ground were stunning. Not all the staff was available, but we never would have known as she has a remarkable team who works seamlessly. The food wasoutstanding and Patricia did everything she could to make sure we were able to squeeze in all of the actvities we wanted to do ona short amount of time. We all cannot wait to return so we can go and relax and enjoy the beautiful home and exceptional hospitality some more.
This home/property is truly special. The home and surrounding land is nestled in the mountains and surrounded by lush greenery and flowers. The views are breathtaking and tranquil. And on the property are walking trails and a full-size tennis court, which we used daily for both tennis and pickle ball. It was so sweet seeing my 4- and 7-year old playing tennis together with their 70+ year old grandparents. And next to the court is a large open grass field, which was great for letting the kids run around and for playing soccer. The home is equally beautiful and unique. It's spacious, very comfortable, largely on one level (save for one guest bedroom), which was ideal as our kids are younger and my husband's parents stayed with us a couple nights. It has a heated pool on a nice stone patio with lounge chairs and tables, a billiard table and smart TV, although I'm not sure we watched any TV with all of the other fun stuff to do.
And last, but not certainly not least, the staff is amazing and so kind! Patricia was so helpful and accommodating throughout. We had a passport snafu that forced us to push our dates a few days, and Patricia graciously worked with us. We also took advantage of having breakfast and the traditional Mexican lunch prepared daily and the food was 5 star. As a working mom, I can't tell you what a special treat it was to have these meals prepared. The staff did the grocery shopping for us, all of the meal preparation and clean-up. My son has some dietary restrictions and they kindly accommodated that as well. They also made the beds and cleaned the home daily.
Finally, if you want to venture off of the property, the town of Tepoztlan is just a 10-minute drive away. It has fun shops and access to the mountain, although we didn't do any hiking this trip. Cuernavaca is also a short drive away, but we're saving that for next time!
I'm not sure I've ever felt more relaxed and replenished following a trip. This place is truly special and we were so lucky to share it with family from nearby Mexico City, who couldn't believe we had found such a spectacular place.
I don't know where to start. Probably with the people. The owners, Patricia and George, were so helpful and outgoing. We were arriving in the evening of an event in Tepoz, and our Google maps was having trouble finding the place, particularly with the road closures in the town. George drove into the mazelike town to lead us to the hacienda. Not many would have done so.
The staff working at the house were outgoing and wonderful. We'd particularly recommend taking advantage of the cooking, which was delicious.
Finally, the property itself was unlike anything I've rented before--huge, with lots of amenities. The kids loved exploring, and we had a local tennis pro come by and give lessons a couple of times.
In short, we had a really wonderful time.
We can not say enough positive things about this property, the staff and the owner. From the moment we arrived we were awestruck. We definitely recommend taking full advantage of the staff meal preparation option for a very reasonable cost. It made life so nice to wake up and have a traditional breakfast and all of us looked forward to dinner to see and taste what was to come. The staff stay on the property and are some of the kindest people we have ever met. Truly genuine!! The best way I know to determine the success of a vacation is when it comes time to leave...... we did not want to leave and are already making plans for what will become our annual return.
Great place. Great staff. Great owner communication
In an otherwise casa y monthlong trip to Mexico, the place… its owner and staff were the prescription for a week of tranquilo. As described, comfortable, cool and quiet. I would recommend.
Disfrutamos muchisimo de nuestro tiempo, pudimos desconectar y Patricia y su equipo estaban pendientes de nosotros en todo momento. Un lugar precioso y tranquilo, justo lo que estabamos buscando!

Great stay between the mountains!
We had a great experience at Villa San Clementito. We had fast and direct contact with Patricia from the beginning. All the staff was extremely nice with us. The rooms and green areas were comfortable and spacious. The kitchen was traditional and modern, fully equiped! Waking up with the sound of nature was very special. We fully recommend san clementito for anyone who wants a relaxing space for a big family.

Again and again
This is my go to place for peace and relaxation. I have been multiple times and will go again.
The views are stunning, from the verandas of this clean, welcoming and well maintained oasis.
The owner and staff go out of their way to make your stay what you want it to be.
I love going into Tepo for the market on Wed and the weekend.
Relax and enjoy the wonderful spot.

Beautiful summer villa with amazing views.
I had an amazing stay at Villa San Clementito last year. The villa is beautiful, quiet with a wonderful staff that prepared delicious meals, cleaned and basically responded to our every request. We took strolls around the area, spent time in the little town and basically had the most relaxing time. The views from the yard are absolutely spectacular. I would highly recommend this villa.

Villa San Clementito - Relaxing and Magical
Visiting the village of Tepotzlan is a something I do at least annually...sometimes more! When planning, I always check the availability of Villa San Clementito --- in my opinion it is the only place to stay! The staff is second to none in client concerns --- from preparing special meals to making beds --- absolutely nothing is overlooked! The owner, Patricia, is amazing and I am certain her picture is in the dictionary for "hospitality" --- need I say more? The property is well located, beautiful, clean and the amenities leave nothing to be desired! I am please to recommend this property, its staff and owner to everyone ---- make your plans to visit Tepotzlan and be certain to make your reservations at Villa San Clementito!!

Falling in love again - with Mexico
The property was timeless, enveloped in the curve of the mountains and while colonial in design, functionally current, careful to contribute to the ecologic sustainability of the area.
The architecture and design of the spacious venue optimizes gathering in distinct salons, patios, gardens, poolsides and so the large property is transformed into a respite for intimate conversation, walks, unhurried meals or even a party.
The rooms are each uniquely decorated and well appointed reflecting the period. Everything is clean and in working condition. The kitchen is large and well equipped, the food and staff are phenomenal. The last sentence is worth repeating because it contributes to transformative relaxing.
The gardens and paths permit leisurely walks without needing to leave the property. I highly recommend.

Villa San Clemente dazzles even seasoned world travelers
This is a dream destination for those attracted to rural serenity, space in which to roam around exquisite grounds and trails on the property, and to interact with a culture rich in art and history. San Clemente, its amazingly gracious owner Pattie Hogan, and the small group of "family" that attended to our needs, impressed my wife and me as an unique gem with relatively easy access to nearby Tepotzlan, Cuernavaca, and Puebla. Our week of luxury living, surrounded at all times by astounding beauty, passed all too quickly!

The perfect place to experience Tepoztlán.
We were fortunate to have found and stayed in this special house. It is located in a unique site with no immediate neighbors so it was very quiet and relaxing. Tepoztlán is an enchanted town and the hacienda retains all of the qualities that makes Tepoztlán special. We were fortunate to have nice weather and that special sun, so unique to Tepoztlán. The house has great views of the mountains and valley. The staff were polite, friendly and professional. The grounds were expertly maintained and the accommodations clean and tidy. We were lucky enough to have been given a tour and history of the hacienda by the owner Patricia who, with the staff, made us feel at home with personalized service.
We go to Tepoztlán for rest and relaxation. It is a great place for us to escape from the big city and this destination exactly fitted our needs. We hope to become regulars.

A Wonderful Weekend in Tepoztlan
This last weekend (June 23rd to June 25th 2017) we stayed in in the Villa San Clementito to celebrate the 6th birthday of my great grand son and we had no idea what awaited us. The hacienda is absolutely gorgeous and every detail is carefully seen to by a dedicated team of employees who cook, serve, clean and serve any and all of your needs.
The design of the house is country rustic in the mexican hacienda style principally of stone and volcanic rock. All of the furniture is rustic and in perfect condition. There are paintings everywhere in a mixture of animals, landscapes, and abstract. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms modern but with mexican talavera tile to add color and also blend in with the rustic design. The beds are super comfortable with king size, double and single beds available. Almost all of the berooms have thier own bathroom.
Al in all it was a wonderful weekend. We all enjoyed it very much. For a relaxing weekend; fun with the family; relaxing and dining in the patio, or lounging by the pool, it comes as close to perfect as I can imagine.

Relaxing, well run and well appointed
This was our 2nd visit to the villa. As before, Pattie and her staff were on top of the details, including transit to/from the house.
The house was clean, well-stocked and a pleasure to visit. My wife's parents joined us for this trip. They were equally impressed by the fantastic meals prepared by the staff (optional, don't miss out), views and overall experience of our visit.
We're likely to visit again.

Villa San Clementito is simply magical!
This location is amazing with the views of the mountains and the lush gardens surrounding the property. The house is beautiful with all the most modern amenities. The kitchen is perfect with a gourmet gas range and the patio has a bad ass grill.
The bedrooms are very well stocked with everything you need from shampoo to bug spray. The beds are excellent with great mattresses and pillows.
The living areas at Villa San Clementito are my favorite places to be. From the pool side lounging areas to open casual living room...all bring a wonderful sense of relaxation and fun
The property outside of the villa is also extensive and beautiful with fruit trees, tennis courts and lovely lawns.
Then, there is the staff. The owner has the most amazing staff that will help you with all your needs. They are lovely people who want you to enjoy your stay.
Do NOT miss staying at Villa San Clementito!

Lovely and Peaceful
This hacienda is scenic and peaceful. We could swim , hike or just sit around and read. There were many excellent restaurants nearby and the shopping in town was enjoyable. Since the hacienda is well known in town, the cab drivers have no trouble getting you home. Our suite was spotless and the staff is very attentive. I would recommend this place for anyone who wants a low-key vacation.

A little slice of Heaven
Our visit to Villa San Clementito was absolutely wonderful. One of the best relaxing vacations we have ever experienced. The house is so perfectly fitted into the local Tepotzlan fabric and the interiors so well created to reinforce the local history and culture while being completely warm and friendly. The home is filled with works of local artisans and paintings. Also throughout the house are paintings of the house from a variety of artists that have visited over the years. They were so impressed and moved by the stay that they want to record their visit with a wonderful piece of art. The house and the grounds are very special and provide not only relaxing sleeping accommodations but have a wonderful pool and deck for taking advantage of the beautiful mountainside scenery. In the evening our favorite activity was to pour a glass of wine grab some cheese and crackers and watch the sun go down against the mountains and the distant towns turn on their lights. You will not be disappointed in the setting and the views both close and distant. The food is delicious and the meals are very authentic and well prepared. However we found it delightful to pick up steaks at the local market and do our own grilling out. The staff is outstanding. Very helpful, courteous and professional. They take great care in making your stay pleasant and ensure that you have everything you need to enjoy your time at the Villa. The town of Tepotzlan is also wonderful and mystical. It is so convenient and easy to tour and visit. There are interesting shops and outstanding local restaurants. It is just one more added advantage of the location of the Villa. All aspects of staying at the Villa were so positive that we cannot wait to visit again next year. All in all we found Villa San Clementito to be our "little slice of heaven".

About the host
Hosted by Patricia Hogan
I came to Mexico in 1976, intending to be here for two years, and I am still here. I have managed the first relocation company in Mexico for all this time, helping executives move their families to this wonderful country. We have used that same experience to provide a unique hospitality in Tepoztlan.
Why they chose this property
What could be more relaxing than waking up as the sun comes over these magical Tepoztlan mountains? From the first visit out here, as guests of the original adventuresome owner, Clemente M. Jacques, we knew it was where we wanted to visit often. When one day in 1987 he came to our home in Mexico City and said he wanted to sell and he wanted to sell to us, well, it took about 10 minutes of discussion to say 'yes!'
