A New Retreat at Clear Clear Lake, A Uniquely Iowan Experience

Find the perfect slice of Americana lake life in this newly renovated home on Clear Lake. No detail has been spared in creating this retreat for you and your loved ones to slow down, relax and make memories. The home features unique Iowa theming in each room. Enjoy the lake views from the Buddy Holly room, or enjoy the master suite with luxury bathroom, jacuzzi tub and screened porch. Whether you're boating, grilling, ice fishing, cycling, shopping, Netflixing, crafting or by the campfire (or fireplace) at night; this is where memories are made.

Besides the three bedrooms, there are couches and air mattresses for extra sleeping spaces. The updated and well-equipped kitchen includes a gas range and double oven and check out the wood carved map of clear lake in the redesigned dining room. If you need a desk for a workcation or quick meeting, we have a setup for that too with high-speed, stable internet.

For those bringing a boat, the home does not have a private dock, but you'll be minutes or a short walk from a public boat ramp or State beach.

The home is unofficially named Ron's Landing, after our late father who loved Clear Lake and spent many summer weekends at the lake with us.  We designed this space with care to be the perfect retreat for us and our families, so we know you'll have an unforgettable experience and love it just as much as we do.

Security camera disclosure: as required by VRBO, there are two external security cameras at this property. One covers the front door and one covers the back door. They are purely for security purposes since the owners do not live local.

Awesome Lake House

This property has all the comforts of home. The kitchen is equipped with all of the appliances, utensils, cook and bakeware needed to prepare any meal. The bed and bathrooms were comfortable and well appointed. The living areas were comfortable, but, the real attraction was the front deck and enclosed porch with the great view of the lake. We were there in the off season late September early October and it was nice and quiet. I imagine there would be more activity at the height of summer. We had a wonderful time and this house and Clear Lake are definitely on our list of places to return to.

Clear Lake family vacation/retreat.

We love Clear Lake, the town and the lake itself. This property has been beautifully appointed and equipped with the latest technology - from check in to check out, the WIFI, the TVs, the Sonos speakers. Loved the renovations. The family could bond with games, food, walks, bike rides, getting out on the lake and just hanging out. Highly recommend.

Family Fun Fest

This home is outstanding. I highly recommend staying at this location. Couldn’t have been easier to navigate between the home, PM Park, and the rest of the family that were staying on the south shore. Plenty of parking for 4 cars. The owners are tremendous. Reached out to check in. We appreciated that. The neighbors are really nice too. My relatives that live there are also recommending this home to their friends that visit. Beautiful Spot In Clear Lake

This is a beautiful vacation home in Clear Lake. It is across the street from the lake and has lake views. We spent most of our time on the front deck relaxing with family. Our two adult children, their spouses, and four grandchildren stayed with us. There are quiet spaces for babies to nap and young kids to play. The house is spotless and is stocked with everything you need. The grill made it easy to feed a crowd and there is also a fire pit in the back. We loved our stay and would return when visiting family in the area.

Great Memories!

Perfect home on the lake! We still have teens at home and an adult child with her own little family. This home offered lots of options for spending time together, while still giving us the privacy we needed. The home had everything we needed for our stay and was very well organized. Cleanliness is very important to me, and this home did not disappoint. The host was very quick to respond, and very accommodating. We have rented several vacation homes and this one was one of my favorites!

Winter Trip

This was the first trip we've taken to Clear Lake for ice fishing. Made great memories out on the ice, and then enjoyed warming up in the comfort of the fireplace at night.

We enjoyed our stay here, such a cute and cozy home with everything we needed for cooking and baking. Several spaces for visiting and game playing, while others watched the game. The open concept kitchen made everyone feel included and had plenty of room for dining and snacking. Beds were comfortable and fully stocked with plenty of extra pillows and blankets. The house is well decorated and architecturally interesting from the ceiling beams to the unique nooks and pocket doors. It's a fun house with something for everyone, looking forward to staying here again in the summer and enjoying the lake.

More like a Cozy Hotel than a VRBO

Great experience. The property is nestled in one of the little winding neighborhoods on the south shore. The house is cozy, very well stocked (plenty of towels, linens, toilet paper, trash liners, cookware, access to cleaning supplies/vacuum, and a few complimentary snacks). No detail is overlooked. Our only issue was somewhat limited space to set up mattresses and the mattresses deflating in the night. One bedroom has an open ceiling and opens into the upstairs den, so privacy is somewhat limited. There are 8 bed spots (two of those are on an upper bunk that should probably have a weight limit). Parking is tight (normal for this area) and should be maxed out at 3-4 vehicles, there is no street parking. We would love to come back but would not plan on more than 10 people. Owner was great with communication and responded quickly!

Spectacular home

We rented this home for my daughters birthday weekend with our family and enjoyed it very much. The backyard is nice & large enough to enjoy a round of bean bags in. The kitchen had all the amenities you need. It’s wonderful to have the basic household items provided. We have stayed many places that don’t offer this so it is a perk. Ben was wonderful with our check-in experience & followed up to make sure we were all good. Five stars!

This slice of heaven on Clear Lake was the perfect spot for our family vacation!

This property was clean, nicely updated and had everything we needed on property for the perfect family vacation! We were able to watch the sunrise and set overlooking Clear Lake! The property is close to the Marina and a quick walk to ice cream! We loved the location and the quiet neighborhood! Excellent communication from Ben start to finish!

Perfect Lake Getaway

This house has everything we could possibly need and more; very well-appointed and high quality items throughout. The space was very well utilized and cleverly built- every nook and cranny was used and created unique spaces for everyone to spread out and enjoy their time there. Ben was great and responsive, and has done a great job thinking of everything needed, plus going the extra mile to make guests feel welcome. We enjoyed walking through the neighborhood and neighbors were so friendly, chatting with us as we went. We've vacationed at Clear Lake many times, but this was our favorite house to stay at ever- thank you Ben for all of the wonderful ways you made our stay so special!

Family Vacation

Our family of 11 enjoyed a weeks vacation at this beautiful home on a quiet street close to the lake. The rental had about everything you need for your stay! A large fridge/freezer and large gas grill was perfect for our family. Lots of room to spread out with the screened in porch, 4 season room and a loft. We enjoyed the front deck for fun of friendly conversation! There were some indoor games for the rainy days. There is also a fire pit in the back yard. The south boat dock is only a few minutes away on Crain street and that is where our pontoon rental from Movement Solutions was dropped off and picked up for us. The beaches are only a few minutes away too. Our family is definitely putting this rental on our stay again list. Thanks to Ben the owner for a wonderful place to stay and enjoy our family time. Hi! I'm Ben and my spouse is Chris and we're very excited to host you. We enjoy traveling quite a bit ourselves and have always preferred short-term vacation rentals to better experience and explore new places. We reside primarily in Iowa but are lucky to have remote careers that allow us to travel.

Why they chose this property

Clear Lake is a special place to me; growing up my grandparents had a cottage which is just a couple of blocks away from this property. We spent many summer weekends there with the family and extended family. After watching the market for a years for the right house to come on the market, this one did in fall 2021 so we jumped on it. We've spent countless hours updating and refreshing it with family and friends. We want it to be bright, inviting, cozy and a place for our family and yours to make incredibly memories at.

What makes this property unique

This home is designed to have some great gathering spaces as well as some private areas. A nice front deck, a screened in back patio, a grilling area and a fire pit are all great spaces to spend time with friends as well as the open kitchen and living room. There is a smaller second story patio, a den and a second living room for when you want a smaller space. While not waterfront, this home still has views of the lake and is minutes away from public beaches.
