Ekahi Lower Village Condo ~5B~

Our Wailea Ekahi 5B is a one bedroom 2 bath condo and serves as our winter home so it is very well equipped and furnished. A complete remodel down to the studs done in 2007 created an open, more contemporary feel than most Ekahi condos. Central AC, sleep number king bed, totally new kitchen with island/microwave convection oven/induction cooktop, counter height dining on our wide lanai, sophisticated AV system all contribute to making this one bedroom, two bath condo the best that Ekahi offers. We have created a separate standard twin size day bed area with adjacent bathroom for a 3rd person that also serves as a great place for a quiet afternoon nap. You will definitely appreciate the flat walk to the ocean and Ekahi pool pavilion area!

Beautiful condo, perfect location to the beach
My husband and I stayed for 6 days at 5B and it was perfect in so many ways. Beautiful condo, stocked and designed for guests, in a perfect location. Wailea Ekahi Village is an amazing location with access to multiple pools and the beach. There is a walkway along the beach that we frequented daily, with access to multiple restaurants. Snorkeling is available right off the beach! The condo is walking distance from the main pool and beach. It’s perfect size for a couple, or a couple and a kiddo. We had everything we needed and access amazing restaurants was a short drive away. The lanai was our favorite part - large, comfortable with a dining table and lounge chairs. Amazing environment and wonderful hosts!

Wailea beach oasis
We absolutely loved this unit! The decor is so cute and cozy. Very clean. Barbara was a fantastic host. She was very helpful and kind. We loved sitting on the patio having breakfast each day listening to the birds and ocean. Also the property of Ekahi is amazing as well. The outdoor bbq space was ideal for families and kids. We would stay here again for sure. Thanks Barbara! :)

Beautiful Condo
Perfect home base for a Maui visit. Quiet, comfortable, a well stocked kitchen and beach chairs, towels, coolers, ice packs and an umbrella are provided. What more does one need? This location provides easy access to a quiet pool, the pavilion pool and the beach. The bed is very comfortable and it is great to have a washer and dryer - you can pack fewer clothes. We appreciated and used the provided coffee, spices, cooking oil and condiments. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back.

Wonderful Stay in Paradise
The Ekahi Village is a wonderful property with beautiful grounds, a really nice pool right next to the beach and a newly remodeled pavillion with kitchen and BBQ facilities! 5B was in a perfect location and was perfect for a family of 3. The mini-bedroom suite was perfect for my 14 year old son! The condo was also newly renovated and had everything we needed and more! It was just a 3 min walk to the main pool and beach! I would definitely recommend this lovely condo for a small family!

Great place close to the beach front pool. Real short walk to the beach. Clean and very comfortable, just the right amount of Hawaiian vibe and the feeling of home. Great host, easy check in and everything you need is there. Perfect amount of space for a couple plus one.

Perfect Stay!
The owner made herself available via email well before and during our booking for any needs or questions we may of had, even sent some suggestions on what to do on the island. I asked if the condo had pickleball rackets because we like to play every morning and the owner immediately bought a set and had them in the condo upon our arrival. The condo was also well appointed with all the staples: plenty of towels, shampoo/conditioner, soap, lotion, olive oil, spices, coffee, sugar. We really didn’t have to worry about buying extra staples which was nice. The condo itself was very spacious for a couple and would be perfect also for a one child family. We loved the extra large outside deck. We could see the sunset and ocean from the condo! We’ve stayed in a few different condos in Ekahi over the years and this one is our favorite!

Paradise
It was great staying in condo away from too much hustle and bustle. We had all of our amenities. Very clean and spacious enough for myself and two teenage daughters. Quick walk to beach and several pools to choose from. Close to shopping and other nice beaches as well. Our host Barbara was amazing and made sure our check in and check out process was smooth and if we needed anything to make our stay comfortable. Definitely give this a 5 star!!

Wonderful in every way!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ekahi 5B! The condo was so well appointed and perfect for us! Our granddaughter loved her “digs” - her own little room with private bath worked so well. The location to pool and beach was great. We loved sitting on the lanai every morning, looking at the ocean and listening to the singing birds. It’s obvious this Maui home has been cared for with love. Thank you for sharing it with us. We hope to return soon!!

Wonderful home away from home!
This condo is beautifully and thoughtfully outfitted. It felt more spacious than its size, and the slice of ocean view made lingering on the lanai a favorite thing to do each morning. The selection of condiments surpassed any of the Wailea condos I've stayed in, and I appreciated not having to throw out barely used non-perishables. The bed is very comfortable, and the shower was wonderful. It's apparent that the owners have taken great care to make sure guests are comfortable and can just enjoy paradise. We hope to stay in Ekahi 5B on our next trip to Maui.

Ekahi Paradise
My daughter and I stayed in Ekahi 5b for a week and loved it. The condo is just perfect. Having two full bathrooms was great. We enjoyed sitting on the Lanai listening to the birds and looking at the ocean. The location was perfect, close to the beach, village shopping area and walking path in Wailea. I hope to return and stay again with my husband!! Highly Recommend!

Fabulous Unit - Wonderful Location
We had the pleasure of enjoying 10 awesome days at the condo over Christmas. The unit exceeded our expectations in every way. So wonderfully renovated, sparkling clean & all amenities you require. Barbara & Pete certainly make you feel at home as you stay in theirs. Wake up to birds signing & drift off to sleep to the crickets chirping. Lovely view of the ocean from the lanai, perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee if you elect not to take the 2 minute stroll to the pool or walk along the beach. We had three of us, the second room & bathroom for our daughter was perfect! Should we return to Maui, will certainly endeavor to stay here again. Mahalo Barbara & Pete for helping to make our stay such an enjoyable one!

The Best of Ekahi
I thoroughly researched all the Ekahi Village condo’s before choosing this one, it was definitely the best choice possible! This is a luxury condo with everything you need, comfortable bed, upscale kitchen, quiet, big TV’s in 2 rooms, gorgeous gardens, a view of the ocean, large patio and very nicely decorated Hawaiian interior. The pool is a short walk and we really enjoyed that it had swim up seating. We keep coming back to Ekahi because the grounds are fabulously maintained but most of all because this particular stretch of beach is the best. When researching where to stay in Wailea, all of this makes Ekahi the #1 choice. The Wailea walking path along the ocean is a short walk to the south, if you travel north up the beach there is a great restaurant for breakfast that overlooks the ocean. Our favorite part of the condo was opening the doors at sunrise to hear the birds wake up and sing (this really made our day). At sunset, a crowd gathers at the beach to say goodbye to the day. This condo exceeded all our expectations. Barbara, the owner, is very communicative and easy to reach. Definitely a 5-star vacation rental with a perfect ocean location, do not pass it up.

Fantastic! Over the top!
This unit (5b) is absolutely wonderful and far surpasses any of the other many, many units we have visited at Ekahi over the past decade. It is worth every penny! Here are the specifics: 1)Barbara is a lovely owner who is super responsive and makes the booking not only easy but pleasant. 2) The unit location is one of the closest to the beach and pool. 3) Everything about this unit is over-the-top: the kitchen is chef quality; central air is unique and very much appreciated in the August heat; king bed is high end with adjustable firmness; the unit is flooded with bright and cheerful artwork and natural light. I could go on and on but would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation where you are looking to feel pampered!

Home away from home in paradise
The condo was perfect. Every detail was attended to in the condo and the owners were superb and checked on us the first day. We loved how close it was to the pool area and the private beach access which were both wonderful. The lanai was so peaceful and perfect for eating all our meals. The Wailea area is beautiful with all of the resorts and centrally located. The nearby beach board walk was a great place to do our walks and take in the beautiful sunsets.

Maui Vacation 2016
We have been to Maui several times and have stayed in the Ekahi Village a few of them. I have to say, Barb and Pete's place has absolutely everything needed for a perfect vacation stay on Maui. The condo is located in Wailea, with an easy 2 minute walk to the beautiful main pool area and the private access to the beach. The access to the condo is easy as well, being on the garden level with NO stairs. The grounds are perfectly maintained and all the workers are super friendly and helpful for any questions one might have. The place itself is beautifully appointed with top of the line appliances and storage areas, along with updated bathrooms with beautiful tile and closet space and showers with lots of water pressure! Barbara has thought of everything anyone would possibly need while staying in this paradise. The writing/computer desk, the amazing state of the art entertainment center complete with Apple TV. I also love the way everything has a label or easy to follow instructions to keep your vacation time stress free. We loved the quietness and location and we had a perfect vacation while staying at this condo. The only bad part was the day we had to leave the gorgeous Maui paradise. I would definitely like to come back every year and rent this condo. The only thing I would do differently is book more nights!

Best in Ekahi
We were extremely delighted to stay in this beautiful condo. It was my first time to Maui, so I didn't know what to expect, and although there are many sights to see and places to go, this condo is so comfortable and nicely appointed that we enjoyed our time there very much. The owners have seen to every detail, and I especially loved working in the kitchen with the beautiful garden view. Everything was very clean, well organized and just like home. We enjoyed making meals in the kitchen and then stepping out to the nice Lanai with the beautiful view to enjoy meals. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was a nice set up to work on the computer. TV and living room was nice and comfortable and the beautiful bathrooms were updated with nice showers and fluffy towels. There was nothing they missed, and it made our stay so nice. We'll be back, and we'll look no further that staying here, and in fact, I don't think I'd go if I couldn't rent this beautiful place. The owners are very nice to deal with and left so many instructions and helpful hints. This is a place for people who are particular about staying in a nice place. We can't wait to go back!!!

August Stay
My husband and I have visited Hawaii numerous times and this is our second stay at the Ekahi. For our first two trips to Maui we stayed in the Kaanapali area, but found that we prefer Wailea because it closer to everything including our favorite golf course, snorkeling excursions, and Mama's Fish House. The Ekahi village is just beautiful: the grounds are well maintained; the beach is lovely (views from there are amazing); and the main pool facility has everything one needs (fridge, ice machine, BBQ, lawn furniture and books!). Regarding 5B, it really couldn't be nicer or more comfortable. We appreciated the local art work, the fully equipped kitchen and that everything we needed for the beach was provided (chairs, umbrella, coolers, beach towels, etc.). We loved sitting out on the lanai with our morning coffee and at the end of the day before dinner. The condo location is also great - just a quick walk to the beach and pool. In comparison to our last visit to Ekahi, we were happy not to trek up and down the hill with all our beach gear. Barbara was very attentive from booking, to arrival through post-stay follow up. If you're planning a trip to Maui, I highly recommend you stay here. We are already planning our next trip back to Ekahi and are looking forward to returning to 5B! Thank you Barbara for such a lovely stay.

Perfect vacation experience
My husband and I have been coming to Maui annually for over 25 years, the last few years staying at Ekahi. The Wailea area is so beautiful and quiet compared to the Kaanapali area that we have fallen in love with it. Our first stay at 5B was absolutely perfect. The unit is beautifully appointed (obviously professionally decorated), top of the line all the way from the plush towels to the upgraded appliances. Ground floor is perfect for seniors who don’t want to deal with the stairs. It even has automatic sunscreeens to lower in the afternoon to keep the unit cooler. It is close to the main pool but the patio faces beautiful, private landscaped area with a view of the ocean. The beach in front of Ekahi is perfect for families. The Wailea are has wonderful upscale restaurants as well as excellent inexpensive ones. Barbara is very welcoming, friendly and sincerely wants you to enjoy her home. We are looking forward to our return visit.

Wonderful Experience
We have spent 1 week of our 2 week trip to Hawaii (Big Island was our second destination) in Ekahi 5B condo. It was our wedding anniversary. We traveled with our 9-year old girl. In the sea of rental options, we sure hit a jackpot! From the moment we walked in, we felt that this was our home away from home. It is very well equipped and stocked, modern yet cozy. The condo space is well laid out and offers many luxuries. The kitchen equipment is top notch. Every little thing you may need is there! The mornings are incredible – sitting with a cup of coffee on the spacious lanai, listening to the birds singing, surrounded by incredible view and ever fragrant flowers and trees, seeing the ocean and palm trees and planning the day ahead. The complex itself is maintained meticulously. It is a short walk to the pool area. The pool was never crowded – there is a plenty of lounge chairs and incredible view. The beaches right outside are the best on the island – we enjoyed swimming, snorkeling, surfboarding. The beach path, which is near by, is a great place to walk, jog, and take in the views. Overall, this is a true gem of a place, we felt safe and pampered, and very lucky to be there. Barbara is a pleasure to communicate with - she thought of everything and made us feel like we were a part of a family. We hope to return soon. Mahalo!

5B makes you wish it was yours!!!
Firstly, Thank you to Barbara and Pete for allowing us to spend the last week of our 20th anniversary in a home that made us so comfortable, it was as if we had not left our own! One look around, has you scratching your head, trying to find something the owners had left out?? Good luck! This home is absolutely beautiful. Communication with Barbara was excellent and the packet of information you receive for your stay, answers any questions you might have. Ekahi Village allows easy access to Keawakapu Beach; short walk on the beach to a paved path which ends in front of Kea Lani. You can also access the path by using Wailea Alanui Rd. sidewalk, then take the road down to the public access @ Ulua Beach. Round trip is about 4 miles. The Ekahi grounds and buildings a very well maintained. You would have no idea this neighborhood was started in the 70's.One of the main reasons we chose 5B was the design Barbara had added into the laundry and second bath area. The small Alcove bed was a surprise for our granddaughter & she absolutely loved it. It kept a smile on her face our entire stay! Local tips: Be prepared for ridiculous crowds at Costco. We wished we'd just gone to Safeway from day one. It's located in the Pi'ilani Village Shopping Center off of Piikea Rd. They also have a Starbucks and Blockbuster there. Favorite Food: Cafe O'Lei; Humuhumunukunukapua'a; Tommy Bahamas; lunch @ Deli in Kea Lani; take a drive Upcountry and eat lunch @ Kula Lodge & don't leave without visiting the gallery in the basement. Avoid Lahaina unless you like crowded, flea market like shops; however, don't miss the Banyan tree. Best Sightseeing/Hiking: Makalua-puna Point (north of Kapalua); Nakalele Blowhole; Kahakuloa Head; 'Iao Needle (the 'Iao Valley is very unique with the high peaks and beautiful mountain streams). Our stay lacked nice sunsets but we were treated to some of the prettiest rainbows ever as the afternoon mist joined the sunshine, alongside the mountains between Lahaina & Ka'anapali. The only issue we incurred was with the entertainment center. A phone call to Barbara, who called Anita (caretaker), who fixed it while we were at the pool. Awesome! Not a 5B issue, but the Beachside Pool looks very inviting, but during our stay it was so murky, you couldn't see 10 feet underwater. Enjoy one of Ekahi's 'Quiet' Pools also.
