We had a wonderful stay at the Poosa Patch. Mornings and evenings on the porch rockers were relaxing. The house had everything we needed and was well stocked in necessities. We had a great time fishing. The finches in porch and yard made it very nice with a dog. Once bedroom was big enough to put our pack and play in for our baby. We truly enjoyed this place for our first family vacation.
We had to best time! From kayaking, to relaxing on the porch, to trail walking at the military park near by. Even our 4 legged child enjoyed it! Away from it all but everything you need to relax! It was perfect!
I loved this cabin. It is very obvious this lovely cabin is well loved and is someone’s personal getaway. Not another poorly maintained rental property. Prettily and thoughtfully appointed and decorated, comfy and cozy. I can’t say enough good things about it. Oh! And the view of the river is breathtaking! I would stay again, for sure!
The Property was very clean. This home has everything you’ll need. The view from the back porch over looking the river was gorgeous. My boys caught a lot of fish on our stay. We had a great time. Would definitely stay there again.
We had a great time at the cabin on Lake Tallapoosa. The cabin was cozy with all the amenities we needed. The house was perfectly setup for dogs. They were able to roam from the fenced yard up the ramp and into the porch area. This was a big deal for us which allowed us to relax while they had more freedom. We saw blue heron, otters, turtles on the river and took a trip to the local dam. The train was unexpected, but it made our days (and nights) interesting. Thanks!
We fell in love with everything once we got to the property. The location was perfect, it had gorgeous views, very welcoming. The house was equipped with everything you need in the kitchen for cooking meals. The house was clean and smelled great. Would definitely recommend.
We were there to move our child into a local college. A bittersweet trip but made so much easier by having this location to stay at. The river melted our cares away and we were able to relax amidst all the moving chaos. We will be back for visits for sure.
We had an amazing stay here over Memorial Day. The location was great right on the river. Very peaceful and a great place to relax and unwind. Highly recommended!
I found this property as my family was in town for my nephew's wedding in Roanoke, AL and am so happy we booked! Pooja Patch is magically located right on the Tallapoosa River with stunning views! Yes, there is a very active railroad behind the house, but I have to say it was my favorite part! Whether a train was passing during the day, I felt like a kid and we jumped up and watched every one or at 4am, I felt like I was in the Polar Express. It was no problem at all! The moment we arrived, we said we cannot wait to come back for a week and enjoy the river and more R&R. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend!
Amazing, peaceful and just what we needed. The home itself was beautiful and clean. The property was everything you want when getting back to nature. Definitely will book.again.
House was clean and lovely. View of the river was spectacular. My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely. There is a CSX mainline close but it didn't bother us. We loved the river, fishing was tough for me but I am not familiar with that style fishing. The water was cool and refreshing and my dogs loved it when the water was low enough to let them in. It is off the beaten path and we had no cell service, just as info. We would love to stay again, wonderful house!!
We loved this property. Clean, private and very nice! Pet friendly was a big bonus for us. Back deck and ramp were completely fenced and gated which was awesome for us and our dogs. If you are looking to get away from the real world, this is the place to go. Highly recommend that you arrive in the daytime if at all possible as the area is VERY dark at night and difficult to locate if you are not familiar with the area. Owners were very responsive when we had trouble getting there. The train goes by frequently and has to blow its horn at the crossing which is close. We got used to it but be advised. Also, wish there was better access to the river from the property as we couldn't find an easy way in. Other than that, the cabin was fully stocked and wifi service was good. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again.

My brother Kyle and I wanted a place our family could come and enjoy the outdoors and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the every day grind. We couldn't believe when we found this gem of a property! The house is very unique with metal siding on the outside (and some on the inside too), tongue and groove pine on the interior. The river is so clean and the view changes from a full pool flowing river to rocky shoals that you can walk across to the other side. We feel very fortunate to call this property ours.
