Great Family Vacation!
We had a Great stay at the Sea Darling this past week! The house is in a nice location. There were several new renovations to the house that were really nice. The house was well stocked with just about anything you could think of including tons of stuff for little ones if needed. Valerie is a wonderful host and she was very responsive and helpful! We have been coming to Navarre Beach for about 15 years now and this is one of the best places we've stayed at. We highly recommend the Sea Darling!

Best location for Navarre Beach
This house was perfect for our family beach vacation. It is right on the beach...can't beat it. It is private. It was clean, well stocked, and had plenty of room. Decks are fantastic. Will stay again!

Amazing location
This house is amazing! The back steps lead directly to the dunes! This was my second stay. Things are really beautifully decorated- custom murals, beautiful artwork, comfy furniture. Kitchen is well stocked, including occasional personal touches. If an issue arises, the owner is quick to address them! Would certainly stay here again. Lots of local charm and fun spots to visit. Beach was quiet even on Spring Break!

Great location but the house is very dated and poorly furnished. Very uncomfortable spring beds pair well with broken deck boards and 90’s second hand furniture. Not luxurious by any stretch as advertised.

Great Stay
I thought the house looked better in person than in the pictures. We gad a group of 5 adults, 2 couples and 1 single. We had a nice relaxing stay there. As others have stated, the house and some of the furniture is showing a little age, but is a nice house and was very clean upon arrival. I absolutely loved the 2 huge covered decks. A boardwalk and or outdoor shower would have made it perfect. I think we would stay here again.

I feel like I should give an honest review. Valerie was very responsive to our questions. Her letter that explains the quirks of the property doesn't come until after you have paid the entire balance. The location is perfect. The proximity to the beach is great. The photos need to be updated. A lot of the wooden furniture on the deck is falling apart and the family room furniture is very worn and broken down. I couldn't comfortably sit on it. We luckily brought our own chairs for the deck and sat at the nice, large dining room table. The handle to operate the shower in the jack and Jill bathroom is very loose and about to fall off. The house is a full time rental and is showing its age some. Overall it was very clean and we loved the views! We would rent it again.

Awesome Getaway
Valerie was a wonderful hostess - very helpful, responsive and truly invested in making sure we had a great time. The house was perfect for us - comfortable, well-appointed kitchen, beautiful views, great decks, and private beach. It is well decorated yet at the same time didn’t make you feel paranoid that you’d break something. Most days we spent time on the beach and we also went to Destin and Gulf Breeze a couple of afternoons since they were close. We cooked most meals at the house and had all the dishes, pots, pans, utensils, etc that we needed. The beds and bathrooms were spacious and provided plenty of room to store our things. The upper and lower decks were our favorite places to hang out (when not at the beach!). Both had unobstructed views of the emerald green and blue waters - a great way to start and end each day. Thank you, Valerie!

Wonderful SECOND vacation at Sea Darling
Last year was so great, we decided to come back again this year and celebrate my husband's 40th birthday at the beach. Our stay this year was just as impeccable as last year. The home is immaculate and furnished with everything you will need! We love the Sea Darling and Valerie! She is an amazing host with an incredible property. We can't wait to come back!!

Wonderful beach!
Relaxing, beautiful beach! Owner responded to all concerns in a timely manner. Addition of a walkover to beach and outside shower would make it perfect. Front and back steps outside are steep. Great location!

Family Vacay
The location of this property was wonderful...accessible to beach and bay. After confirming my reservation, with no refundable deposit, the additional terms and conditions presented led me to believe the house was well appointed and almost meticulously serviced. The house, however, is desperately in need of a thorough cleaning(mold and mildew was evident around ventilation grates), painting, and replacing the living room furniture. The bathroom towels were worn and the master bedroom wash cloths were not clean. The kitchen, though well appointed, lacked organization. The kitchen utensils and cookware were mismatched, worn, and damaged. The area under the house was not organized well, the hoses (3) were split(thus rinsing off after the beach was really difficult). Also, the charcoal grills need to be replaced. There were two problems that arose while we were there and the owner did respond promptly and had service technicians come out. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. The weather was perfect and the views lovely. We simply made the decision to make it happy.

Amazing View & Uncrowded Beach
Owner communication is excellent. Spacious house with beautiful view from two large decks facing the gulf. The house is located on the end of Navarre Beach away from the towers, so it's almost like having a private beach. Very relaxing trip.

Great spot in Navarre
Me and my family enjoyed our time at Valerie's beach house. It was our first time in Navarre and renting a beach house instead of a condo in Destin. The booking was a breeze and she was quick to get in touch and check if we had questions. The property was definitely on the older side and a bit dated but served its purpose. The kitchen was plentiful in supplies but I will say, the coffeemaker needs to be replaced because it was not very clean or reliable when I used it. The HVAC ran well, the laundry was efficient and the Wifi was spotty but worked overall. The light switch situation is funky, be prepared to play the 'what does this one go to' game. We never could locate the switch for the back porch facing the ocean so we assumed they just were not working. The hammock that is shown in the pictures is not there anymore, it broke recently according to the owner. Also, a big turn off for me was that all of our neighbors had a boardwalk to get to the beach but we did not. There are little shell pieces that are painful if one gets your feet and the hill is a workout day after day. Speaking to the cleanliness of the property, it was cosmetically fine but we noticed by day 3 that the bottom of our feet were dirty from walking barefoot in the house and wore socks or sandals for the rest of the time. Another area that was a workout was the sliding door. I am not sure when the last time it was cleaned out but it was not easy to open and close. We did find the spray under the sink but since we were paying a 250 dollar cleaning fee, we left it for them to clean the sand and gunk out. Location was more than ideal. The drive down the National Seashore was beautiful. Being sandwiched between Destin and Pensacola was neat. The beach was significantly less crowded than Destin, which was a nice change for us. Make sure you go visit the crabs on the beach at night and look up at the beautiful stars due to the limited light pollution at the house. My family had a great time in Navarre and it was nice to try a beach house versus a condo for the first time. Valerie, thank you for renting out your property.

We had a wonderful vacation at Sea Darling. Beautiful house, and right there on the ocean. Needs a little updating, as in rugs, touch up painting. New sofa and New bedspreads. Just modernizing it. But loved it!!!! I would highly recommend.

We absolutely love staying at this house. This was our second time, and everything was wonderful. I was able to rent umbrellas from one of the beach rental companies so every morning my beach spot was already set up for me. This is the perfect spot to relax!

Enchanting view
Myself, husband, daughter and 2 of my daughter’s friends stayed in this amazing home. The views are second to none. We chose this place because I have health issues and the girls were able to go down to the beach without me and I could watch them from the upstairs. The home was clean and not even a spec of sand inside upon arrival. I’d say to be sure to leave the housekeeper a great tip when you leave as she’s talented if she can clean up every spec of sand. Valerie, the homeowner will help you in most ways and maybe even accommodate unusual requests, if possible. She will reiterate things so you’ll always be in the know. Navarre is super close to the action that Okaloosa Island and Destin offer while giving you a private feel at the home. My Australian Shepard had a wonderful time as well. She’s my therapy animal so she spent time on the beach while my husband fished and played fetch at the sound. Yes, the beach is your backyard and the sound is a stones throw in your front yard. We had 2 major storms come in that prevented us from enjoying the beach as often as we’d have liked but the house was solid as 20-40 mph winds (gusts that were much higher) blew thru. Normal days on the panhandle are calm and barely a wave in sight. The king bed upstairs held me for many hours but that was plenty ok with me since I could open the sliding glass doors and have the beach inside with me. We love the panhandle so much that we are already planning another trip back to an area close by. You won’t regret visiting or staying in this lovely home. It’s cozy and relaxing!!

Family time at the beach
We very much enjoyed the laid back atmosphere of Navarre Beach. The wide open white sand beach was delightful to walk on and the biking/walking path outside the front door was an added bonus. The house was more than adequate for us with lovely porches for watching the waves and getting away for a quiet spot to read. Everything we needed was provided for our 7 day stay.

Our Forever Beach Home Rental!!! Cozy, Comfortable, Relaxing, Perfect😁
What a perfect beach home!!! We felt so at home here. The kitchen is large, plenty of room for 2 cooks... Large dining room table... the living room is so cozy with large overstuffed furniture. Everything was so comfortable and relaxing. The master bedroom upstairs is breathtaking with two large sliding glass door that open to a fully covered deck. The master bed faces the beach so each morning you wake up to views of paradise! Very nice spacious master bath. Plenty of space to unpack and stay awhile. Ms. Valerie is the most gracious host! From her recommendations of restaurants to the best times to fish, everything was spot on and amazing! We have been visiting Navvare for several years and we have fallen in love with the Sea Darling! It has quickly become our forever beach home!!

Great Views!
Our first visit to Navarre Beach! The views from the house are great! Enjoyed beach walking many times during our month's stay. We enjoyed learning about this area of Florida and did some fun things, tried some new restaurants, met up with friends. Everything was great! The night before we were scheduled to leave, however, I wanted to check if we should strip the beds, etc. (with a $250 cleaning fee, I didn't think I'd be asked to wash all the bedding and all the used towels). That was a disappointing way to end our stay!

Fourth Stay at this Absolutely Beautiful Beach House! We Love It! Fabulous Sunrises and Sunsets from All Rooms and Decks... Seaside Home Away From Home...Wonderful Family Memories. We'll Come Again and Again! Our family returns again and again to this fabulous beach house - it's a perfect beach retreat and unlike any other place we've ever stayed. Sea Darling is absolutely lovely in every way! The owner is superb, honest, responsive, so friendly, takes great care of guests, and goes out of her way to make sure they have a memorable vacation. The decor, furnishings, and art are gorgeous; elegant "Coastal Living" with a feel of openness and being "home", with wonderful art pieces everywhere. The expansive ocean views, sunrises, and sunsets from every room and both decks (and so close to the ocean) make you feel like you're almost living on the sea, and are so relaxing. Comfortable beds and furniture plus huge covered decks with tons of seating and outdoor dining table made everyone so happy and relaxed, plus provided protection from sun after sunny beach days, and allowed us to be outside even when it rained. The house and decks are large with lots of private space for two families. The large front and side yards provide tons of space for kids to run, dig, fly kites, play volleyball, badminton, and beach games within view of adults. The house is very well equipped - everything you could need i the kitchen (much more than other houses), lots of books, board games, movies, toys and beach toys for both children and adults. Our children adore this house, too, with so much sea-themed art, murals, outdoor equipment, books, and toys dedicated to children. We'll return again and again! Our seaside home away from home!
