Exactly what we were looking for! Indoor stove ready to go upon our arrival. Very cold weekend but the stove works really well to keep it warm inside. Gas grill outside. Everything you need to do basic cooking inside. Would absolutely stay again!
Beautiful slice of heaven on the creek. Lots of wildlife and close enough to downtown that you can have a nice night out or just light a fire and enjoy nature.
Cute little cozy stay for a few days to enjoy some peace and quiet around the beach area. It was great being able to drive around the area and see the scenery.
Super chill and relaxing. It was nice not to have all the amenities from day to day life. A true eye opener to the kids. Couldn’t ask for a more relaxing down to old times experience.
It is pretty basic, but equiped with all necessities and nicely put together. A cozy cabin with a lot of history.
No street noise, no neighbor noise! Just woods, fields and creeks and all their critters. Good place to write, read and rest. No screens. Best for a small family, close friends or a couple. Not much privacy amongst the guests, but very private from the rest of the world! My husband and I loved it and hope to return!
So going back through a field to this little cabin on the water was great. Super quiet. Built a fire outside for a bit. The town was very nice , the people were nice .A little tricky as it uses solar power. Very nice . Definitely would go back.
This cabin is absolutley perfect and everything you need. Plenty of firewood for both the fire pit and wood burning stove. I loved being able to use my cast iron skillets on the wood stove inside cabin. We did not use the outdoor shower as did not feel necessary because nice and cool outside. Being conscience with conserving power was a nice disconnect to sit by fire and candlelight all night!! Our pups enjoyed the new smells too! A perfect spot to take a day trip into Ocean City and Deleware as well. Absolutely beautiful and would love to come back again with the Parents! Thank you again!!

Off grid
When they say off grid, I thought it meant a location away from everyone. Never did I think it was solar until I booked it. Outside shower was horrible. We couldn’t figure out oven couldn’t cook anything. Power went out through night and all of our food in refrigerator was bad the next morning.
We both loved our stay but my wife REALLY loved it and wants to return. She used the kayak and went to the left and paddled her little heart ll the way to a marina (no clue which one). Every morning she would be at the bench down the path to the right. She drank her coffee there, called her mom and watched the wildlife swim or hear them. My two highlights were walking 9 holes at Captains Cove Golf...very challenging course with water on 7 of the 9 holes and it was only $20. My most rewarding time was spending time with my 80 year old pastor that led me to the Lord in 1981. He remembered me but unfortunately he has dementia and his wife has Parkinsons. I could write a lot more but Terri & Greg are fantastic hosts and the place has everything you need. One of the most embarrassing things happened to me & hopefully lesson learned. My wife was kayaking and so it was around 4:00pm and time for a shower. All went well until I went to the sliding glass door and found that it was locked. The front door was locked too. So there I was with just a towel wrapped around me and so I grabbed a ladder and proceeded to go through the master bedroom window. My towel slipped off once and every animal started laughing (embellishment). It's a laughable experience and Terri called it a "comedy sketch". You'll love it!
On the hottest week of the summer and through two magnificent storms, we were comfortable and relaxed in the off-grid cabin in this special place, with wildlife/river-life, secluded but close to the historic town of Onancock (oh-NAN-ka:k, finally learned to pronounce it on our final day there). Since our visit, we are determined to get our own outdoor shower. Wish we had booked a longer stay—
