About this property

SkyView, Romantic Cabin Perched High Above a Secluded Trout Stream, Winter Rates

Winter rates till Apr 1

The SkyView Treehouse, is nestled in the splendor of the Blue Ridge Mountains., creating just the right setting for your romantic celebration. Perfect for an elopement, vow renewal, mini-moon, honeymoon or a wedding anniversary.

One senses that the outside and inside converge via the view from the fully outfitted king-sized bedroom, and the softened green walls reflect the richness of nature. Your natural connection continues with the soothing sound of the Big Laurel Stream. The talent of local artisans along with those from the mid-west add a sense of tranquility. The kitchen has all the essentials for a snack or full meal. The deck is hard to leave given the view, by day and the stars at night as you enjoy a glass of wine around the propane tabletop fire pit. If you desire a wood-burning fire pit to gather around, that is an option as well. SkyView is a magical place to just be or for a special occasion.

RiverDance sits in the gated community of Bear River Lodge in rural Madison County, "A Jewel of the Blue Ridge." literally five minutes from the spa town of Hot Springs., where you can soak in the mineral water at the spa. The Big Laurel Stream runs thru it, and you have access to a private trout stream. We ask that you only catch and release, and you need a fishing license, which is available in Hot Springs.

A recent guest, who has been to SkyView multiple times, summarizes their description in three words: Quaint, Rejuvenating, and Heavenly. What could be better?

Great little cabin with a stunning view! My wife and I along with our two furbabies wanted to disappear into the mountains over the 4th of July week and this cabin was perfect! The hosts live next door and are available should you need anything at all during your stay!

As our youngest headed to college, it was time to strive for some new adventures and the magical mountains of North Carolina called us to make Bear River our full-time home. Why not open our first timber frame home, named RiverDance, to guests, so they too, could enjoy the amazing beauty that is so much part of this very special place? It came time to simplify our lives two years ago with less square footage so that we could spend more time with family and grandchildren. So, once again we carried RiverDance forward to 55 Laurel Ridge. Both SkyView and RiverHaven have been designed to create an exceptional mountaintop experience for our guests. It’s a great place to call home as you venture out to explore all that Western Carolina has to offer. Welcome to RiverDance your mountain getaway

Why they chose this property

SkyView Treehouse is a perfect choice for that secluded romantic time away to celebrate a special occasion , or just for a much needed get away. On the approach, you will be drawn to this stand alone retreat by its striking red mid-west color. Walk across the sky bridge unto your own personal deck space with views all the way to Tennessee. It will be hard to leave, but there is much to explore in the area. The soft green color, pulls the outside in, as sunlight floods through the window wall. Antiques, along with local and mid-west artists adorn the walls making you feel right at home. A full, well appointed bathroom, complete with heated floors, tiled shower, skylight, and designer vanity will be appreciated after a day of outdoor adventure. Fix a full meal or just a snack, in a kitchen that has everything you need. Cozy up indoors with the propane Buck stove or outside under the stars, with a table top propane fire pit for a little bit of ambiance. If you prefer a wood burning fire pit that is an option as well. The king bedroom is ever so comfy with that view front and center.
