We loved the beach my decor and the coziness of the house! The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the screened-in porch was lovely. The location was fabulous! We enjoyed being able to walk to restaurants and shops. One thing that I didn’t realize was that the 4th bedroom and second bathroom were in the basement! Also there were crumbs and dust in some corners. Overall really liked it though!
Location and the place was divine. Much bigger with more amenities than I had expected. Great outdoor porches. There was evena parade down the street in front of us.
If you need to stay or visit the hospital it is across the street. An EZ commute to the Emergency room.
This was our first time visiting Lewes and we had a great time. Cute old house! The house is on a busy main street, so the porch is not quiet, but our little kids loved watching the ambulances drive by! The house main surfaces and areas where you walked were clean, but if you are very particular it was dusty under and behind stuff. And the vacuums were old and did not really work
Home was very nice. I always look for places that have comfortable common spaces and this place had that. The living room had enough seating and was comfortably arranged. There is also a nice front porch facing the street with good seating and then finally a screened in side porch with comfortable furniture. We really enjoyed our stay and found the location to our liking. You can easily walk to the shops and restaurants in Lewes. Would definitely book again.
Laid back, relaxing beach escape away from hustle-bustle of commercial beach towns.
This is a quaint cottage-type home, nicely decorated, plenty of separate spaces (indoor and out) for guests to gather (we had 6 adults and 3 kids), easy parking for 3+ cars. Clean property, comfortable beds, outdoor faucet to wash off sand. Walking distance to many lovely restaurants, shops, free or inexpensive museums, close to Savannah beach which is great for kids due to very little waves. The streets are picturesque with lovely plants/ flowers. We’ll be back with our bikes to explore the trails.
My fiancé and I along with our parents stayed here for a weekend to explore Lewes. The home is cozy, well-furnished, and comfortably accommodated the five of us. It was a great home base!
The host was very relaxed. We had an Early check-in and it was no issue. The location is exactly where you want to be visiting Downtown Lewes. Park the car and walk the town. We all had a great time. I definitely recommend the place and I will be staying there again.
Great to be in-town for this price at such a cute house - really nicely decorated for the beach! So close to downtown Lewes - we could all walk and bike where we wanted, then a quick and easy drive to the beach.
This property is a great place to stay for a Lewes trip! It sleeps many, has a wonderful screened in porch, has walking access to town and great coffee shops, and near a walking/biking trail. Lloyd market is a few blocks away with the largest small grocery selection of items if you've forgotten something or want to cook an entire meal. Check-in/out was very easy and times for check-in/out were VERY reasonable. We look forward to staying here again!
Very comfortable and cozy. Only problem was being across from the hospital, the front bedroom was bothered by ambulance lights in the night. They did not Blare their sirens, But the lights were disturbing to the person trying to sleep in that room.
We loved our stay here. We came as a family of four (tween and teen boys) and it was wonderful to have plenty of beds to spread out for privacy. This home has many gathering locations: living room, dining area, screened porch and front porch. The location is amazing - town and beautiful neighborhoods/parks are easily within walking distance. The kitchen was very well stocked and there was a great local grocery story within walking distance. We would stay here again. We enjoyed Lewes' charming town, geocaches, walkable neighborhoods, great restaurants, interesting history, Cape Henlopen Park and beaches. There was something for all of us!
Spacious home in a great location - Lewes is worth the visit!
The home was spacious and well-equipped for our stay. It was very clean and well looked after. Very convenient location with a short stroll to the main part of historic Lewes - we had a wonderful time exploring the city and surrounds. House also had a beautiful porch and deck which would be fantastic in the warmer months. Overall, great value for money especially given the size and number of beds.
Stayed here with my wife and kids and had more than enough space. Kitchen had everything you needed. Just a great house with a driveway that could fit two cars if needed. Fantastic location in heart of Lewes, walk to restaurants, shops, the canal and a little longer walk to the beach if you wanted to. The owners were very responsive to all our questions. Great time!
