We are California natives who recently relocated and enjoy hosting here.

We are onsite hosts, but our guests have their privacy! You might see me out in the large field with my dogs in the morning.

We have one Nest camera on the outside of the house facing the driveway. This is for guest safety. There are no interior cameras!

The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. We provide farm fresh eggs, milk, cream, cereals, lots of coffee, tea and hot chocolate and random snacks.
There is a small grocery store about 7 miles away and more evolved grocery store such as Sprouts and Publix 25 minutes away.

Like coming home.

I feel so welcomed and comfortable at Long and Low farm. It's like coming home if home is spotlessly clean, the kitchen stocked with staples and good quality appliances, pans, etc. The bedrooms are private with comfortable beds and high end bedding. The well maintained grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed the hiking trails on the property. I hope to stay there again.

Respite in the country

I endeavor this year to spend more time taking advantage of my remote work by traveling to visit old friends. This is to spend more time with the people and in the places and doing the things that make my eyes light up. This property fit the bill! I had a lovely reunion with two dear friends in the area. The excellent WiFi allowed me to get my work done while also enjoying the birds in the morning and the fireflies at night. BEST place ever!!

Loved it so much we extended our stay

No complaints! Owners communication was great. We needed a vet during our stay for non emergency issue, felt completely comfortable asking Jody for her opinion and she was really helpful.Property, inside and out, was wonderful. We could let our dogs outside anytime, supervised of course, and never once did anyone or anything bother them. Felt safe walking around the property and appreciated the trail map. PEACEFUL and beautiful area to chill, take pictures, walk or drive around. If we visit again we will check in 1st before going to store as the kitchen is well stocked and thoughtful. We loved the game table! Thanks so much

Peaceful Getaway in Rural Tennessee

Four of us (two couples) stayed at this charming house for four days. We had a few questions prior to arrival and they answered very quickly. The house was clean and had every convenience we needed. The milk, eggs, cereal and extra snacks were very welcome! There was even a pizza in the freezer in case we arrived late and were hungry. Mornings and Evenings on the patio were amazing and peaceful. In the evenings, the mist rolled in and it became a bit mysterious and somewhat spooky (which we enjoyed). The fireflies were an extra treat as we do not see them back home in Colorado. We totally loved every minute we spent here, wished it could have been longer. We never got a chance to take a walk on the trails, but hope to come again soon! Love the name, Long & Low as we have a dachshund too. If we could give ten stars we would.

Great country cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were told that the cottage is 1400 square feet, but the layout made it seem much larger. The furnishings were very nice and the place was well stocked with all we needed for snacks and meal accompaniments. We were greeted with a personalized sign and homemade chocolate chip cookies plus treats for our dog! There were plenty of activities available, but we mostly relaxed in the quiet country environment. And you are DEFINITELY in the country, on a farm surrounded by other farms. However, there's a small town within 15-20 minutes with the basics you'd need and you're only about 45 minutes from Murfreesboro. Any time we had questions the owner got back to us quickly, usually within a few minutes.

Im a California native who recently relocated to middle Tennessee on this 46 acre farm. We have hay, vegetables, and fruit trees.
I have working dachshunds and attend a lot of sport performance events with them.
I’m a retired psychologist who has written 2 kids picture books.
I am an AKC performance judge as well.

Why they chose this property

This property was purchased sight unseen mid pandemic! It’s a peaceful place, very slow paced.

What makes this property unique

Enjoy the lovely sunsets from the porch, watch the wildlife in the early morning. You may see deer, skunks, wild turkeys, otters in the creek, lots of birds and much more.
Walk the trail up into the woods, search the creek for unique rocks or geodes, or simply sit on the porch and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets.

The guest house is visible from the main house but very private. We don't "meet" guests unless the guest requests this or we meet organically outside on the property.
420 friendly, outside only please ;)
