Cute house
Older home from outside but nicely updated inside. Home bigger than expected. Great location. Couple minutes to Travelers Rest, and Furman, and yet by itself. Nice paved 20 mile rail trail (bike, walking) beside property. Host was good to chat with and left nice touches for us. Our dogs liked the big yard. Tv had lots of local channels but didn't seem to have cable so we missed some college sports Saturday. We also ran out of hot water after 2 showers. Overall, a great experience and we will consider next time we're in the area.

Fun Anniversary Weekend
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary over a weekend and a Monday at Rabbit Roost and had a great time. We didn't realize what a huge benefit the location of the property is - literally right on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Each morning we got up early and took our dog for a walk, right out the front door, no driving, getting things in the car, etc., so easy. We walked with our dog to Traveler's Rest and back each morning, then after crating her we would walk back to TR for breakfast. One way to town is about a 25-30 minute walk, easy trail and shaded most of the way. My wife and I are in our early 50's and in fairly good shape and it was no problem and very relaxing. Back home by 9:00 am each day and then we would head to Greenville to spend the day. Again, the location of the property is the key. We could get to downtown Greenville in 15-20 minutes to the Farmer's Market, shops, and restaurants. We also hopped over to Paris Mountain to do some trail walking, again very easy to get to. The house is very clean and had everything we needed. The owners added nice touches with helpful notes and guidebook for reference. There was some construction in the back of the property but we weren't there much during the day so it didn't bother us. There are chickens on the property, and my wife absolutely loved them. She gathered eggs each day and spent time with them, they are very friendly. There is one bathroom on the small side, so if you have a larger group just know there may be some planning to do before going out, etc. Not a problem for us at all with just the 2 of us. We would definitely go back and actually are thinking about next year. Again, I can't say enough about the location, it's a perfect place whichever way you want to go to explore the area, downtown Greenville, the mountains, Dupont State Park, more. Thank you Jessie for a great time! Tim & Sarah
