Oftentimes, when we actually get to the place we find it falls short of the carefully chosen pictures of the property. In this case, the property and accommodations were better than the pictures. All of the the materials and features within the room were top notch (The only thing that I would recommend upgrading is the coffee maker). One thing I was concerned with before we went was how much privacy we would have given that the individual places were next to each other but this was not a problem at all, it felt like we were the only place out there. The hosts were very responsive. We were only able to go for one night but next time I would like to go for two.
My husband and I spent three nights and absolutely loved it!! We didn’t want to leave. The property has 4 large tents and sits on a hill overlooking the valley toward Spicewood. It is about 1/2 mile off the main road on a winding road but Google maps brought us straight there. While it feels remote, there is a grocery store/gas stations about 10 miles away in Largo Vista, or you can go into Marble Falls.
Your space will have a coded door that opens onto a large wrap-around deck surrounded by tall fencing so you feel very secluded and private. Like your own little tree house. The tent itself was beautifully appointed, comfortable and had everything we needed. Such thought went into every detail. Bed was comfortable and the shower was great. The kitchenette has a small refrigerator, a single serve coffee pot with coffee supplies, microwave and a single electric hot plate for cooking so we had simple meals which was perfect for us. Kitchen has everything you need, but there is a bbq just steps away in the common area you can use for larger meals. It has a great fit pit area, outdoor dining and bar that would be great if you have friends and/or family staying with you. We did watch TV a bit, but mainly spent our time reading and enjoying the peace and quiet.
Loved everything about this little hideaway and can’t wait to go back!!! Thank you Mark and Leslie for an amazing stay.
Everything was what you’d expect from luxury accommodations - very well done with an incredible view. Unfortunately the acoustics were such that we could hear the neighbors TV like it was in our tent. Recommended for large parties where you can occupy 2 or all 4 tents.
Stunning sunset views and well appointed amenities. Comfortable and relaxing way to spend a weekend. My wife celebrated 22 years of marriage and can’t wait to return.
My husband and I had a fabulous weekend stay at Glamping on the Rocks. Our host, Mark and Leslie thought of everything. We relaxed on our private balcony and enjoyed the view of nature at its finest. The tents were beautiful! We slept comfortably in a king size bed, we had a full bath and a kitchenette. We took advantage of the outdoor community grill and fire pit. The property is s hidden gem. We will definitely be returning!
We loved everything about it! To the nature right outside the window. To the comfort and warmth, it provided. 10/10 recommended for a time away from the kids. Peace and quiet. It was a little far from Austin downtown. But once getting to the spot. and taking the time to wonder off, totally worth every dollar.
