The Reserve: Bourbon Country's Luxury Pool Estate

Welcome to The Reserve, your Central Kentucky luxury estate on seven gated acres of private bluegrass and minutes from the idyllic bourbon distilleries & charming beauty of Lexington.

Your estate features nine opulent bedrooms, seven custom bathrooms, & multiple living and dining areas for group celebrations. The lower level of the main estate showcases an enormous bourbon country recreation area featuring custom granite and stone bar, full sized pool table, shuffleboard table, poker and foosball tables, and an adjacent 20 seat movie theater.

The centerpiece of the estate grounds is a custom 20X40 heated inground pool open 365 days a year and electronically heated to 88-90 degrees at all times.

Your outdoor aquatic oasis area also features an eight person Jacuzzi spa with custom jets and lighting heated to 102 degrees at all times and lounge with al fresco dining seating for up to 30 guests.

The Reserve is a member of The Farm, LLC's Premiere Luxury Estate Collection. Guests of The Reserve have access to The Farm, LLC's specialty amenities and concierge planning services.

Our specialty amenities include private behind the scenes VIP bourbon country excursions in our late model 15 passenger vans, onsite culinary experiences with custom meal service, & private security and nanny services.

This company is bankrupt, property not as advertised - fraudulent scam

We booked our stay here initially through vrbo and this property is managed through The Farm, LLC. This was booked as a Bourbon Trail vacation for my parents 60th birthday & 40th wedding anniversary .The sole reason we booked this property with The Farm, LLC was for their promised exclusive tours days with transportation and luxury accommodations. We booked and paid for two full tour days and they never follow through on that.They took our money and left us high and dry. the property is in disrepair and wasn’t clean and ready for renters. It’s was a nightmare vacation. They stopped communicating with us and left us to scramble. Many amenities are in disrepair, including the following: The fridge bottom drawer was broken and wouldn't pull out. The dishwasher was broken and wouldn’t close with the bottom rack in it. We hand washed dishes most of the stay because of that and had to go buy a sponge to do so due to lack of any dish cloths. The large cutting board was stuck to a sticky mouse trap in the pantry. There were bugs above the stove, the ice maker in the basement did not function, the sound system and projector did not work. The furniture certainly does not match the photos. The entire back patio was dirty and covered in damage from a beetle infestation. Barely any towels and there was mold growing in the ceiling. Pool was not heated and water in hot tub was over due for a change by several months. stains all over the carpet plus so many more issues. DO NOT BOOK!

Great home, poor execution of activity booking

As far as the home and stay itself we had a fabulous experience. There were 12 adults and we all had comfortable accommodations and could very easily spread out. The large kitchen and grill were lovely. The pool and hot tub were nice touches. Location was excellent. Con’s- there was no EV charger as advertised. There are ample 120V outlets in the garage, so we charged with those, but would have been nice to know there was no EV charger. Typically in past rentals, there is cooking oil and a few spices. This house had none of those, so beware and purchase everything you may need if you intend to cook here! There was no shampoo, conditioner and only a bar of soap per bathroom. No big deal, just prepare ahead of time. Additionally there was only one towel per person; not a big deal unless you are a person who uses several towels during a stay (we are not). In all, the house was great and we would definitely stay again, albeit a bit more prepared next time. The biggest downside to this property was the “concierge/activity bookings” that are offered. Our group of 12 used The Farm services to do a horse farm tour one day and a bourbon tour the next. We paid several hundreds PP and the Farm forgot about our horse tour until we reminded them at 9pm the night before, so the tour was loosely executed. Definitely use other services or book excursions on your own. Would not recommend using the Farm for excursions.

Excellent staff and plenty of things to do

The property was exactly as advertised; our family loved the double refrigerator and double islands in the kitchen. I especially appreciated the lighted makeup mirror in the primary bedroom. The staff was very nice and helpful. The listing does not show pictures of the pool and grill area but it is a nice space. We found the house was positioned just right so you can see a beautiful sunset every evening from the primary bedroom, living room, pool area, and kitchen. There were plenty of supplies (towels, paper towels, etc.) for our group for a weekend stay. Overall we had an excellent time and captured some phenomenal pictures.

Wonderful stay!

We had a great time staying at this property! There was plenty of space for our group of 15. The kids loved the pool and the game room. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. It was relaxing just being able to sit outside and enjoy the quiet. The only feedback I would provide is what has been mentioned in previous reviews. It would be great if instructions provided for things like the theater room projector and the automated blinds. We eventually figured them out with some help from Candace, but it would be nice to have the info when starting your stay. Also, while the cleaning staff did a great job getting the house ready for us, it could use a good deep cleaning.

Review

Overall the stay was good, however, there were several things over our 3 day stay that could have been better. The pool was dirty and not heated when we arrived. We cleaned it the best we could since the kids were itching to get in! The air conditioning was not working and the master suite was 78 degrees for our first afternoon, night and a portion of the 2nd day. The dishwasher was broken and we had to call on that. The media for the theater was quite complicated and had to call for instructions. It would be helpful if you had something posted on how to use it. We only had 4 washcloths for the house and had to call for more. Candace was on top of things each time we called but we spent our 3 days there constantly contacting her.

Amenity heaven!

This property has everything, and then some, to make your stay enjoyable. You literally don’t have to leave the place to be entertained. And for large groups, there is so much space so you never feel like you are on top of each other. The processes before, during and after our stay are excellent. The one thing we would say could be improved is an upgrade on some things and a good deep cleaning.

Wonderful!

Heated pool so swam in December and enjoyed hot tub. Plenty of room. Great for adults and children. Huge kitchen and refrigerators. TV’s in many room with big screens. No complaints. Candace was great and available around the clock.

What a great property and memorable experience! Chef Makeiah’s southern feasts were 5 star! The Bourbon Excursion was bucket list worthy! The surprise bash for my husbands BD was incredible- friends and family had a great time especially with the lower level game room. The house is sprawling and everyone had their own private space. Can’t say enough great things about the concierge service- top notch and responsive property manager. No wonder this property is constantly booked. Loved every minute of our stay!

Bourbon Country Trip

This house is amazing. We had nine guys on our trip so everyone had their own room. Master suite was huge with a huge bathroom. Check-in was a breeze. Very convenient to Lexington. Amenities were great and our driver for two days (Carla) was excellent. Having the van available to drive us around made touring a lot easier. Haven't seen the price we were able to get, but it was cheaper than a hotel and so much nicer. Would love to come back with my family but looking ahead the rates we got this time aren't available anymore. Definitely recommend.

My extended family and I rented this property for a long weekend and it was wonderful! This is a great property and management company. Everything was clean, the house was exactly as described, and the beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend for anyone considering staying in the area that needs more space.

The home is very nice, we ran into a few problems but communicated to the owner. Lexington was amazing! If you need a good lunch spot you must go to Dad's Favorite. If you need dinner, go to Agave & Rye!

Quick Friend's Getaway

This property was perfect for what we were looking for in our stay. Plenty of space for privacy and it was quiet with a beautiful outdoor area. Bonus, the outdoor pool was heated making it comfortable for the fall weather. All beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. While we had all couples, this is a great place for kids as well. They have all of the amenities to accommodate families. The staff was awesome to work with and very responsive (Candace, Olivia, Kayla). We had a chef (Becky) come in and cook dinner for us. It was a perfect night with delicious food. Seriously, every part of the meal was perfect. Thank you Becky. Already talking about booking our trip next year.

Perfect home for our trip!

The house is amazing. Completely custom. Beautifully decorated. High end furniture and decor made a large space feel very homey. Staff were friendly, and stopped by daily to check on the pool and were happy to assist with a small grill issue. Bedding was GREAT! Kitchen was well appointed, even to cook for a large group. The living space was just what we needed for our use. Gaming / movie area was a great addition that we used more than i thought we would. Heated pool was awesome. Sleeping area (detached from the house) wasn’t described very well on the ad, but added a level of privacy that is unmatched. We would 100% use this home again, and have already booked our next trip with this company.

Amazing fabulous house!

What a great property! So beautiful and huge! So perfect for our group of 5 couples….with lots of room to spare. Great pool, hot tub and patio area. The kitchen and living room area are big open spaces where we could all get together. Host was amazing and responsive to any questions we had. The house was clean and all the extra amenities provided were a big plus!

We are all 70

A group of 12 college friends celebrating our 70th birthdays. The house is spacious, the pool and outdoor space were great, well equipped kitchen with plenty of dishes and glassware, nice location, comfortable beds, nice bathrooms. Really a fun place to be. It was nice and quiet but still close to fun things in Lexington area. We were extremely happy with Candace, Cody, Steve, and anyone he had contact with during our stay.

Kentucky Couples Trip

Our group of 14 stayed here for our annual couples trip. Everything was exactly as described. Beautiful and spacious, well stocked kitchen, entertainment options downstairs, plus the pool and hot tub outside. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

Family reunion

Our family had a wonderful holiday weekend. The accommodations were perfect. The kitchen had enough place settings for 50 even though we were only 14. They really do cover all the bases and checked in via text to make sure we had everything we needed. Great stay and would like to come back next year but it is already booked:(

Family Reunion

Amazing place. We were an extended family of 21, ages 11 months to 73 years (3 generations). We visited during the August heat so the pool was in use multiple times each day. The game tables and theater were a big hit for the kids. The estate provided high chairs, cribs and lots of pool toys and beach towels. Plenty of space to spread out or gather as a large group. Our manager was a text away and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this property.

Absolutely gorgeous

First Crystal and Beth were sensational. The first few days we needed a few things addressed and they took care of them immediately. From refilling the propane tanks to resetting the Wi-Fi. They were polite and professional. The only thing and I mean the only thing is the bedroom layout does not reflect the same on vrbo. Example Murphy beds ?? There are none !!! I will check the sight again to be sure. However, we made it work. If you left hungry or not fully recharged it was your own fault. Thank you again we will be returning.

Great place for a family vacation.

The Reserve was a great location for our family. It was close to everything we needed from restaurants, golf courses, shopping and amusement parks. The pool and the hot tub were big hits along with the theatre and recreation area. One bummer was the basketball goal being broken. John was very responsive to our needs and kept us informed about our questions. There were a couple of maintenance issues that need to be addressed such as a leaky kitchen sink and some loose roofing that made noise in a bedroom when breezy. The basement was much cooler than the rest of the house, and we could never find the right setting on both systems to keep everyone happy. Overall, a great property and one we would definitely “RESERVE” again.

Annual Family Vacation

We had an amazing time staying in this beautiful property! The heated pool and hot tub were a hit with the kids ages 5-11 as well as the adults. The back porch provides plenty of shade and was great for relaxing evenings! The game room in the basement also provided lots of fun! The house was immaculate and well cared for. The host, John was so welcoming and helpful. We used the dining services and can’t say enough good things about Chef Macy. Her food was delicious and she was so friendly and left the kitchen spotless. There is so much space for several families to spread out and have their own wing. We made some fond memories with our adult kids and grandkids! Highly recommend staying here!!

Our annual family trip

Everything was great. We came right after a storm ppower was out in the vicinity and the generator was on. The family liked the house. Said it was the best so far. The area is quiet and beautiful. Close enough tho things to do or restaurants.
