We had a great time during our stay at Acre Lake. We used the fire pit most nights. Used the grill to make a steak dinner. Played with the arcade game console in the basement (the basement was very nice). We brought our own 2 person hammock. We were there over Father's day weekend and there was not much boat traffic. The decks were very nice and the view of the lake was great. Now about the lake, fishing from the dock was super and from the kayaks it was even better. The lake should be re-named Lake CatchAFish - I caught over 100 fish and many were nice sized (all released). My wife caught one fish and was done fishing for the stay. The fish I caught were Bass, Sunfish, Perch, Crappie and one catfish. Most fish were caught on a jointed diving Green and Yellow minnow and a rebel crawdad (medium size). We ate several times at Bingham's (Thursday is Turkey dinner special with pie) and got ice cream at the Dairy Barn a few times. We went to Coopers in Scranton prior to checking in to the lake house (the decor was interesting, the food was okay - but it was still a good stop). One night, we celebrated my wife's birthday at Casa Bella in Scranton ( We loved this place and it was worth the 30 minute drive - I recommend making reservations, it was crowded even on a Monday). We also went to the Circle Drive-in Theater in Dickson City (it was nice and the bathrooms were spotless). I recommend this property highly.
