The best vacation spot. We love the view and the wildlife. It is so peaceful and relaxing. This year we seen deer, turkey, a porcupine, and a bear print. We are very thankful you share this wonderful spot. Even in the rain it is beautiful. Thank you so very much!
Very private, great view, they had activities for the teenagers (card games and outdoor games , smore kits for the fire pit ) and great communication. Thank you for a great break from people.
The stay was absolutely wonderful. We seen 2 Bear sightings, walked, and just spent quality time looking at the beautiful view! But you definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle. You also go across a stream.
This was our second time and I think it was even better. The best get away we have taken the last two years in a row. We will definitely book again. Such a beautiful area. Fireworks on the first night. Thankfully no bears! Thank you for sharing this little piece of beauty.
Overall, we had a great time staying at this property, but i really think there are some things that future renters should know.
Pros: definitely the view! My dogs were openly welcome and absolutely loved it there. My toddler got to experience a bunch of parts of nature and was exposed to some great experiences. The tent had some sweet "extras" that we appreciated. The owners were friendly but completely unintrusive. They seemed like genuinely really nice people and really community oriented! The locals we met (you'll find out how below) were all really nice as well.
Cons: there was a whole lot of UTV traffic directly behind the site. I mean like 15 ft from our heads when in the tent. Any mid afternoon naps for our toddler and us were not possible as the machines were LOUD! Kind of ruins the "remote location" deal when there was literally very loud traffic from 4wheelers and UTV's. We live in the city and genuinely wanted to get away from all the noise. The people that were driving through were all pretty friendly, but it was our entire stay. Dinner at the picnic table: waving to all the UTV drivers passing 15 ft away. Napping: loud UTVs flying by. Showering outdoors: directly off of and viewable from the UTV trails. Don't get me wrong, it was a nice time and we are friendly people so we weren’t super upset about the people through the site the whole time, but i REALLY feel like that should be known for people looking for a remote experience in nature.
My name is Amy Adams and I live in Knoxville, PA. My husband and two kids live in Knoxville and decided to share the family land that we are lucky enough to enjoy with others.
