We stayed here with our family for the Ironman race weekend and it was perfect. House was very clean and well set up. The family enjoyed the large backyard, waterfront, kayaks and hottub. Just outside of town it was a fantastic quiet getaway.
This was a very nice, comfortable house sitting on a beautiful property! The furnishings were very comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed and the beds were very comfortable! We were in Cambridge to watch our daughter compete in the Ironman, but we still found time to enjoy the hot tub, kayaks, swing and hammock. So nice! Owners were very responsive. Would definitely stay here again.
This property was WONDERFUL. My family and I wanted to be close to historic Cambridge to explore Harriet Tubman related sites. We did that and relaxed to at this wonderful home away from home. The water views were amazing, the kayaks were fun, the hot tub was relaxing and the house itself was pristine and modern. Drop everything and rent this place!
We booked this house for a girl’s weekend trip for 4. This house was absolutely perfect. The grounds, hot tub, porch, kayaks allow for everyone to do their own thing if they wanted. The living/kitchen/dining room were perfect for the whole group. The owners were lovely and very responsive. Would absolutely book this again.
We had a wonderful time! The house was super cute and clean. The views off the water in the morning and the evening were beautiful! All of the blackout shades came in very handy for our baby and little ones who sleep better in darker rooms.
The hot tub was magical and taking the kayaks out onto the water was so fun!
Only recommendation would be to bring bug spray!
Thanks for a wonderful stay. We would love to come back.
My partner and I arrived to this delightful property with wide water views over the cove and out to the Choptank River and were wowed. The house was immaculate with updated appliances, comfortable beds and beautiful natural light, Watched sunrises from the screened porch and open deck, kayaked out into the cove for sunsets and relaxed in the outdoor hot tub. Will definitely be back!
Spent two relaxing and peaceful days at the house, enjoying the quiet, beautiful setting on the water. House was as described, very clean and well equipped; we especially enjoyed having meals on the screened porch. We took full advantage of the kayaks, paddling around the inlets and coves, checking out the many birds (including several ospreys). Would highly recommend a trip to the Blackwater Wildlife Refuge; also enjoyed meals at Blue Ruin and Black Water Bakery in Cambridge. We will definitely be back!
We had a lovely time at this house on the river. It's just as pictured, and while we were there, an osprey family was nesting in a tall tree right on the riverbank. That was definitely a highlight.
David and Shevy were great hosts: very responsive and helpful. The house is a bit far from pretty much everything, which can be both a minus and a plus; we loved the solitude but didn't love having to drive so far to dining.
The only real downside was the queen bed in the main bedroom, which was quite a bit softer than we would prefer.
We visited in June 2023. If you're visiting, consider checking out Emily's Produce, a great roadside store with produce and snacks plus goodies like pies, sauces, jams, and more. In Cambridge itself, we also really enjoyed RAR Brewing - very casual/low-key with yummy beers and food - and Black Water Bakery + Eats - delicious sandwiches, sloooooow but very friendly service. Enjoy this peaceful getaway!
