Very clean cabin in an old resort that is very clean and well kept. Great location on the lake. Just a short 10 min drive into town. Two bars with food within a 5 min drive. Very relaxing.
Wonderful property tucked way back from any highway noise. SO MANY fawns and does back there. This cabin is very clean (and I’m a clean freak!), in every nook and cranny. It is very well kept with perfectly functioning doors and windows, cabinets. Nothing squeaked or creaked, not one floor, door or cabinet (except outer screen door). Great hot water supply, even really nice toilet paper! Beautiful deck and view. Hosts provided lots of info, clear and timely. Wonderful stay! Not one single complaint Thank you Andersons!
Awesome place to stay while enjoying a family vacation to the northwoods. We have been campers, staying in the Northern Highlands park system for 25 years. This is our first time in a rental.
Very fun week with family. Three nice bedrooms with comfortable beds. You feel nestled in the woods but your on the lake with a great view from the deck. We had everything we needed to enjoy our family! Our group has been going to this location for over 60 years and we rent three cottages sometimes more . It’s a wonderful location and we love it! Don’t hesitate !
This cabin was the perfect spot for a long weekend fishing getaway with my family. We enjoyed being right on the water (we rented a boat which we were able to keep at the private dock here). The cabin had all of the amenities that we needed and we enjoyed fishing and relaxing on the quiet lake, watching the eagles that hang out in the trees right off the deck, and dining at the multiple restaurants in town. The owners were fantastic and responded immediately to all of my questions prior to our visit. I am already looking to rent again here this fall.
my husband and I stayed at this comfy cabin the 2nd week in September. A beautiful time of the year with colors all around, leaves falling off the trees and the smells of autumn. Loved the cottage! beds were comfy and was very clean. We sat on the deck and watched the ducks go by with our morning coffee and the sunrises were beautiful. Felt very welcomed the minute we arrived. We took our UTV up and rode the trails all weekend. Also stopped at a bar called Red, White and Brew and had a beer and lunch. As must stop!!
We will be back!!! Thank you for sharing your cottage/condo!
The cabin was everything I had hoped but when I looked at the stairway down to the boat dock my heart sank.I have COPD and no way I can do that. A little advice from Carolyn Ritter(manager)and we got the problem worked out.
This is our yearly family vacation, we are from Waukesha and travel with another family for a week of fishing and being outdoors.
The location of the resort and cabins are perfect, close to town and back off the main hwy to feel secluded. The wildlife is abundant and the lake is perfect for leisure as well as fishing.
The cabin is small but was great for our family of 4, a perfect view of the lake. We love the table outside and had dinner there every night.
One thing that was noticed was the lack of knives in the kitchen (both steak knives as well as cooking/chopping/prepping) and the mouse poop in the bedrooms (mainly the bedroom closest to the lake).
We did have an issue with our oven not lighting however the owners of the resort were quick to fix it. If would have been appreciated however if they gave us a heads up when they were coming to fix it as they showed up in the morning when we were getting ready and the kids were eating breakfast. It was a little awkward and unexpected.
The not so great about the resort was the property owners. We felt like we were being watched constantly. We were reprimanded for putting too much wood on the fire on more than one occasion and having a fire too early in the day, the kids were playing Kick the Can and were yelled at for being too lout at 8:30pm even while quiet time doesn't start until 10pm. We asked to use the air compressor and it was a huge ordeal, Ted was very angry.
Overall great vacation, cabin was as described.
Great place and great people to deal with. We took our 4 grandsons. They had so much fun. Fishing, swimming, paddle boats, park, basketball, baseball and tubing. Non stop fun. There are many places for entertainment in the area as well.
The area was beautiful and peaceful. I loved all the wild life in the area.
The cabin was great. Just remember to take your towels, also for the kitchen.
This cottage definitely didn’t disappoint as the property was very clean and met the needs of 4 guys fishing. The Ritters Property management group communicated with us during the booking process and made accommodation for our group easy. We would definitely rebook the location for next year.
Very nice place cute condo/cabin. Just to add to there description make sure you bring dish soap and bathroom soap as with the towels they dont provide this was missing from the description. We stopped and got those items and left them for the next person. They do have a playground and bar on the prop
The cabin and property were fantastic! It was exactly as I had hoped and expected. The stay was wonderful and I have no complaints. Four of us stayed in the cabin and there was plenty of room. The deck is perfect for sitting outside, and the access to the lake is great--great lake to stay on as well.
