What a lovely place to stay!
It felt like walking into a home. Peaceful (both literally and figuratively).
The living area has comfortable chairs.
The bedroom has one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in!
The shower has good pressure.
There is central heating if required.
I loved that the place was clean! So many accommodation places fall short on the cleanliness factor, but not here. It makes such a difference when the place you are staying is clean.
There is no laundry, but there is a laundromat down the road.
Best to have a vehicle, as the nearest public bus system is about a half hour walk away along the highway roadside.
There are small touches here and there that show Alison really cares for her guests. It seemed like every possible little detail had been thought of. She had even picked some of her peonies and placed them in a vase on the dining table.
I had the pleasure of meeting Alison in person briefly the morning of my departure. What a delightful human being she is. And her garden is just as lovely.
The only downside is that I had only one night to enjoy the place. If I have the opportunity to return to Alaska one day, I will definitely look to stay here again. :)
