Small but cute cottage, well maintained and documented. Very good proximity to Kettle Moraine and the lake. Lots of great additional fun stuff like fishing poles, etc. Great communication and easy check-in
Thanks for a great stay! We were able to get away and unplug before the rush of school starting up. The kids loved the dock and swimming in the lake. Hoping to come back next summer!
We were all pleased with the cabin and location! It is a very peaceful spot with beautiful sunrises and moon rises! It had a nice deck with table and chairs for meals. We really appreciated the Corn Hole game just off the deck and the hammock/swing was enjoyed by all! We rented the pontoon boat for 3 days for cruising the lake, fishing and sunsets! We also used the Kayaks and Paddle boat! We didn't have a moment to play any of the video or board games we brought because of all the options we had on the lake and the cabin! No need to bring all your food because there is a nice Piggly Wiggly just 5 minutes away which is the only time we left the property! The cabin had all the items we needed for cooking! The neighbors were nice and respected our privacy! Overall, we had a very relaxing and fun time! We all hope to go back sometime!
We were looking for a quiet weekend away on the lake and this was just what we were looking for. The cabin was well stocked and we enjoyed using the kayaks. You can't beat a campfire on the lake. Our group of 5 adults had a great weekend away. Thank you.
The cottage is well stocked with everything you need for a trip. We spent most of our days swimming in the lake, fishing from the pier or cruising on the water in the rented boat. No issues swimming once you are past the seaweed :) There is hiking close by around Mauthe Lake, Dundee Mountain or Parnell Tower that are all accessible with State Park passes
We had the best time staying at this cabin! Eric was so accommodating with everything. The place was clean and the beds were super comfortable, and there were extra fishing poles for us in one of the closets. If you rent this place, you must rent the boat! The kids had so much fun anchoring in the middle of the lake and jumping off and swimming around. We can't wait to go back again!
We came with our adult children and dog to see the area and enjoy the lake. We had a great time! The house suited our needs just fine. We took the fishing rods out on the pontoon boat that was there to rent. The boat is very nice and the dog sure enjoyed it! Sunsets were beautiful. There are decent restaurants and ice cream nearby as well as hiking trails. We all had a great time! Communication is very easy with Eric, the host.
Everything was as stated in the listing. House was well stocked with supplies, towels, dishes, etc. Had a great time. Wasn’t able to use fire pit as water level was high but looks to be a great area to enjoy family time.
My husband and I stayed with my parents and brother along with our 11 month old. We enjoyed the cottage very much. There are a lot of things to do outside and on the water included with the cottage. We had a great time, unfortunately it rained pretty much all day one of the days and we went to a children's museum in Fond Du Lac that was very nice to give the baby something to do, and the other adults did some antique shopping.
The property was small, but the bedrooms were large and there was enough space for the 4 of us to be comfortable. Everything you could want or need was available. Please note, this is not a swimming lake, but the yard and dock are nice additions. Eric was very responsive and easy to work with!
We had were in town for a family baby shower and wanted the kids to be able to have fun and not be cooped up in a hotel room. The lake gave them all the fun they needed to stay occupied.
We had a great girls weekend. We played in the water and used the water toys. We also read on the dock and grilled out. Sunday was raining so we watched movies and played games inside.
Charming, clean and comfortable cabin with tree top views of the quiet lake. Enjoyed nature, swimming, fire pit and nearby restaurants. Host was quickly responsive to questions. Looking forward to another stay!
Location is 10/10! Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. Great views of the lake from the cabin! Eric provides great and thoughtful amenities from board games for the kids, bikes, kayaks to classic novels for a nice, quiet read in the shaded hammock chair surrounded by large trees and blooming hostas. We brought our children (2&5) and loved the ability to use the fire pit to roast s’mores, play & swim by the shallow end of the pier (Plenty of frogs & fishes for your kiddos to be entertained).and go hiking nearby at Kettle Moraine state park. The lake is gorgeous; we rented the owner’s boat and enjoyed hours of fun out on the water. They also provided fishing gear and plenty of life jackets for all ages! Kayaked while the sun rose and saw eagles fishing for breakfast!
Outdoor enthusiasts, introvert bookworms, overworked parents; this is a great cabin to melt your troubles and make great memories, with kids or solo!
The property is a perfect cabin getaway, close to milwaukee. The cabin had everything we needed, the beds were comfortable, the lake was great. 10/10! Thank you!
While cozy, the cabin was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was very well supplied, clean and information about the cabin was clear. The deck is sizable with a nice view. There is a nice swim area with easy step in to the water and a comfortable dock. The owner was easy to communicate with, adding to a very relaxed and comfortable experience
Cottage is beautifully situated and equipped with everything needed for a fun, relaxing and comfortable stay. Kid and pet-friendly, yet there's no evidence that animals have stayed in the house. Use of kayaks and pedal boat was a highlight. Kettle Moraine State Forest hikes were nearby and scenic. Surrounding area with sleepy single lane roads and picturesque barns, churches, etc. evoked feelings of an earlier, slower paced life. All four of us assign this special spot 5 stars.
We had the best family vacation at this sweet cabin. My girls loved swimming in the lake and having a bonfire, roasting s’mores, taking the boat out for a cruise. The cabin was well stocked with everything you’d need in the kitchen to make family meals. The beds are very comfortable and the whole place is very clean and neat. Eric was such a gracious host and great communicator. We can’t wait to come back and swim and fish some more!
Nice quaint, quiet place. Affordable family get away on a great property right on the lake, with a sandy, shallow shoreline for the kids. Neighbors are really nice too. Lots of amenities were provided at no additional cost (huge plus). My only complaint is that we got hot one of the nights. The A/C was trying it’s best, but there is a nice breeze from the lakeside if you’re comfortable with leaving the windows open. Eric was a great, dependable host :)

We live in Milwaukee WI which is 50 minutes from the cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed this cottage for almost 7 years and love the lake so much that we bought a second home on the other side of the lake which has allowed us to share this cottage with you. We have only one main rule that helps reset our mindset, "No one is uptight at the lake." As long as you follow that rule you should have fun here.
Why they chose this property
This property has wonderful sunrises, mostly private (although the beach and pier are shared with the neighbors), great hiking, site seeing, fabulous super clubs nearby, bike paths abound, kayaking fun, fishing, paddle boating, floating on the water, swimming, birdwatching, and relaxing. There's a wonderful deck all on one level with the house for grilling and playing cards or games.
What makes this property unique
Relax, you're on lake time now. Pick up a book and read while resting in the hammock, or spend time with your family on the big deck. Games abound, wildlife everywhere if you keep your eyes open, water is clean and warm/refreshing. In July you will likely have around 77-80 degree water, a little cooler in spring and fall. Don't forget to check out the sunrise and spend time on the pier at sunset.
