I only communicated with the property manager with messages on the vrbo website, because I provided the property manager with my cell phone number, and I asked the property manager to call or text me, but the property manager did not pick up the phone or call or text me back. I received no information about the property other than what was on the vrbo listing, so I repeatedly asked the property manager how to get into the house leading up to the day I checked in, and the property manager did not provide that information until the morning of the day I checked in. This made me very nervous that I would not be able to get into the house, and I actually even changed my plans to arrive earlier in the day just to make sure I would be able to get into the house. When I arrived, there was no information in the house about anything (for example, wifi password, where to empty the garbage, etc.). After we got into the house, I asked the property manager for the wifi password, and the property manager replied again (this time, promptly) using vrbo messages.
Here are direct quotations from what the property manager wrote to me using vrbo messages: "Sorry for some reason I wasn't notified of your message." (What does that mean? In addition to sending vrbo messages, I also called the property manager and left voice mail messages on the property manager's cell phone number.)
After we got in the house and I sent a vrbo message requesting the wifi password, the property manager wrote back "Yeah, it should have been all emailed to you. That's so weird." I did receive all of the emails from vrbo confirming my reservation, etc. I don't know who the property manager believed ought to have emailed me information about the property. I don't know why the property manager did not provide me with information about the property after repeated requests.
