"Southern Comfort" is our renovated 3 bedroom 3 bath is in the Heart of Downtown Gatlinburg! A short 8-10 min walk to downtown, 1 mile to Smoky Mountain National Park, and located in a creekside neighborhood with a community pool. Each bedroom has its own private bath making it a perfect couples retreat or for family and friends who want to come along! Cool screened-in porch with Mountain views and fireplace is the perfect spot to enjoy coffee or wine. Also, all 3 bedrooms are located on separate floors with a sleeper sofa in living room. New interior paint first week of September 2024.
Pool: Community Pool open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Parking: We have a 1 car carport, just pull in. One additional car can be parked on the driveway. There is additional parking alongside fence and in front of pool but is first come first serve.
The space:
Kitchen: microwave, stove, toaster, traditional coffee maker, fridge, dishwasher and all the basics such as pots/pans/plates.
Living room/dining room:
The open living and dining room is beautifully furnished. Featuring an electric fireplace with a huge flat screen TV. Lounge and relax on the comfortable sofa and at night, pull it out to use as a sleeper sofa! The rustic dining table provides ample seating and we have barstools for more seating if needed. Step outside and relax on the screened in porch with another electric wall mounted fireplace or sit on the balcony and look out onto the Skylift Bridge on the mountain.
Bedrooms and Loft:
The lower floor when you enter contains a King bed with its own private bath. There is also a washer and dryer in a closet right outside the bedroom. Climb one flight of stairs to the main level, and we have the 2nd bedroom also with a King bed and a private bath. The living room also contains the sleeper sofa. Finally, up the spiral stairs, we have a loft with a lovely queen bed and another private bath.
What’s nearby:
Our townhome in Baskins Creek is within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg, with a stop for the Gatlinburg Trolley close by and nearby attractions such as the Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies, Skylift Park, Anakeesta, Mountain Coasters, Ober Gatlinburg tram, Gatlin's Mini Golf, and great restaurants and boutiques on the strip. The Great Smoky Mountain National Park entrance is just 1 mile away. Spend the day enjoying the great views, hiking, climb up to Clingman's Dome, and hopefully seeing a black bear! You can also head to Pigeon Forge to spend the day at Dollywood riding roller coasters and enjoying the water park!
