Nova Scotia vacay!

Loved the house. Accommodations and amenities were more than we expected. The stairs to second floor were a little challenging for older adults. But overall we had a lovely time.

Wonderful stay

What a unique and beautiful property! The staircase was a challenge (rather steep and twisty) for some members of the party. Beautifully appointed. Logan was very communicative and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

Historic charming home

Located perfectly overseeing the Bay of Fundy, this home was fun and quirky. There were interesting artifacts, books, rocks and just great stuff all over, it was like staying in a museum. The primary bed was very comfy, the kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, plates, glasses and coffee! I loved staying there. Both Logan and Tim were great hosts and I would not hesitate to stay there again in the future. Oh, and don’t forget the Lobster Pound nearby, great place to eat.

Peaceful isn’t a strong enough adjective

Such a cozy and welcoming home. Spotlessly clean with a mix of new and antique furniture. Well equipped kitchen. Wish there had been a users guide to be sure we were leaving things as the owner wanted, but she was quick to respond to my questions. Hot tub was wonderful as well.

Relaxing, fun, ladies weekend!

This is my 3rd time staying at Harbour House and it never disappoints! The nautical decor is really beautiful & tastefully done! All the comforts of home & comfy beds. Right on the water means walks on the beach, hearing the ocean waves and always having a spectacular view. Tim & Logan are always just a text away! I would highly recommend Harbour House.

Charming and spacious bayside house

Very charming village house close to the water, with plenty of bedrooms and lounging space on both floors for a family or group of friends. Far enough from urban areas that it feels like a real break from everyday pressures. Well appointed kitchen and available laundry. Full bedrooms on main and second floor provide options if you don't feel like taking on the heritage stairs.

Coastline Treasure

Beautiful views and a charming historic home. Spotlessly clean throughout, this large home had every comfort. Browse through the huge book collection, walk along the shore and feast on lobster at the nearby restaurant. The well water may be a bit strong for some so recommend bring bottled water and if you plan on cooking, bring spices. Staircase is a bit steep. Beds are very comfortable, soft sheets, plenty of towels, gourmet kitchen. Artfully decorated, this is a lovely house that we highly recommend!

Why they chose this property

Halls Harbour is a picturesque fishing village located in the Bay of Fundy on the coast of Nova Scotia, Canada. Known for its dramatic tides—some of the highest in the world—Halls Harbour is an ideal destination for nature lovers, photographers, and those interested in maritime culture. Here's why someone would want to visit:

1. Stunning Tidal Phenomenon: The Bay of Fundy is famous for having the highest tides on the planet, with water levels changing up to 50 feet. Visitors can witness the dramatic ebb and flow of the tides, which creates a unique landscape as boats are left stranded on the mudflats at low tide and float back at high tide. The dramatic scenery makes it a perfect spot for photography.

2. Scenic Beauty: The village itself offers picturesque views of the bay, framed by rugged cliffs and surrounded by lush forests. Halls Harbour's natural beauty is a haven for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts, with trails nearby offering views of the shoreline and wildlife.

3. Seafood: As a working fishing village, Halls Harbour is known for its fresh seafood, particularly lobster. Visitors can enjoy fresh lobster meals at the famous Lobster Pound Restaurant located next door.

4. Halls Harbour Wharf and Boardwalk: The wharf is the heart of the village and offers visitors a chance to watch fishermen in action. The boardwalk is perfect for a leisurely stroll, providing excellent views of the harbour, boats, and the surrounding natural beauty.

5. Kayaking and Boating: For those looking to explore the waters of the Bay of Fundy, kayaking and boating are popular activities in Halls Harbour.

6. Proximity to Other Attractions: Halls Harbour is conveniently located close to other popular Nova Scotia attractions, such as the Gaspereau Valley wine region, and both Cape Split and Blomidon Provincial Parks.

For anyone interested in experiencing a mix of natural beauty, maritime culture, and outdoor adventure, Halls Harbour is a must-see destination.
