Great winter spot for our snow sport family

We booked Four Toes because it was minutes between Red River Ski and Angel Fire Resort. Our family of 4, two adults and 2 boys (6yo and 9yo) plus our adult friend had plenty of space to play games, read and make meals. The rooms were great and the boys loved staying in the loft bedroom. Our host was responsive and we would love to return.

Great place for a family gathering!

Great place to stay, that was very clean and well stocked with everything that we needed during our 5 day stay. Comfortable furnishings to lounge in following a day of sightseeing and fishing. Anita was a wonderful host to our group, and provided us with perfect communication, prior to, and throughout our stay. 5 stars all the way for the Four Toes Mountain Lodge!

It was a blast!

We had the best time sledding and checking out both Angel Fire and Red River. Our host was awesome and super helpful with telling us some local places to take the kids to play in the snow or sled! We will definitely be back!

Great Home!

This property was perfectly located for our group of 7 for skiing both Red River and Angel Fire. The home was cozy and comfortable with a well set up kitchen with everything we needed. The hosts were fantastic and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay and will be visiting again.

Good location

Lots of room for our 3 generations of family. The kids loved the nooks and hiding places. More than enough rooms to fill every need. The owners and property manager were superb and always available for questions. We were close enough to travel to Angel Fire, Red River, Taos and Sipapou. Hope to stay here again.

First trip to ski New Mexico

Host is very attentive. This house is comfortable and quaint. Great location for accessing multiple resorts. Large mud room is great for putting ski stuff off and on. The kitchen needs a cookware update . We would stay here again. Lovely and affordable!

Great family getaway

Perfect for an extended stay of 5 weeks with different family members coming in. Comfortable for our groups of up to nine. We had adequate parking for UTV's as well as vehicles. It was clean,comfortable, and cozy. Great set up for playing games and hanging out. Anita was very responsive and answered all questions. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing location and great property!

The property was just as described, clean, and inviting. Had everything we needed for a total of 9 people staying. Anita was accommodating and super nice even when we locked ourselves out one afternoon, totally our fault but she was quick to respond and help! View and location was outstanding being in the mountains and great small town. Already planning our next trip to the area and no need to look at other places as this property was perfect!!

Anita and Curtis were very pleasant to work with and very accommodating. Home was very clean and had more than enough space for our family of five (including three teenagers). Very conveniently located to Angel Fire and Red River - about 1 hour and 20 mins from Taos. Would definitely return

We had a great time! Everything was as expected, lots of room for all 4 of us! We all hung out several nights and cooked out and just relaxed! This property is very close to just about anything you want to do! The hosts are very nice and where around if you needed them!

Great space for multiple families!

We had a great time at the property. Anita was great to work with and communicated information well. Their was heavy snow fall while we were there and Anita and her husband were out early shoveling the porch and clearing out the drive way. Our stay was great!

Wonderful weekend fishing trip

We rented this property for an annual ice fishing trip for the boys. As soon as we arrived, we found that the lake had been closed for the weekend. Anita was amazing and helped us find another lake where we could fish. The house was clean and had plenty of room for our big group. We will definitely add this property to our annual fishing plans. As residents in the area, we enjoy the change of seasons that the mountains have to offer and all of the activities that are offered. The low-key lifestyle is a plus in the Moreno Valley.

Why they chose this property

We have always wanted to live in the mountains and this is the perfect area for beautiful mountain and wildlife viewing. It is also perfect for lake and stream fishing as well as hunting elk, deer and even turkey. Also, being avid hikers and skiers we are surrounded by tons of hiking trails and close to three ski areas - Angel Fire, Red River and Taos ski resorts and of course the golf courses at Angel Fire and Taos are great.

What makes this property unique

We chose this house because of its unique and long history as a hunting mountain lodge; you can gaze at the spectacular views that are unparalleled. Just stepping onto the grounds you will begin to realize that you are as close as you can get to natural majestic beauty. Visitors have said it is the closest place they have been to "heaven on earth."
