Yurt Freya is a traditional Mongolian yurt with a little extra.
Yurt Freya is a traditional Mongolian yurt with a little extra. Its bright bold colours and detailed paint work stand out on the untraditional colour, Black. Black and white yurts are rare and uncommon in a Mongolian yurt opting for their more bold and stand out colours our yurt is different. Yurt Freya also boast an unconventional layout with a hanging bed, suspended by rope from a wooden frame, the same frame supports two hanging chairs next to the beautiful wood burner. This beautiful setting leaves you with an amazing experience. Yurt Freya is a totally unique experience that is available nowhere else in Iceland. Valhalla yurts look forward to seeing you soon.

This was such a cute and cozy place to stay! The yurt was very warm with heater, wood stove, and heated mattress. We got to see the aurora right from the property (and even from the see through top of the yurt while in bed). Breakfast was brought to us in the morning and was amazing (fresh breads, fresh eggs from their chickens, fresh fruit, etc).
