This luxury cabin is spacious yet warm and cozy with several amenities. Located in the heart of great fishing and golfing, near Lake Davis in Portola California. Just a short drive to Graeagle, it's the perfect year round destination for family vacations or a weekend getaway.

This home is only a short 12 minute drive from the Grizzly Ranch golf course and only a 20 minute drive to the Nakoma Golf Resort.

Enjoy the outdoor gas firepit, (if conditions in our area allow) horseshoe pit, and gas BBQ on the deck. Take your pick of several golf courses, fishing lakes or hiking trails this area has to offer.

There are several excellent restaurants within a short drive from the cabin. Come play, relax and have a great time! Use of our pool in the plumas pines neighborhood included with your reservation.

Winter getaway

Our family stayed at the Pinehaven retreat in February. Pinehaven was a gorgeous house, perfect for our family of four and dog. The bedrooms were well appointed and beds comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It was great having a large garage to use during the winter. The radiant floor heating worked great and we enjoyed to two gas fireplaces (one in primary bedroom, and the other in the living room). There were snowshoes and sleds in the garage, and a great hill in the back for sledding. We were lucky to arrive amidst fresh snow. The house has huge vaulted ceilings and so many windows - it was magical watching the snow fall at night during dinner time. Wifi was a bit spotty at times, but we enjoyed watching DVDs on their blue-ray. The house was dog friendly, although there were no fences so we had to keep our dog on leash the entire time. Lots of open space around the house, it felt very private and secluded. We wanted a winter getaway that was away from the hustle and bustle of Tahoe - it was refreshing to enjoy the snow away from the crowds. Nearby Eueka State Park had great sledding, snowhsoing, and cross-country ski options. The only downside for this winter location was that there were almost no restaurants open in the area. Downtown Portola had a couple of spots open, but all Graegle and Blarisden were totally shut down for the winter. Not much to do in the area, but a wonderful private home to enjoy beauty of winter. Our family loved our time here.

Great Stay at Pinehaven

Property was beautiful as was the home. Inside was very clean and immaculate. The pool is about a 20 minute drive away in Greagle. Portola is about a 10 minute drive. The light switches were quirky but we managed to figure it out. The wifi is not the greatest and there is no cell coverage but that is because of the location in the woods. It is a good place to get away from constant connection.

Great experience, wonderful getaway!

Beautiful cabin nestled in the trees, well maintained, very comfortable home. Made for a magical winter getaway. Enjoyed the view with the many windows and the firepit was so fun. Cozy beds and all the amenities you need. Host was very responsive. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful property!

House is spectacular and the grounds are so relaxing. So many areas to find some peace and solitude or family fun time. Surrounding area allowed for great walks thru the woods to the lake. House had everything we needed to make a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and special holiday. Comfy beds, awesome tub & showers. Hosts were VERY responsive and helpful when needed. Hope to be back next year!

Lake Davis Bliss

Beautiful, well-appointed, and rustic/modern cabin. Picturesque forest setting, perfect for our family to rest and enjoy each other's company. Plenty of seating and room to spread out. Gorgeous, comfortable bedrooms - a pretty view from each one.

Wonderful cabin in the woods!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! The setting is absolutely beautiful with plenty of room for family. The deck and patio are lovely and private, fun horseshoe pit! The house set up is roomy and comfortable, kitchen is well stocked with everything needed. Bed and bathrooms are clean and comfortable! Just what we were looking for for our family vacation!

Sierra Get away.

This was our third year for a golf and fun adventure. We love the property and area. Everyone was so relaxed. We recommend this home it was great for our three couples. Look forward to returning again.

Wonderful sanctuary in the lost Sierras

Check in process was easy and had no problems. There was a little confusion about disarming the alarm. Apparently it hadn’t been set. I will definitely look to rent this home again. Such a sanctuary in the woods for some R&R

Beautiful property

Beautiful house. Beautiful location. This house was amazing. Tucked away in the woods very serene and peaceful. The WiFi definitely needs an upgrade. By it was also nice forcing the kids to unplug. This house did have lots of nice amenities and was well stocked. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my happy place

My husband and I have rented this property four times over the last four years. The house is so comfortable and perfectly decorated for the woodsy area of Lake Davis. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Tina is the “hostess with the mostest”! We feel like we’ve become personal friends over the years. If you love the great outdoors, bring your hiking shoes, mountain bikes and kayaks! Or if hanging out on the front porch reading a book and watching the chipmunks and birds is more your speed, that’s a great option too. We ❤️ The Lake Davis cabin and will be back!

Relaxing retreat in the woods

We absolutely LOVED this cabin! Relaxing, quiet, well-stocked kitchen, and very clean rental. Teena was a wonderful host in communication. Excellent location to lake, hiking trails, and nearby towns of Blairsden and Graeagle for more hiking, waterfalls, and good eats! Highly recommend! Looking forward to a return trip soon!

Amazing retreat with my family

We had a wonderful time at Teena's property. The property is so much better in person than in the pictures. It is in a quiet neighborhood with so much nature in the backyard. We ended up seeing deers visit us every morning. Every little detail is meticulously planned and organized in this house. She has almost everything that a family needs for a good stay from high quality and variety of utensils, to extra sheets and blankets, grill etc. The only two suggestions I would like to give her is that the 1) water leaks in the master bathroom while taking shower and 2) master bedroom mattress is a too jumpy as it is old spring style. But again those are minor suggestions and by no means should prevent anyone from staying in this otherwise great, quiet, serene, barn-style house. Teena also allowed us for a late checkout which we highly appreciate. Overall, we highly recommend this house and we plan to go there again.

I LOVE giving this property 5-Stars for so many reasons. Not only was it clean and well appointed with everything you might need... the location was great! It was a Gal-Pal reunion that brought us here from many locations and every one of us would do it again! Great indoor space... great outdoor space... great outdoor activities close by... Beautifully appointed home

A small group of us are working on a property renovation in the area. After our long, dusty work days this cabin was a beautiful oasis to return to. The hosts had thought of every detail to make the visit feel like we were home. Everything from the personalized decor, the abundance of kitchen/cooking utensils and spices, to clear instructions for using the TV and sound systems was welcoming. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit in the evening and the selection of DVDs and board games. We would definitely return to this cabin!
