Wonderful winter stay with extended family
We stayed at Laie Palms for one month over Christmas and New Years which was winter in Hawaii. It was warm and calm enough to swim and snorkel at the beach everyday. We loved the little town and locals of Laie. The house was big enough for seven of us and could easily have fit more people. There was plenty of essentials provided including towels and linen. A great washing machine and dryer fit for a large family and plenty of beach equipment and toys. Waking up to the view everyday and being able to just walk straight out to the beach was amazing.

perfect north shore location
This is the second time we have rented this location. We love that it is on the beach, that it is comfortably set up for our extended family to all stay together. The downstairs studio is perfect for our daughter, son- in-law and their toddler. The house is tucked away so it feels very private. There is a nice lawn for kiddos to play. We love being in Laie - we have other family members living there, so we are close by. There are ample places to get yummy food including a Foodland. This is not a fancy place - it is homey and perfect for beach living.

Your own piece of paradise
Absolutely loved the property. The sunrise on the beach is breathtaking. The beds were comfy (especially in the master), and it was nice renting both the upstairs and downstairs units. There were plenty of boogie boards, snorkel gear, towels, sunscreen, etc. to have a fun day with the family at the beach. Also, the host was very responsive and helpful during our stay. Would love to stay here again!

Great house on the Windward side of Island
The house is just as advertised, and had almost everything we could have wanted. We had a family of 8 ranging ages from 15 to 76. The location and beach access was amazing!!!! Pros: The beds were comfortable, plenty of plate/flatware, towels, water toys. Cons: A few upgrades are needed, Toaster (did not work); Pans (largest pan was stainless steel) and everything stuck --to the point of almost ruining everything put into it, furniture is as pictured, but not comfortable for a family to sit on. It is more suited for a porch, not living room. Questions: I called the property owner number to ask for the garage code for the keypads.... no one called me back, we worked around the issue but I was disappointed with lack of response. I also wanted to let them know, when we arrived both garage doors were wide open. Jungle Foul (Chickens)... we are early morning people.... but 4am did make me grumpy with the 20+ chickens next door. It was cute for the first day or two.... Overall we had a fabulous 1st Extended family trip to Hawaii and the house was everything we needed.

Good location, beautiful beach area
My family of 6 stayed for 5 days. The location is great if you're looking for a good beach area and driveability. The waves were a good size for my little kids, even in the winter season when the North Shore waves are giant in comparison. We saw maybe 5-6 people up and down the beach every day. I picked this spot so we could have easy access to a beach for me and my kids, since my husband doesn't like the beach/sand and we never had to make a day trip out of going to the beach. We later stayed at the Aulani Disney Resort and I preferred this beach. The sunrises are beautiful. It's across from the PCC, which we spent a day at. We could have spent more than one afternoon there. Skip the luau but definitely go to the Ha Breath of Life Show. Foodland is close, as well as the Laie Temple and everything on the North Shore. There is so much to do this side of the island within a 40-minute drive. We visited the Valley of the Temples and the Byodin Temple, the chocolate factory in Wailea, Sunset Beach to watch the surfers, the ʻEhukai Pillbox Hike, the Macadamia Nut Farm, and the Dole Plantation. So much more we could have done too. The house was super clean when we checked in and check-in was easy with a lockbox and key inside. Less great things: we're supposed to park in the garage but our minivan didn't fit. I emailed the owner directly the day we arrived with a question and never heard back. This is probably just a part of island life I wasn't prepared for but wow, there were a lot of flies/gnats/fruit flies/beetles and even ants and a lizard inside the house. We were very careful about keeping the door closed and keeping food contained and away from windows, etc., but there were a lot of bugs for my taste. The house has a few good brooms and I swept up every day dead flies. No air conditioning, which is normal for the area; some nights were more comfortable than others. We shut our windows at night so the roosters wouldn't wake up the kids at 4:30 am (there are a LOT of roosters next door). Appreciated laundry access in the garage. Lots of beach supplies, including water shoes, boogie boards, life jackets and even a toddler hiking backpack. Would definitely stay again for the location. It was a relief to go to a hotel after this though and have fewer bugs and more a/c. However I think this felt like a more authentic island experience.

Great time in Laie
There was some confusion checking in but Natasha took care of everything for us and was very nice. The house was as pictured, and the location was awesome. Not a far drive from teds bakery, and food trucks, and the store is very close. If you like McDonald’s which some of our group did, it’s right across the street! The house comfortably fit our large group and all around had a fantastic time!

Beautiful views and ocean waves
Great location and views in a private space! Lots of room, well equipped with extras and cool breezes for a comfortable stay. The walkable beach made it even more incredible. The neighbors roosters took me back to my childhood on my grandparents farm. Overall a wonderful experience for our family getaway! Oahu is our favorite island and can’t wait to visit again! Thanks for sharing your home!

Amazing Views & Great Beach Access
The home has a balcony that faces the beautiful water and gives amazing views with awesome ocean breezes. The access to the beach is great and is fairly secluded. The home itself is clean and the beds were comfortable. Our party included 6 adults and we were satisfied with the space. The kitchen was well equipped. The only negative for the kitchen that I can note was the condition of the pots and pans. They should be replaced. There is a charcoal grill that we used on a couple of occasions and enjoyed supper on the balcony in the evenings. The home is located close to grocery stores, fast food restaurants, and the Polynesian Center. Turtle Bay Resort, Waimea Falls and various beautiful beaches are all just a short drive away. Although we didn't use public transportation, there is a bus stop very close and can be seen within walking distance from the side of the home. The drive from the airport, Waikiki Beach and Pearl Harbor is approximately 45 minutes to an hour away depending on traffic. We avoided rush hour traffic because it is fairly heavy driving to and from the city. The only other negative was the trash. We arrived on a Friday afternoon and trash day is on Thursday. There was already bags of trash in the container outside when we arrived and by next week we had accumulated quite a few bags of trash and only one outdoor trash bin. Although the home could use a little bit of a decor updating, we were very pleased with our decision to stay here and would stay here again should we return. The views and beach access make you quickly forget any minor things that could use improving. I would definitely recommend this home to any family or friends looking to stay outside of Honolulu on the North Shore. Thank you for sharing your home with us. Mahalo!!!

A Piece of Paradise!
Family of six, and we loved our stay here! The pictures do not do it justice. The view from the deck is breathtaking, and you also get ocean views from the master bedroom and dining area! My spirits were lifted the whole time we were there. The yard is big and mostly enclosed, so lots of space to play for the kids, with your own private pathway directly to the beach. The beach is beautiful. You can swim and snorkel. Close to shopping and my older kids would walk across the street to the marketplace for food. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. The little kids loved the sand toys. I only wish we could have stayed longer! We spent a few days in Waikiki and then 5 nights here and I wish we had just stayed the whole time here.

Beauty surrounds you.
We had a wonderful stay!!! The views can’t be beat! You can stand at the kitchen sink and see the mountains and the ocean at the same time. It truly is spectacular. The only thing that we didn’t care for was the furniture. In most cases that wouldn’t be a problem at all but my 80 year old mom and 88 year old aunt were with us and they found it hard to get out of the furniture and it was not the most comfortable. This was not a huge problem other than that. We loved it here!!

Beautiful home, beautiful beach
We enjoyed our stay here at Laie Palms very much. The house was clean & the beach was beautiful sand with very few rocks. We didn’t need water shoes to swim here. The property is right on the water, no roads to cross or other homes to walk past. It is very close to groceries and to the Polynesian Cultural Center. We hope to stay here again. We heard some road noise (ambulance sirens) and lots of rooster crowing, but it seems that happens everywhere on O’ahu.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Close to the Polynesian Cultural Center. The house an amazing ocean view. We were able to walk on the beach every morning which was so peaceful. Wonderful location. Right on the beach. Very Close to PCC
The beach was very rough and littered with quite a bit of drift wood and plastic that seemed to wash up directly in front of the house. But other than that, it was wonderful. The PCC is just down the street. You could walk to McDonald's for breakfast if you wanted to. It's a GREAT place.

It’s the perfect beach spot!
The home sits right on the beach, which is fabulous. You get to enjoy the sunrise everyday. I am so glad we rented the studio as well, it would’ve been awkward having another family in there. Laie is a cute town, but RIGHT in front of this house is a very sketchy home that you are never quite sure is occupied or not. There needs to be instructions on how to operate the cable TV, channel options etc. The porch is great, but when you’re here for a week the furniture is subpar. The pans in the kitchen need upgraded. The ones that are here are really bad. With that being said, the overall stay was great and being right on the beach is perfect!
