Here Are A Few Kind Words From Our Past Guests:

“The stay was everything we needed, plus! It was very peaceful and relaxing. We had the time to utilize the fire pit and nothing was better than sitting out on the screened in porch to take in the views and drink our morning coffee. One morning we were drinking our coffee we spotted a mama bear and cub which was definitely a highlight of the trip! Everything was close to the cabin within 15 minutes depending on traffic and equally close to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg depending upon that day’s activities. The cabin had all of the essentials for our stay. My only complaint is I wish we could have stayed longer!” – Stephanie

“We had the best time at our weekend getaway and this cabin made it that much more enjoyable. Everything was spotless, Matt & Tracey were so responsive and helpful! Recommend staying here!!” – Madison

“Bearolina was amazing! So much to do at the cabin and close to local attractions and shopping. Very clean and more than enough space for all of us to hang out. We were even blessed with seeing a mama bear and her 2 cubs walk down the driveway and then played in the front yard before moving on. The arcade and ping pong table were great on the rainy days and the hot tub was the perfect way to end a day of hiking in the Smokey’s! 5 stars all the way around! Thank you Matt and Tracey!” – Gwen

“Our stay in the mountains, and particularly at Bearolina On My Mind cabin surpassed all expectations. The cozy wooded-retreat provided a perfect backdrop for a momentous occasion—my engagement to my now-fiancée. The breathtaking views, coupled with the warm ambiance, created an unforgettable atmosphere. The hosts' attention to detail made our stay truly special. Grateful for the memories we've etched in those serene mountains.” – Gian

Spring Break First National Park Trip

The cabin is perfect for a small family. My 7 year old and 3 year old love playing upstairs in the loft area. This was my kids first national park trip and the location the cabin was perfect. It is about 15 mins from Pigeon Forge and about 20 mins from the entrance to the Sugarlands visitor center entrance to state park. My kids love running around the cabin and collecting sticks for the fire pit . We loved the cabin and were sad to go. We will be back for sure. We hike, it snowed, we enjoyed the hot tub and the ping pong table. The cabin had everything we needed as a family of four. We went to Publix (about 17 mins into pigeon forge) and we cooked almost all meals at cabin. With two large bedrooms and two twin size beds in the loft we were very comfortable.

Wonderful Cabin Experience

My little family (myself, husband, and 2 year old) had a wonderful time staying at this cabin. Such a quiet, comfortable, and peaceful place. There’s plenty to entertain, relax, and enjoy! The highlights were the super comfy beds, hot tub, and bear sightings from afar :)

Great Family Fun

We enjoyed our stay. The arcade was fun and the kids played ping pong and we hit the hot tub. Not much space for sitting and eating inside but we made it all work out. Thanks!

Quite cozy cabin in the woods!

My wife and I had our honeymoon in Gatlinburg and we wanted to return with our 4 year old. We looked at many cabins and decided on decided to stay here because of the amenities and previous reviews...we were not disappointed at all! Communication from the owners was excellent and everything was exactly how it was described. The cabin was in excellent shape and we had no issues the whole time. Our son lived the hot tub and the loft with 2 beds. He slept in a different one every night. The beds were comfortable and it was quite which helped for a good nights sleep. We would recommend staying here and will keep this at the top of our list when we return for our next visit.

Overall pretty good

When we arrived the Wifi was out in the cabin. There was no printed information there. Internet access was weak and I had to drive to Pigeon Forge to read the email with the host’s phone number. Be sure to print it out before you go. The host was very nice and got a repairman out within a couple of hours. There is weak sound insulation in the cabin. One bedroom is on the second floor right above the other. You can hear every sound, including coughing, in the other bedroom. That might be awkward if two couples are staying there. But it seems great for parents and kids, especially if you want to hear if your kid has nightmares because the host recommends keeping the front door closed so bears don’t come. The area is very quiet outside and the temperature control worked great. There are 14 stairs to climb from the driveway to the front door. One hint is to first always press the lower left part of the square black cypher lock above the front door handle. That illuminates the keypad so you can put in your access code.

Clean, comfortable, cozy, convenient

Cant say enough food about this cabin. There are big, comfortable beds, great amenities, and it's central to both Gatlinburg and Sevierville. The whole family loved playing ping pong and especially Pacman (before our time and a fun diversion). We saw bear families on the property, which were cool, and enjoyed the firepit. The owners are very communicative but not annoying, and clearly put a lot of care into hosting their guests and making them comfortable. Can't give this cabin a good enough review.

Great Cabin- even better in person.

This was one of the most relaxing stays we’ve had in a cabin in Tenn. It was even nicer than the listing promised. Very clean, plenty of room and the porches (hot tub, ping pong, grill, porch swing and seats) are great. There is an upstairs landing with twin beds that the kids loved. Plenty of TVs and a very well stocked kitchen for pans and dishes. Host is very responsive to all messages and there were no issues with access or anything.

Relaxing Stay in an awesome location

This cabin is located between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. It was the perfect location for our Tennessee get away. The cabin was very welcoming! My family enjoyed the fire pit in the front yard and the wood burning fireplace in the living room. The kitchen had all the tools we needed to cook and eat breakfast and dinner in the cabin every day of our stay. We enjoyed the hot tub and ping pong table on the screened in porch. We all slept well on the comfortable beds. My youngest, 11yr old enjoyed sleeping in the loft! GPS can get a little difficult on the mountain roads be sure to write down some directions to avoid constant changes in your GPS. Mid to late October is a beautiful time to visit the beautiful cabin!

Great Mountain Getaway

Looking for some peace and quiet for a couple of days and this place did not disappoint. It was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Great proximity to PF and Gatlinburg. The hosts were great at communicating all the info we needed. I highly recommend but be prepared for some steep mountain roads. Getting there was an experience in itself for someone used to the flat land in Texas. Will definitely be back.

Wonderful getaway in the woods!

We were 2 retired couples meeting back up in the Smoky mountains and we had a great time at Bearolina cabin. The road up and down was very windy, narrow, and steep, but worth it when you got there. Very easy check-in process, great communication with the hosts, and everything worked and was clean. We incorrectly assumed there was a walk-in shower in the master bathroom on the main level, not just the Jacuzzi tub, but that was our mistake for not checking the listing properly. I do think a large walk-in shower would be more useful for most guests since there is already a huge hot tub on the screened-in porch. Loved the extra throw blankets, the decks, the porch, and the table tennis table particularly. Very nice place, and the loft area was also a big bonus, providing extra space.

Birthday trip

The cabin was perfect for our stay! My older parents enjoyed their stay and to relax. We had everything we needed to cook homemade meals and even bake my birthday cake. A bear visited us (didn’t bother us, just going through the yard) and made our stay even better. We enjoyed being 20 min from Pigeon Forge and even closer to Gatlinburg, and about 30 min from great hiking trails. The cabin was the perfect size for 4 adults. Would definitely come back!

Beautiful Cabin

Our family spent several days at this cabin. Upon arrival we found the cabin to be very clean and comfortable. The only challenge was getting up the mountain. There were construction vehicles parked precariously on the curves and it made it very dangerous at times. Overall it was a great vacation spot.

About the host

Hosted by Matt & Tracey

Host profile image
The two of us are North Carolina natives who love to travel. From the mountains to the coast, we enjoy it all. We have 2 little ones, and after their first trip to the Smokies our girls were hooked!

Why they chose this property

We got a place where we could come and enjoy time as a family, and we would love to share our cabin with you. Our hope is to provide a comfortable, inviting space from which you can explore all the Smoky Mountains have to offer!

What makes this property unique

Both the main & 2nd level suite have king beds w/brand new hybrid memory foam mattresses & flat screen TV w/streaming. The bathroom on main level is accessible from the bedroom w/separate bathroom entry off the living room area. The 2nd level has full bathroom w/shower-tub combo.

The loft includes 2 twin beds, Smart TV, family board/card games, and cozy log furniture.

The kitchen is well stocked and features new granite countertops, new fridge and new microwave. Other amenities include Keurig Duo Coffee maker, toaster, stove and dishwasher.

Sit by the wood-burning fireplace, play the arcade machine with 60 classic games, venture onto the screened porch to play a game of ping-pong or take some time out to soak in the 5-person hot tub. Step out back on the private deck to prepare dinner on the grill and eat in the great outdoors or just sip a glass of wine taking in some fresh-air. Or just grab a seat on the porch swing or rocking chairs to relax in the woods!

We are tucked away about 3 miles from the main parkway. The roads leading up to the cabin can be winding and narrow in places once you leave the parkway, with some steep climbs for about the last half mile. Keep in mind that during the winter months we recommend 4-wheel drive if there is snow.

We do provide a starter set of toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, body wash, K-Cups, as well as salt/pepper. Also we do have washer/dryer combo but do not provide detergent due to guests allergies.

There are floodlight cameras on the front exteriors of the cabin to monitor the entryway and also the front door. It lights the front entrance for our guests, captures video of any wildlife that wanders near the cabin, and helps with weather monitoring and occupancy compliance.

Minimum age 25 to reserve the cabin.

Due to allergies, our cabin is not pet friendly.

Please refer to the house rules and rental agreement before booking, by booking you are accepting the house rules.
